Apple Cider Vinegar, Ketogenic Diet

I've had good results dabbing a drop of wild organic oregano oil on a BCC on my leg, then covering it with a band-aid. I re-apply every couple of days with a new band-aid. I've done it for about 2 months, and it has shrunk until invisible; the skin looks normal, but I am continuing to apply it every few days, with a few days in-between of not treating it at all. Thinking I'll stop in another month. I hope this works for you.

P.S. Make sure you buy organic oregano oil in a "carrier" oil such as olive oil. And don't get it into your eyes!

I had a scab on my scalp that was 12mm in diameter and very slowly getting bigger. My doctor referred me to a surgeon who did a punch biopsy. The results showed that it was BCC and the surgeon said that I would need surgical removal fairly soon. The wait for an appointment to see a surgeon for an evaluation was two months so that made it easy to decide to use an alternative treatment. Although I had Black Salve available, it felt too extreme to use on the thin flesh of my scalp so I chose instead to apply baking soda and coconut oil once a day, thanks to all the Earth Clinic reports.

After a week, it got a bit irritated with some small amounts of blood expressed. At that point, I cut away the hair in the area and started applying a Band-Aid to keep it from my pillow when I slept. In the shower every day I washed my hair normally and then applied pHisohex anti-bacterial face wash as an antiseptic and then rinsed that as well.

After eight weeks the bleeding stopped and signs of the BCC were disappearing. I kept applying the mix for four more weeks just in case. Now the hair is growing back well although it's a little lighter and the only way I can tell where it was it is a slight dent in my scalp. I stopped six weeks ago. In a follow-up visit to my doctor I had to show him twice where the BCC used to be.

FYI, I consulted three more surgeons who all said it needed to be cut out and one even said I'd need a skin graft (where no hair would grow) to cover the wound. At that point the (free) surgery wouldn't actually be available for another three months as I am a public patient with a low time-priority issue. None of them would discuss my self-treatment for legal reasons.

In retrospect, I'd try the Black Salve as a quicker treatment and possibly more certain cure. Thank you EARTHCLINIC!

I have had a place on my neck for years, I have tried just about everything....Coconut oil....Castor oil making a paste using baking soda.....Nothing worked, I came across eggplant and apple cider vinegar, made me a batch, waited four days....Two days ago I started using it, after one day part of the middle came off....Day two the center has come off, the core I guess, looks bad....It bled some when I took the bandage off this morning, and part of the growth came off.....I reapplied this morning, I think it is working, it looks a lot smaller....I hope....The $144 cream is probably a scam, it may work, but is way overpriced....They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of people, but...That's how this world works....I will keep on trying....

I also found that it is used in traditional aboriginal medicine to treat skin ulcers!

I guess it's called "common" because it is found everywhere on the east coast of Australia.

It just springs up along fences and in even in cracks in the pavement.

Hi,

Has anyone successfully used oil of oregano on a basal cell carcinoma? I noticed a red spot on my thigh and thought it was an insect bite (though no pain or itching.) For the past few days, I've applied oregano oil on it and covered it with a band-aid, once a day. It seems to be changing — maybe a bit less red — but today I googled skin cancer and saw photos that made it clear that it is basal cell carcinoma.

My impulse was to make an appointment with my dermatologist, but after reading about BCC on earth clinic, I am thinking Curaderm might be a wise move first, right? But I'm curious as to whether anyone has used oregano oil, and if it was effective.

Thank you!

I had a bcc on my scalp. Had surgery but it came back with a leison that grew larger. I researched and found a lady who had cured her mother's bcc in the same spot as mine with baking soda and coconut oil. She gave a pictorial ongoing account so I tried it and put it on every day and cleaned it at night. It was tender but gradually came off a little at a time. After several weeks the last part came off today. My scalp is red but I am going to put aloe vera on it. Now I'm hoping my hair will grow back there. Not sure if there is any of it remaining under my scalp but guess I'll find out.

I would like to ask if any hydrogen peroxide will do? I have used my hydrogen peroxide on several spots that I suspect to be skin cancer or almost skin cancer. They all are gone. I have a spot on the side of my nose and I have been procrastinating in completely treating it with HP which means I would have it bandaged and the spot might look gnarly for a week or two or so before it basically disappears. The spot on my nose is probably pre cancerous or in the earlier stages. I'm a big holistic health advocate but let's say I don't always eat like one. So, anyway, here I am trying to learn more about spraying hydrogen peroxide in my mouth and maybe the MOST discreet spot-on treatment for the side of my nose...Thank you so much in advance. Peace and Love!

I am treating my husband's bcc. It was cut out and came back. This is our third week of baking soda covered with a moist bandage. It is doing it's thing. It is quite large. And, very painful for him. The outer skin is hardened but turning a clear color. I think this might take a long time to clear up. Wanted to join the conversation as someone who understands as he is suffering quite a bit due to the treatment which made me a little concerned if we need to see a doctor.

However, to kill it completely I think personally this is the way to go. We haven't tried hydrogen peroxide because he was dead against it. So, I have only used baking soda. Praying we come through this as it is kind of gross. He has two areas on his back that look like bullet or arrow wounds. I am not kidding. I feel for him and have see his bright personality go into the depths of humility really fast as the roots of this cancer is being extracted and destroyed. What a journey! Thanks for letting me sob!! :)

I have Petty spurge growing here and have tried the sap and a poultice of the plant ground up...Maybe the California species I have is not as strong...it has an effect but nothing like what is described here... I have knocked out some small ones completely but the larger ones are being very resilient though getting ever so slightly smaller.

Hi all I am starting to use lugols on a suspicious spot on my arm which has always concerned me. I have read that this is a slow process of about 30 days and have chosen this method over others because I don't wish to damage my surrounding skin and I am delivering much needed iodine to my body. I have many spots so this is the guinea pig one and I will let you know how it goes. So far (day three) I can advise a tingling sensation only on the spot after application which gives me confidence. I never knew these spots were 'bad' I always called them beauty spots but the reaction after lugols tells me. My surrounding skin does not tingle on application.

Hi Ben,

Saw your post of 2016. So you say the eggplant BEC treatment is pretty good, and safer. I've been reading how aggressive the black salve can be.

I came across mixing vitamin c and dmso. I understand that dmso becomes a transporter for other things, and that one has to take precaution using it, since it opens up the area to which one applies it to, but also very effective. When I read this I became a bit scared to use it. I just received some in the mail along with my vitamin order, and only did a skin patch test. I can tell it's rather strong, because the arm I did the test on, I could feel my elbow itching and tingling later on. Did you use vitamin c with the dmso? O.K., thank you for the information shared.

It is so good to read others experiences using different protocols.

MARIA,,,,,,, glad blood root worked for you and it does eat cancer. I aborted my use of it once because I got spooked. An Integrative doctor in Atlanta told me that he misused it in addressing cancer and it ate a hole in his back. Maybe that is a small price to pay for eliminating cancer. I would just be cautious.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but blood root is a very strong remedy. Right now, I have a spot near my right eye that I am addressing with Cureaderm. Maybe, I should let my Dermatologist address this problem. A short while ago I took off a spot on my shoulder with Cureaderm. If it is not cancer, it will not affect your skin. You do not have to get a biopsies, because the treatment will tell you. Basel Cell is one thing, but Squamous Cell is another. Both are skin cancers, but not equal.

I wish you well. ====ORH==

Love this site...a tag between my breasts turned brown, became hard and it hurt if I bumped it. I put a tiny bit of Cansema on it and it burnt a little but bearable. The next day, I washed it off. Cansema, which is a bloodroot salve only starts its action if cancer is present...otherwise nothing. A few days later, three small craters opened up ABOVE the left breast and the original tag between the breasts disappeared completely. The craters oozed pus, there were little white dots around them, like tiny beads, and I was careful to keep them clean and covered. A painful dragging feeling in the left breast started, mainly at night but again not unbearable. I kept positive and asked inwardly for courage and help. After a few weeks, the holes started to close up. The scars were raised, soft and dark pink in colour. It took a year for them to stop feeling tender and fade to my skin colour. That was four years ago and no further action!

Cured 3 BCC with ACV and baking soda with coconut oil.

The first time I removed my bcc, I used ACV soaked in a cotton ball and taped it to my BCC every night. After a few days it turned red and after about a month I was BCC free.

The second time I removed my bcc, it was close to my eyes, so I used baking soda with coconut oil 1 tbsp each mixed and made a paste and applied it to the area. After about 2 weeks I was bcc free. I had to deal with scabbing and redness but after that I'm bcc free.

Hi CB, THANK YOU so much for your detailed input. What you describe is exactly what I have been dealing with for two years now. My BCC spot is on the side of my nose. It started out as a small 'sun spot' -- light brown, slightly raised -- enough that I noticed it from the corner of my eye. I stupidly put Compound W on it (for warts). That did indeed burn off the small spot (smaller than the top of a pencil eraser), but ever since then I've been dealing with what looks exactly like a BCC (from pics on 'net) that won't heal. I've tried numerous home treatments, and managed to get it to the point it looked like it was about gone, only to have it start growing back. I haven't tried ACV, but will start that regimen today, thanks to your input. So tired of having this on my nose, but I have no health insurance and no desire to have half my nose cut off by an overzealous derm. Blessings to you for giving me the info and a new hope for clearing this on my own w/o losing half my nose.

Nodula basal cell carcinoma

A dermatologist diagnosed my spot next to my nose (quite close to my eye). I decided not to see a surgeon but to try something natural. I googled Black salve and decided to give it a go. It's not available in shops but I managed to find someone who makes it locally.

I first used a buffpuff to roughen up the area on my nose and then applied the Black salve covered with a plaster. The spot was average size but raised. I covered more of my nose than just the spot. Within 24 hours it was bubbling yellow liquid out. I thought well this is good. When I removed the plaster the area was very sensitive. I didn't get a nice neat eschar like I had seen on someone elses post but instead when the yellow crust had been washed off gradually (when the area was not very sore anymore) I had quite a scar.

Well I thought, at least I got it all out.

Now around the scar I have a couple of tiny spots and a larger one on top area. Does this mean it's back? I don't want to use Black salve again in case my scar splits open. As a side note I also had a sore inside my nose slightly lower down from the original spot. This would gather mucous and it was sticky. I wonder if this is connected?

My main question is should I now do the Apple cider vinegar. What can I expect? Must I soak cotton on it or can I just dab?

Unfortunately one of the worst things for your health is negativity.
Countless people on this forum have indeed had healing from a multitude of health issues by improving their pH.
I don't recommend that you read about them though and make your blood pressure rise.

Your lies about BCC need to come down. You're misleading people. You should be sued. The only truth listed is that ACV is rich in nutrients. You cannot under any circumstances treat BCC with the listed suggestions. Your claim of raising ph is ludicrous. Do yourself a favor, google alkaline diet myth, read the scientific journals and evidence. As someone who has fought BCC for ten years I can tell you there are about twenty other bad suggestions out there. Might want to stop being one of the outlets that propagates this lie.

Re apple cider vinegar, etc

Hi, I'm a 41 yo male. 3 years ago I had a Keracanthoma. I had it surgically removed on my nose. It required multiple extensive plastic surgeries to fix the defect. It looks like I have another one popping up on my nose again on the other side. The first time I had no idea what it was so I had it let go for 2 mos before I went to Drs. I happen to have a appt w myy PCP as he likes to see me every 2 1/2 mos every since this occurred. So im planning to have take a look even tho thats not his specialty. If I schedule a appt w a Derm it w likely be 6 weeks away. Is there anything you can recommend in mean time. As this is starting up im thinking if I catch it early I can better treat it without the mohs etc.

Everyone seems to respond to different things. You may have to work harder to get rid of yours. I will suggest reading about apricot kernals for the b12. Hydrogen peroxide therapy. Even negative thoughts. Nutrition can be a big part of the healing process. Also exercise. Some people have to pull out all stops while others get sucess quickly with only a couple changes or treatments. Good luck. I know its hard because it will take a lot of self disipline.

Whether you get it cut out or use the natural remedies you are still only addressing the symptons. You need to also treat the causes using diet and lifestyle changes. To develope all the other problems you mentioned sounds like you eat a poor diet and possibly a sedamentary life style. I don't like medicines either but I doubt if you can blame all the problems on a medicine you took. I don't think that can be proven.

I had my first basal cell on my chest which a dr cut out and left a big scar. It came back so I used apple cider vinegar to clean the area and allowed it to sit on the basal cell which at times burned but nothing intolerable. I then mixed baking soda, vitamin c crystals and a little water to dissolve the crystals. The site grew into a half heart shape, turned black, crusted, and eventually closed in about 3 weeks. My husband made me go for a biopsy because he doesn't believe in my "witch doctoring" as he calls it. Biopsy clear 😊.

I got another one above my lip and along my hairline. I treated them the same and again my husband made me biopsy. All clear! I told him I healed 3 so I will not biopsy any more because it is 2 cuts, 1 to diagnose and 1 to prove to him it is clear. He is very cautious because he had one on his back that required mohrs surgery so he couldn't believe I was able to cure my own. He then got another one on his back and gave me the opportunity to "Witch doctor" on him. It took about 2 months to cure his simply because he would vascilate between whether he believed it would work or not but I convinced him to at least let me try before his appointment and now it is all clear. 😊

IF you use the treatment faithful 2 times a day, it should honestly not take more than 2-3 weeks to clear up but I know depending on location, you can't walk around with a white paste.

Hi, unfortunately my doctor put me onto Aldara under its generic name DS. I've had some bad effects and am getting checked out for dementia pre-Alzheimer's because of sudden bad effects, not just low grade of what is like a pre-Alzheimer's it turns out. Parkinsons is in the family and it was suspected that it might he causing previous issues before. However, I'm here about vision. My vision seems to have degraded a bit more. I would like to ask what the vision degregation mechanism is DS? Because if it is because of demylination only, I have in the past treated mine with natural myelination cofactors and much improved my vision back. But if one doesn't treat fast enough the demyelination results in progressive nerve cell death over time that can't be repaired. So while things are better it doesnt get 100% and when it happens again the 100% of what remains can be lower. Worth looking up remyelination. Another warning, the effects seem to come up when my immune system came up.

Hi, I am Australian (skin cancer capital) and a medical scientist. I have had about 60 BCCs since age 18, now aged 43. First treated through surgeries/ grafts/ MOHs, then Aldara for many years. Unfortunately before internet I didn't know of more natural options and was not told of Aldara's side effects.

If you have sun damaged skin there is good evidence now of usage of vitamin B3 and curcumin (both orally and topically), see Sydney Uni studies etc. They may also work on already established BCCs (even my very left brained doctor told me about trying these). My skin cancers have almost halted since I used these and Vit C in past years.

If you are 'told' to use Aldara, PLEASE google it! I have ended up with Parkinson's disease, unfixable vision loss, shingles/ postherpetic neuralgia (excruciating pain through 2/3 of my body), coeliac disease, skin rashes on chest and neck etc. As severe symptoms happened overnight on my last dose, I can connect the dots easily.

I tell the doctors as I don't want others to suffer, they all go into denial and cover it up (as they have prescribed it often for decades for BCC or genital warts). I post this info on medical websites and it does not get posted (they are 'selective'). I don't want others to suffer :) Better to get cut out if need (the surgeons are pretty good stitchers often! ) Otherwise use Aldara minimally. There are class action court cases.

I had a small BCC (basal cell carcinoma) on the bridge of my nose for 5 years. It looked like a small brown scab. It would just stay there for months, unless I pealed it off ... in which case it would bleed and form a new scab. Nothing would take it away, until I began trying apple cider vinegar. I dipped a small, flat, cotton oval pad (the kind used to remove makeup) into apple cider vinegar, and I placed the pad on the bridge of my nose. I left the soaked pad on my nose for 20 minutes a day. Slowly, the small scab-looking BCC started to fade, leaving a bumpy, pink lesion underneath.

At about the 4th week of treatment, the pink lesion seemed to suddenly become wider. I was frightened, until I read that BCC's can actually run deeper and wider than their surface appearance: BCC's can have deeper tentacle-like structures underneath their surface. Unless all of these "tentacles" of the BCC are removed, the cancer will grow back. So I continued applying the ACV-soaked pads to the bridge of my nose.

By the 7th week of treatment, the bumpy pink lesion flattened out. By then it looked like flat new skin had completely replaced the BCC. Nevertheless, I continued another week of treatment. It looked like the BCC was actually gone, after only 8 weeks! Since then, I have not applied apple cider vinegar to the area, and the BCC has never returned!

Update: May 9, 2017

Although the apple cider vinegar seemed to completely get rid of my BCC, it started to regrow very slowly like a scab three months later (Jan 2017). This time, I did not retreat the BCC with apple cider vinegar. I just ignored it and went on with my life, since it was still very small. However, by April, I decided to try a different treatment. Since I had read that cancers feed off sugar, I began a ketogenic diet (no sugar and no carbs) to try and see if I could starve out the cancer. Within a week, the BCC started to shrink, and within a month the BCC was completely gone! So I have decided to remain on the ketogenic diet for the rest of this summer, just to make sure the cancer does not return. Meanwhile, I have discovered another benefit of the ketogenic diet ... my psoriasis has cleared up!
