WARNING!
The maple syrup and baking soda cure is yet another miracle cure that originated in that bastion of journalistic integrity "The Weekly World News". A Google search on Jim kelmun revealed that hundreds of alternative healing websites all carry the same story, almost always with the same wording, about the 75-year-old truck-driver, who stumbled upon the putative cancer cure. Apart from this, there doesn't appear to be any other reference to Dr Kelmun online, including Wikipedia, which is odd, given his apparent long-running battle with health authorities. I'm not saying that the cure doesn't work; however, there is good reason to treat this cure with a grain of salt or, in this case, baking soda.
