I have a few small areas of skin cancer on my forehead and ear, which were removed because they were cancerous. I removed one using blood-root, but it was painful and unsightly because of the color of bloodroot, but it never came back. The ones the doctor 'dug out' are coming back. The one on my ear is crusty and itchy. I've started to put 1 drop of 12% food grade H2O2 on each spot 1-2x a day. It burns + hurts about 20 minutes and then it's okay. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Has anyone applied Apple Cider vinegar in the ear? I have cells in ear and lobe. I have been treating and seems to be festering. Painful stage now but continuing on. Have done this before in a different part of the ear. Has not come back at the place before but now in a different spot. Seems to be in the ear canal and applying vinegar on cotton. Just wondering if anyone else has done this?

Thanks! I continued on with the ACV and it cleared up and looked great. Now I am a year plus later and it has returned. Same location and once again doing the AVC. I went to doc after the last one and she looked at my ear and would not believe the pictures I showed her and that I just burnt my ear and that there were easier options than ACV. She said ear looked fine and no need to do anything. Well I made an appointment today but they said a month from now so I decided to do ACV again and thinking it will be looking better in a month…May or may not keep the appt. But wondering why it returns. Continuing on AVC and once again starting day 2 and the pain is beginning but I know now what will be expected. I did it a very long time last time and really burnt it out but now again?

Eyelid BCC Remedies

I was diagnosed last year with BCC on the right lower eyelid, it is across the waterline so touches my eyeball. The Hospital wanted to remove it, alas after questioning (because you should question everything) it appeared I was not afforded the full details of what they proposed. They lost my trust and faith rapidly and then with the scare tactics and silliness my decision was confirmed to follow my gut and remain true to my beliefs that one can heal anything naturally with the right mediums/environment and tools.

So basically this began approx 5 years ago (Dr told me initially to use baby shampoo clean my make-up correctly nothing to worry about) I know right disgraceful. In the past year, I have used, 7% of Lugol's iodine mixed with a tiny drop of castor oil - stings like hell - it managed to rid 1 nodule but the other remains, alas I did stop using the iodine because my eye was getting so sore.

Since I use daily MSM & colloidal silver mix, every eve at bathtime I smother it with bentonite clay mixed with frankincense water. I was using fullers earth. I have also been applying in the day a thick paste of aluminum free baking soda mixed with the MSM & silver solution - again stings like hell and does hurt my eye creating it to water and then all goes haywire.

I am juicing daily and having 50ml of max strength aloe vera juice. Every morning I drink a teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in a glass of filtered water. every evening I drink a tablespoon of diatomaceous earth dissolved in filtered water. I supplement with B3 (Nicotinamide), B12, D3, digestive enzymes, probiotics and NAC. I also mix in my fresh-made green veg juices with my homegrown wheatgrass - moringa, neem, spirulina and chlorella powder - (OMG it's bloody vile but I guzzle it down)

I spray transdermal magnesium on my feet every night at bedtime and I use MCT oil to moisturise my face and neck.

I was trying to take vit c - I have the powder and kept taking it to try and find my max threshold well I can get to around 15-16g per day and still have no toilet issues but my tummy keeps bloating. I am finding that I am suffering stupidly with god awful wind even I wish I could run away from myself it's that bad. I eat salads minimal meat - grass-fed steak once a weak, oily fish 3-4 times a week other than that it's vegetable juices and salad. No wheat, gluten, dairy, soy or potato. I drink plenty of filtered water and homemade herbal teas, mistletoe, cbd shake, dandelion or matcha green tea.

I am very spiritual, I am doing all I can from that aspect too.

Yet still, this ghastly thing won't be on its way. Does anyone have any ideas or has had any success with a BCC so close to the eyeball. I am so tired of trying could use a little inspiration if anyone has any, please.

Many thanks

HI U OLE PATOOTS DOIN,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, man, did not do my keratosis thing last year and my face is covered with a cancer of some sort. My dermatologist would change my looks forever if I allowed his knife. Instead, I am using Curaderm as I have for many years. He knows of it, but will not acknowledge. That's the way they are. The reaction is so drastic that I can hardly stand the pain. But it does subside in an hour or so. I have stopped my 2 treatments /D to allow my face to heal. It has now peeled and looks great, but I am not comfortable and will start my program again next week. I am wearing a long shirt this year and a straw shade hat. My ole Mississippi PawPaw knew this many moons ago. His skin was like an ivory soap bar. It never saw the sun. Now...... he did have a wrinkled red neck for certain. What is so amazing about Cruaderm is that it only reacts with cancer cells. Put it on healthy skin and nothing happens. Curaderm can be bought on line. I initially bought it from the Dr who made it. Now, I buy it from Walmart. There are scam folks here....... so beware. ====ORH====

Thanks ORH, and yes I have done my research on Curaderm and decided against it because the affected area is so large and I need to be ever so careful around my eyes. Will first see how this works, I doubt that I can get all of it in only one treatment series, maybe for spot treatment later on I will reconsider again. Thanks for your reply.

What ratio do you use with coconut oil bicarb?
I do this, making a thick paste so it does not melt all over, I do not have pain or stinging.. I add a bandage to secure it.
How long do you suggest it takes to have an effect so that I know something is at work?
What does ACV mean and the other abbreviations you are using?
Have you tried anything else, how long did you have these before you acted upon it?
Thank you for sharing ure experience.

Your lies about BCC need to come down. You're misleading people. You should be sued. The only truth listed is that ACV is rich in nutrients. You cannot under any circumstances treat BCC with the listed suggestions. Your claim of raising ph is ludicrous. Do yourself a favor, google alkaline diet myth, read the scientific journals and evidence. As someone who has fought BCC for ten years I can tell you there are about twenty other bad suggestions out there. Might want to stop being one of the outlets that propagates this lie.

Preventing BCC

Hi, unfortunately my doctor put me onto Aldara under its generic name DS. I've had some bad effects and am getting checked out for dementia pre-Alzheimer's because of sudden bad effects, not just low grade of what is like a pre-Alzheimer's it turns out. Parkinsons is in the family and it was suspected that it might he causing previous issues before. However, I'm here about vision. My vision seems to have degraded a bit more. I would like to ask what the vision degregation mechanism is DS? Because if it is because of demylination only, I have in the past treated mine with natural myelination cofactors and much improved my vision back. But if one doesn't treat fast enough the demyelination results in progressive nerve cell death over time that can't be repaired. So while things are better it doesnt get 100% and when it happens again the 100% of what remains can be lower. Worth looking up remyelination. Another warning, the effects seem to come up when my immune system came up.

Whether you get it cut out or use the natural remedies you are still only addressing the symptons. You need to also treat the causes using diet and lifestyle changes. To develope all the other problems you mentioned sounds like you eat a poor diet and possibly a sedamentary life style. I don't like medicines either but I doubt if you can blame all the problems on a medicine you took. I don't think that can be proven.

Re apple cider vinegar, etc

Hi, I'm a 41 yo male. 3 years ago I had a Keracanthoma. I had it surgically removed on my nose. It required multiple extensive plastic surgeries to fix the defect. It looks like I have another one popping up on my nose again on the other side. The first time I had no idea what it was so I had it let go for 2 mos before I went to Drs. I happen to have a appt w myy PCP as he likes to see me every 2 1/2 mos every since this occurred. So im planning to have take a look even tho thats not his specialty. If I schedule a appt w a Derm it w likely be 6 weeks away. Is there anything you can recommend in mean time. As this is starting up im thinking if I catch it early I can better treat it without the mohs etc.

Everyone seems to respond to different things. You may have to work harder to get rid of yours. I will suggest reading about apricot kernals for the b12. Hydrogen peroxide therapy. Even negative thoughts. Nutrition can be a big part of the healing process. Also exercise. Some people have to pull out all stops while others get sucess quickly with only a couple changes or treatments. Good luck. I know its hard because it will take a lot of self disipline.

Hi Jim,

Very much appreciate your detailed explanation of how the bloodroot plant works. You have done a huge amount of research and are obviously and expert in this area. I had no prior knowledge of this process and can see it does seem quite arduous compared to the petty spurge treatment. I wonder if you have found it is as effective, considering the amount of preparation involved? I think I'll stick with the latter as it certainly seems a little more manageable. As per your notes, I did have that issue of a small crater forming on my nose after, perhaps, one too many applications. Thankfully, the skin grew over in a few weeks but definitely something to be careful with.

Picato is extremely expensive and $600 per pack would not surprise me at all! Having treated myself with both the gel and the herb, I can honestly say the results were both positive - the noticeable point of differentiation being that the latter was free!

NB: I did pay $12 for seeds as my initial and one off investment!

Vitamin C Sodium Ascorbate, Hyaluronic Acid
Posted by Frozintime (Madbury, Nh ) on 09/25/2015
★★★★☆

I have found 3 small 1-1.5cm bsc's on my upper chest. Both my brother and mother have had extensive MOHS and various skin cancer removals. I noticed one small scar on my upper chest, almost my shoulder and it changed to a scar look, and became ringed with teeny blister bumps. Well...I had noticed the spot about 3 months ago and so it isn't too old. Then I looked and I had two others....although apparently just looking like scars and not discolored.

I decided to try Vit C sodium ascorbate and hyaluronic acid. Basically about equal part vit c and HA and then add about 8 times the water until it becomes gel like without solid crystals. It is then saturated. I try to make small batches using about 1/4 tsp vit c and HA, with normally a teaspoon and a half of purified water....sometimes 2 tsp...not exact but it gels up. There are 2 types of vit c, sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid.... supposedly your supposed to use the sodium version, although I started with the Ascorbic. The ascorbic after the first treatment turned my spot that had the tiny blisters crusty and black spotted....within 3 days it fell off.

As of now....about 11 days it has gotten a tad smaller, the blisters are gone and it has changed color to a more skin tone(normal). I can still see it...the other 2 I can barely see in bright light, but I know where they are so keep adding the vit c. Anyhow, I plan to do this for at least a month.....and I put it on at least once a day, but normally twice. I think we are supposed to do it 2 to 3 times a day.

Anyhow....that's it. I sent photos to my Mom who was rather surprised. I will check back as this progresses. Oh....I used the ascorbic acid and it seemed to work too....I started then switched as the hyaluronic recipe is actually a skin wrinkle recipe to help smooth skin. That's all I know as of now. Will check back.

Vitamin C Sodium Ascorbate, Hyaluronic Acid

Hi Frozintime! Do you have BSC (baso-squamous) or plain BCC? I'm very interested in your treatment with VitC and HA. My mom got her biopsy today and it's BSC. I'm so worried, I want to find all nature ways to get rid of BSC on my mom (in parallel with MOHS and Aldara). I'm so frightened, any advice? She got MOHS, but a new pearl-like nodule appears near his nose bridge...maybe can I use Vit. C?

Vitamin C Sodium Ascorbate, Hyaluronic Acid
Posted by Matt (Madbury, Nh) on 03/18/2016

Mine are just plain Basal Cells. I am still applying the mixture as of today. I forget now and again, or only apply when I remember since they have really shrank, and I think are non aggressive now. All 3 of mine are less than half the size of original, and the color tones are almost totally normal, but they can still flare color wise for some reason. My mother gave me a lotion that indicates whether the cancer cells are active(it was a very expensive skin lotion that is used to treat skin cancers), about 2 months ago....I tried it and got no reaction which supposedly means they are not active or regenerating at this time and are most likely dead.

I would definitely try the Vit C/Hyaluronic just to see what the reaction is. If you get a reaction it is good....if not, stick with traditional Dr. and treatment. I wish I had a better guarantee, but it seemed to work for me, but I cannot say it will work on Squamous cells.

Best advice I can try....I got everything online for less than 45 dollars, and it worked for me. Best 45 I ever spent. When I showed my Mother she was completely stunned.....she couldn't believe the reaction and how well it had worked. Neither could I....good luck to you, I wish I knew or could tell you more.

OK...I went and looked and my Mom had given me a small dab of Efudex. She told me to be careful and a little dab will do ya! I got no reaction from an efudex application after having used the VIT C/HA for 4 months, so I believe the BCC's are non active and most likely dead. I can say the cancer is not active now...but because I can still see albeit about half their original sizes or less, and just one or two shades darker than my normal skin. If this continues I will be back in another 6 months (I will quit applying in a few months) and give this a cure assuming it doesn't come back again. I need to check with my mother too since she has really been through the ringer and was going to try my treatment. I have been using the Vit C/HA for almost exactly 6 months.

Hi Ben,

Saw your post of 2016. So you say the eggplant BEC treatment is pretty good, and safer. I've been reading how aggressive the black salve can be.

I came across mixing vitamin c and dmso. I understand that dmso becomes a transporter for other things, and that one has to take precaution using it, since it opens up the area to which one applies it to, but also very effective. When I read this I became a bit scared to use it. I just received some in the mail along with my vitamin order, and only did a skin patch test. I can tell it's rather strong, because the arm I did the test on, I could feel my elbow itching and tingling later on. Did you use vitamin c with the dmso? O.K., thank you for the information shared.

It is so good to read others experiences using different protocols.

Apply Povidone Iodine at least once daily. A synthetic Triple Antibiotic Ointment found at most pharmacies would likely help.

2 red lesions popped up on my chest in 2012. I decided to swab it with red wine vinegar (RWV) since that also cleared up some kind of red lesion on the side of my nose in 2010. that one was a bit oily, but no dripping. it was also a bit sore/tender if lightly touched with my finger. the ones in 2012 were not sore/tender and had no oily discharge. I applied the RWV 2-4 times daily to those. 5 weeks later they were quite faded. 3 weeks later, gone. Another one popped up about 1 yr ago. Did the RWV again. Caught this one earlier. Took only 3-4 weeks of RWV. Now, 4 more have popped up in the last week: 2 on stomach, 1 on chest, one on shoulder. I think they may be basal cell (BCC) carcinoma, but not sure. They sure look the pics of BCC on the internet.

Anyone have any suggestions of ridding myself of these things? - other than a doc which is a last resort.

Don, there must be a reason they are popping up. Food? Feelings? Explore!

Red Wine Vinegar
Posted by Don (Long Beach, Ca) on 08/02/2015

Feelings? I don't know about that one, but I guess ones outlook/attitude on life (if that's what you mean by "feelings") can have an effect on health. I have a very negative outlook on life; plus, I rarely exercise. I'm thinking maybe some exercise might help as I was waking up in the middle of the night a few yrs ago caused by a tad of vile wanting to come up from my stomach into my throat. I started jogging (not because I thought it would help, but because I had planned on getting some exercise before the vile). The vile subsided a bit more with every day of jogging until it went 100% away. I stopped jogging after a few weeks, but the vile hasn't returned.

As far as food goes, I don't think I'm eating anything different before the lesions.

Being blond/blue, and now 54 y/o and having many sunburns in the 70/80s I was thinking that may have something to do with the lesions. but most of the sunburns were on my arms, upper shoulders and back. no lesions there.

Thanks for the reply.

Ok guys, now I need your help: anyone know a sure-fire way to remove a basal cell epithelium (less severe than a carcinoma) on the bridge of the nose between the eyes (an awkward place for a cover-up, hence very noticeable)? The doctors are ready to cut but an alternative method is always preferable.

Topical Vitamin C, Iodine, H2O2, Green Clay has already been tried with various results since September. Which one, or any other idea, should be continued?

Posted by Mama To Many (Tennessee, Usa) on 02/08/2014

Dear Mmsg,

I would consider trying frankincense essential oil. It is wonderful for skin issues and lots of other issues. It is gentle and can be used "neat" (without diluting.) Since it is for a delicate skin area and near the eyes, you could dilute it one to one with a carrier oil, perhaps coconut.

Frankincense is a pretty expensive essential oil, but would be cheaper than surgery. Look for a high quality oil. Heritage Essential Oils in TX, USA has excellent quality, but not sure if they ship to Europe.

Another thing to try would be castor oil. You could do both; castor at night and frankincense in the morning.

Please keep us posted!

Thanks, Mama to Many, Dave and Timh. Frankincense has been used but it seems too mild. Or maybe, it is usefull when all the gunk is out. Right now frequent applications of wetted vitamin C powder seems to be pulling out strange brown and clear liquids. So I guess the oils will be useful at night to give the skin a break from the aggressive day treatment. Actually, all this was already done and in about 2 months it was almost healed but there was a raised ring around a depressed crater and that's why it is now being attacked again. Sure enough it has become angry, weeping and ugly! I did learn that iodine creates a scab, and that might NOT be helpful, so now iodine is being applied only about once a day, with the vitamin C powder taking center stage right now during the daytime and oils at night. Timh: when you say Baking Soda and Borax, do you mean applied topically or taken internally? Same question to Dave about the pancreatin. Topically or internally?

Dear Mmsg,

Have you tried anything internal to go with the external? If you haven't tried internal turmeric, you might consider it. 1 teaspoon twice a day. We have found it to help skin stuff so much and it is anti-tumor/cancer.

Mmsg:

Topically use the pancreatin with DMSO.

But won't hurt to take orally in addition. For a therapy to dissolve tumors, large amounts daily must be taken (for internal tumors)....8 each dose, five times daily and Dr Kelly had the patient taking one dose at night...3 AM. But again that was for internal tumors with time off a few days out of two weeks to cleanse the toxins out of system.

Nick Gonzales is the MD in Manhattan who took up the Kelly system. Much more to his system than just the enzymes. Dr Gonzales is one of my heroes.

Jos, firstly, I cannot get any here. Secondly, I'm a little wary of black salve as I'm reading it REALLY hurts and might leave scars. This vitamin C hurts too, but a bit less each time I put it on. Also, yesterday the gook it pulled out was brown, now it's yellow to clear, so I hope it's doing it's job!

Hola Justin! I've read a lot about the "black salve" but seeing that this thing is very visible, on the face between the eyes, we are looking for milder things. We have just tried French Green Clay for a bit, and now we are giving it a few days rest. It HAS stopped weeping and is developing a nice scab. The only undesirable thing is the raised area around this. Is this raised area hiding any more "bad guys"? I don't know.

greetings! I have been dealing with a basal cell carcinoma on my right cheek. I've gone through the scabbing and bleeding off and on for a period of months. I've used Yarrow oil, vitamin e oil, aloe vera, various essential oils, (thyme, rosemary and frankincense) and recently, emu oil, which is very soothing and medihoney, a Canadian compound. The lesion has finally stopped bleeding and is looking much better. I test using kinesiology to check what to use and how much. I refused any medical intervention which consisted of the cream flourouricil. I have also been taking mega doses of vitamin C for months, as well as fish oils and apigenin. its a real journey!

Ok, people. For about two weeks I have been applying clay poultices (wet clay wrapped in a small piece of cotton cloth) for about 1/2 hour at a time on this BCC. I did that about 2-3 times a day. At first there was always gook (pus/blood) on the cloth when I took it off, but today there is no oozing of anything.

BUT, the area is still well defined with bumps and depressions. I will continue with clay but how will I know if it's gone and healing? My surgery is yet to be announced by the powers that be, I guess there is a LONG list of surgeries. I am contemplating asking for a biopsy, or punch biopsy or whatever, before they slash. Or if I see ANY part of it turning to normal skin height and looks, I'll be tempted to cancel the surgery. Any thoughts on the geography of what's left?

Mmsg: Very glad to hear from you w/ a positive update. I had been thinking maybe a poultice of Borax would help, as you were considering. I think it worth a try, maybe rotating w/ the Clay. I would also rotate any number of topical natural antibiotics like Iodine, Colloidal Silver, Hydrogen Peroxide. If no further progress, I would highly recommend one of those small Don Croft Zappers; at that local level the pathogens must die from a direct current.

I was shopping for Hemp Oil/CBD on Amazon the other day and found a merchant selling a combo-pack of Hemp Oil for oral consumption w/ a container of Hemp Oil Salve. This would surely make a difference as Cannabinoids are powerful anti-carcinogens.

Hope this helps.

There is a lack of clarification on the subject of age spots. I have two small age spots. I can put citric acid on it a couple times and just rub them off in a short term where the melatonin. I can claim that is a cure but it is not. They will eventually come back. A true cure is when they don't come back and the skin underneath heals.

They say the sun causes them but I just don't buy into that. It doesn't explain the condition under the age spot. Why that spot and not other clear spots. When the true cause gets known then someone will figure out a cure. I think a condition occurs at that spot on the skin and it causes the accumulation of melatonin to collect. I think the sun is just a secondary effect.

I have had a few posts swallowed up by EC but no big deal. I understand.

Ol' Robert Henry, or anyone else that knows: I was at the surgeon today, thinking they would cut out the BCC on the spot, but no, I have to wait for them to give me an appointment for that, so I still have a lil' bit of time to keep trying natural stuff, as I've been doing this past year, only to see the area grow....

My question: I just bought a "stressed" eggplant, blended it and soaked it in white vinegar. As per instructions that I read, I'm supposed to leave it for 3 days to ferment, then start applying it. Do you or does anyone know how soon might I see results? If I see positive results before my appointment, I might postpone the surgery...

Also there is a version made with oil. It is made with "devils apple" which is what Dr Cham started with before he used the eggplant so I believe it could also be made with eggplant.

We have had complete success with 3% H2O2 cream applied 3-5 times a day. It scabbed up & then errupted. this happened twice the 3rd scab then healed leaving a minute scar that you have to look for to find. All the ones removed by specialist dr have visable scars, to be fair he did suggest a plastic surgeon for one. You can make your own using something like non mineral oil sorbulene 10 parts & 35% hydrogen peroxide 1 part. This was pathology diagnosed that was supposed to be removed over 10 yrs ago. needless to say we now treat any spot ourselves with this or iodine. oh and thanks for the sage (herb) suggestion a couple of yrs ago. Hi Ole Robert Henry, your kind words were just so timely the day I read them. Thank you. It's interesting that you have mold issues as this has been a player in contributing to my ill health. Regarding your wife's new moles, could the mold be a contributing factor? I have long wondered about moles as they are often on the body in places that receive very little sunshine. The skin cancer specialist told me to check my husband that night for moles between his toes and his genitals (he was saving himself time! And we were at a clinic specially for hubby to be checked) as they were common places for moles to occur. We paint ours with lugals iodine - so far so good. Have had one that got a little darker and then a black spot in it, so it was treated with the iodine and the black spot is gone and it is lighter. All the best with your journey, God bless.

Hi. my dermatology consultant wants to do a biopsy on a mark on the side of my nose - thinks it may be skin cancer. I have a history of melanoma so he's keen to do the biopsy - which will involve stitches and scar. I think it's more likely an age spot, so have refused the biopsy for now and am trying the apple cider vinegar & aubergine first. What I'd like to know, is if I don't have the diagnosis of skin cancer, and use the solution, and there are no changes as yet, does that mean I don't have skin cancer? Also could I be damaging the skin on my nose using the preparation several times a day?

Suz, I am helping someone handle something similar right now. Since I have read that bloodroot is VERY effective BUT very harsh, I have opted for other topical means (vitamin C, cannabis oil, clay, vinegar, frankincense). I imagine that what you are seeing is the healing process of "two steps forward and one step back", which is what I am seeing. It's a work in progress and a person does need faith and good cheer to keep trying!

I've read with great interest some of the remedies here. I've just had a punch biopsy by a local skin doctor the results of which gave the diagnosis of “Multifocal and Infiltrating Basal Cell Carcinoma.”

I went for a consultation with a local plastic surgeon and when he explained the recommended surgery, it was a real turnoff. He did say that sometimes the biopsy produced a cure and suggested waiting a few weeks. When I got home, I decided to research non-surgical treatments and cures and came up with your site. I was impressed by many of the results shared by people with a similar diagnosis or pathology.

I went out and bought some of the ingredients that were mentioned and seemed to be most effective, like: Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Milk Thistle, 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, Vitamin C Crystals, Iodine (what's different about the “tincture” type of Iodine and is that important in this sort of treatment?) and Colloidal Silver. Any good recipes, using these ingredients?

I have a couple of other questions for those who've experimented successfully with some of the above ingredients. It seems that some of the items mentioned have an acidic base, is that important? Therefore, I wondered if I the Vitamin C should be the acidic type or can it be buffered? Also, is there a difference between crystals and powder? And, has anyone tried altering treatments, like one recipe in the morning and another at night? And, finally, has anyone tried anything using probiotics successfully?

I look forward to hearing your answers to the above questions and any other ideas you might have.

Hi Peter,

there are several video's on youtube about skin cancer cures. I know that anyone can post on youtube but most of them have open comments on them also. A lot of them that I've seen were claiming that the product or products worked. These are not pharmaceuticals, so they are not trying to sell you anything. The reason I responded to your comment was b/c I used to be a big sun worshipper, and I lived on the Jersey Shore beaches all summer long. Now in my 50s, I get a little paranoid if I see a new freckle. I wanted to do some research on my own in case a Dr ever told me that I did have skin cancer. So while I'm not exactly giving you any answers, I'm hoping I was able to help you look into some other options that might help. You may want to search black salve on youtube or one video in particular on there was about BCC and the man documented his progress. You can see it here, http://youtu.be/U2YYYPEcndM

Hope that helps.

Debbie, mine was in the exact place that you describe. I eventually had it removed, leaving a noticeable scar, but I was just "testing" my face with ACV to see if there were any spots that reacted to the ACV. There are none, thank G-d, but I wonder if it's a good test to see what's what. I got the idea from reading the ACV pages and noticing that when people used it for BCC, it went after the tentacles too.

I've got a second BCC which has appeared just under my left eye on the edge of my nose. I would love to try treating it with Milk Thistle. I wanted to ask for a picture of the plant so I can identify the right one. When I google Milk Thistle a few different images come up and I'm not sure if Australian Milk Thistle is the same as what I would find here in the UK (where I'm currently living). If you could help that would be great. Many thanks, Tian.

Dear Tian,

I find that trying to identify herbs from pictures in books and on the internet to be difficult. As you observed, the pictures seem to contradict each other! I usually try to find a person who can easily identify herbs for me in person. (Not easy to find such a person.)

Milk Thistle does grow in Australia, so I wonder if "Australian" Milk Thistle is just identifying the harvest location?

When I am having trouble identifying or obtaining a specific herb for a health condition, I usually just try something else first.

There has also been some recent discussion here at Earth Clinic about using bentonite clay on BCC. It might be something to consider.

Hi, I am delighted to hear that you are all having success with your natural treatments. I wish you all luck and health.

However, being a long time sufferer of BCC I have to say that the Mohs and plastics surgery I have had has been amazing and if you can afford it it has been a good option for me. Several of my colleagues have had large BCC removed from their faces and due to the good auspices of an american trained plastic surgeon are good as new.

The only other thing I would add is if you cure yourself please invest some $ in a biopsy to make sure. I have had a bcc "heal up" only to be active underneath requiring a 2" hole in my neck and a skin graft.

On the subject of melanoma please don't delay I have also been down that route and am still here 16 years later and have seen my kids grow up due to surgery. The prognosis isn't great if it gets out and about.

I'd love to try your cures but for me I can't take a chance with the "experiment".

With very best wishes to you all.

Julie, I've tried all of those things (minus aldara) and more for over a year. Nada. So I've made an appointment for surgery, and am just leaving it alone for now. Lo and behold, it looks a wee bit better, but very crusty and flaky, so I dab on a tiny bit of virgin olive oil once in a while so that it won't look too scary. If there is any significant difference by the time surgery rolls around, I might cancel it.

What I'm thinking is that maybe, just maybe, all those things actually DID work and now it has to heal. Who knows?!

My new biopsy came back BCC infiltrative focal pattern. Perhaps I didn't treat myself long enough with the natural treatments or even effudex. I am 9 days post MOHS. I feel very blessed that it hadn't spread further. Still Doc took out probably a centimeter or more and reconstructed the site. I was very lucky to have a skilled MOHS surgeon. she did a fine job as far as I can tell so far. Yeah, so for me for now, I'm probably going to be very vigilant about going to the Dr if something crops up.

Baking Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide
Posted by Carol (Glasgow, Scotland) on 11/29/2010

For around 2yrs I had a sore on my head that wouldn't heal, it was risen around the edge and depressed in the middle, kinda like a crater. I had a bad habit of picking it and assumed that was why it wouldn't heal so I decided to leave it alone and I put a paste of water and bicarbonate of soda on it at night for a few weeks and it cleared up in no time even although I would forget to put the bicarb on for days at a time.

A few months later a similar eruption appeared nearer the crown of my head and shortly after that another smaller one near it. This time I used 3% Hydrogen Peroxide as I could put it on throughout the day without the hassle of the caked bicarb in my hair. It felt like a needle being stabbed into my brain the first few times I done it, I got such a shock but it only lasted a minute or two and by the third of fourth application I didn't feel anything. Both sores cleared up within two weeks.

Now I couldn't see these sores on my head so don't know what they looked like, only what they felt like so last year when I noticed a small, raised, whiteish circle on my arm I didn't associate it with the things i'd felt on my head until recently when it started to pit/depress in the middle and felt just like them. This time I done a bit of research on skin problems that won't heal by themselves and as soon as I saw pictures and read about Basal Cell Carcinoma I am certain that is what these sores are. I will buy some Hydrogen Peroxide this week and do a follow up in a week or twos time.

i had surgery 8-4-09 for removal. it still seems to be healing. i am at this site to learn if something does work. most of your post on bcc are older posts. i am 70 y/o. if this returns i can try something different.

Finally I tried Effudex twice a day for 3 weeks. I assumed it was cured but the area didn't heal well and it was really a nasty process. Two months later it started to bleed again after accidentally scrubbing the area! I couldn't get an appt with a dermatologist for a month so I tried the melatonin I am on day 10 of powdered melatonin and coconut oil paste and it really seems like it is working, the area looks better and better and is finally not so tender. The best part is you don't have a nasty wound while using the paste and can go out as normal. I never had a biopsy but I think the effudex would have been effective on an ak. He tried light therapy many years ago to no avail, then tried Black Cohosh (which had worked to eliminate later, smaller lesions he also developed). He has also tried other creams/salves with no improvement to the large lesion, it has continued to grow and is now the size of a large hamburger patty covering one of his cheeks on his face. Does anyone have a realistic suggestion as to the TYPE and/or brand of Iodine or Apple Cider Vinegar that could be applied? Hi all, this is my first post. Alarm bells have rung with this comment on cancema from Cameron from Brisbane. I do agree that cancema works really well, but I've only ever treated small BCC's & sunspots with it (about 15 spots so far & 1 mole)& it has been very successful. Cancema is actually made from bloodroot (please see Susan from Texas's section above about bloodroot). This bloodroot paste is not to be messed with & please, please take Susan's advice & do some research before treatment. It can be very aggressive, but very effective. You can not predict how you will react to this stuff. Given the choice, I would recommend using bloodroot paste over surgery.

Here is a video of a gentleman who used it on his face - It is a short film showing the beginning of the process and then how his skin responded over several days. It is quite impressive.

Hi Sue, you should get the skin cancer looked at by the dermatologist as soon as possible. If it was smaller you would have more time to try these remedies like cancema, but it is already too big and you could lose your nose over this. If you insist on using the lotion then I suggest you purchase it right now and don't waste anymore time. If it doesn't work then get to the skin doctor. I have just had one removed from my nose that should have been diagnosed and removed a long time ago and it would have saved me a lot of grief. Best wishes Lily.

I know this thread is old, but in doing my own research I came across it hoping to find some answers myself. Before applying anything to your possible BCC, you may want to read this evidence-based article about Cansema and other topical agents: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/eschar.html

"In 2002, the Archives of Dermatology published a report of four patients who had used escharotic agents instead of standard treatment for a basal cell cancer [1]. In the first patient, the visible tumor was removed and the skin healed. However, a biopsy several months later showed that cancer remained under the skin. The second patient successfully eradicated his tumors but sustained severe scarring that required surgery to repair."

I am young and, as much as I dont want to, I will continue on with my surgical option in hopes that the scar left behind will be smaller than what could potentially happen if other treatments truly are quackery.

I wonder if coconut oil or cream can be used as a substitute for castor oil or using aloe vera gel to hold baking soda together when applying to the skin.. I have a 10 mm BCC on my top lip and. I have been booked for surgery in 3 weeks. So I must try these remedys and possibly avoid the surgery.
