I was a smoker for 39 years. I tried cold turkey many times and cold laser therapy twice with limited results. I used Chantix for my last attempt to stop smoking.

It was very easy to stop smoking.. It's been over seven years since I stopped smoking.

I seriously injured my entire right arm and right shoulder. I was doing some extensive landscaping work for some customers. I would transport very large amounts of topsoil in a 10 cubic ft. wheelbarrow up a very steep hill for most of two days .

I seriously injured my right arm from the top of my right shoulder down to my hand.

The pain would occur whenever I used my right arm. The pain would sometimes be at a temporary paralyzing level for about 15 seconds.

I sincerely need advice on what path I should take to heal my arm. and everyone who supports this website are a blessing to millions of people throughout the world. I need your help.

Please tell me what I should do to end the pain. Thank you and God bless you.

Hello everyone,

Unless something happens where we have to retrace our steps, we will be moving over to the new platform this morning (Dec 31) so Earth Clinic may not be accessible for a few hours or more today. Sorry about that!

As I have mentioned previously, please be patient with us while we get up to speed in the next couple of weeks. We will have to deal with thousands of error messages from pages that have been renamed all over the site and other issues that will come up once we move over that will have to be addressed first.

To begin with, the site will be simplified. You will only have a REPLY button under each post. We will start adding components to comments one by one. But every time we add a new feature, we slow down the site, so we need to be very cautious about adding new components and do a lot of testing first. Also, you will not be able to login on the new site until after we have migrated user accounts in January.

Additionally, the latest posts page has to be created on the new site and we're not sure when that will be done. It's a programming issue.

Approved posts from November 2018 until now will NOT have been uploaded to the new site. No worries, we'll get them uploaded soon. However, every post from the main site from 1999 - November 2018 is uploaded.

Ted's site and our Q&A site will stay the same until we create new websites for those two sites. This means any questions from either of those two sites will not flow through the new EC site as they are no longer going to be connected. More problems for us to solve in the coming months.

Danger - do not use a small Spittoon in bed.

Dear Earth Clinic,

I just wanted to share information on safety when sleeping in a bed. I only know of 2 people that died in this situation but the deaths are horrifying! This happened to my husband's uncle:

The family had not heard from their Uncle David for a few days which was unlike him not to call a relative so a family member stopped by his house to see how David was. Uncle David did not answer the door nor did he respond to calls from the relative so the relative entered the house. He found uncle David dead on the floor of his bedroom with his head in a large coffee can and his room was totally destroyed! The police were called and at first it was thought that Uncle David had been murdered!

But that was not the case. Like many older people Uncle David would place a large coffee can next to his bed to use as a spittoon. What happened is that Uncle David leaned out of bed to spit and his body slipped down and his head went into the coffee can! Uncle David obviously could not get head out of the can and was suffocating! He destroyed his entire room trying to free his head from the can and could not get his head out and suffocated to death! I have only read of another elderly woman this happened to! She too suffocated only in her case it was a small trash can she used. Her head entered the small trash can and she could not get out of it.

As a child I still remember that my own Grandfather also used a large coffee can for a spittoon Only he (thank God) never slipped into it.

Please advise your loved ones to use a large device as a spittoon if they use one at night.

Hydrogen Peroxide for Ear Wax

I have worked over the years with while trying to look up and stuff fell in my ears. I ended up in an ER once in so much pain. She removed some foreign object from my ear. The Doctor gave me a tip to take a shower sprayer and the hottest water I could take with my head tipped in a downward sideways position opposite the ear I was cleaning and spray it in there. I just had excess wax in my ear and gently with the other end of tweasers I could feel something hard in there.

I used Peroxide, then tried with a bobby pin, tweasers smooth end again, then more peroxide and then the bobby pin and got something very hard out of my ear I could feel in there. I took my time, was very gentle and very careful. Once it was moved about and the wax broken down it was the bobby pin that managed to coax it out.

I have NO doubt that I am better for it, and possibly safer than the shower method even that may have sent it into my inner ear. I might note that after I was done I put a dab of Coconut oil in as it is antimicrobial and will add some oil back to my ear as of course it felt sensitive a bit on my last dip in there to make sure the foreign object was out.

Vitamin K2 MK7 + Vitamin D3 + Zinc cures Asthma!

My son had 3 severe asthma crisis that led us to emergency, and many others that were administered at home through glucocorticoids, butheyko method and other things.

K2 MK7 suplementation started my son was in the middle of an crisis. The crisis was quickly reverted.

Now after 3 months of taking at least 400mcg K2 + 2000ui D3 + 50mg zinc 4 to 7 days a week, his is far away from an asthma crisis and his skin is slowly recovering to a completely healthy state.

It takes time until the calcium spread through the body to be catch by Vitamin k2. High doses of K2 have no toxicity recorded on rats, but it *must* come with higher doses of D3 and other related nutrients.Si

ACV worked temporarily for me as well but once I added 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon to the concoction, I no longer take the Prilosec nor the Omeprazole. It works!

I had the worst stomach ache. I felt like I was dying. I could barely walk to the bathroom without feeling like I would collapse. A friend just happened to call me on the phone and I told them of my ailment. They suggested to me to drink goldenseal tea. Well I drank it and the taste almost killed me but the most miraculous thing happened. My stomach stopped hurting IMMEDIATELY. I tell you, if you can get get passed the taste you will be cured. I think that it cured every bad organism in my body on that day.

Do you make this yourself or buy it? I have IBS-C. I litteraly cannot poop. I drink ACV 2ith lemon and honey every morning. Then I also drink Miralax. I am not on a good daily regimen of water intake but I am at a stand still with pooping. I was going good but now I am not. I have had 2 Colonoscopies and am only 46. Please someone help.

Recently moved to Bangkok and am looking for a place to get MSM for myself and my dog. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

MSM has cured trigger thumb, frozen shoulder and joint pain (losing weight also helped with joints), and I have used it for two elderly dogs. It extended their quality of life substantially. One of those dogs came with us to Thailand - at 16 years old! Still likes and is able to run!

Aah, dear Denise, it is overwhelming. I too, bought many supplements after non stop reading, after my husband's diabetes diagnosis.

I have shelves full of powders, pills, liquids, etc. Now I focus more on herbs and plants for their vitamins, minerals and medicine, adding in the others only when I need additional help, although I do take the vitamin c food caps and magnesium, I consider these the basics, along with the plant infusion. Oh and my homemade kefir for the probiotics.

You mentioned you walk daily, I enjoy foraging on my walks, you can research the plants around you that are higher in vitamin, mineral and enzyme content than anything you could buy even in the farmers market.

Stinging nettle, revered by Mtm, strengthens urinary tract and beneficial for those with allergies, wild lettuce, currently being studied for migraine, milk thistle, used for Liver support, mallow, one I always recommend, for soothing reflux, the cause, the entire gi tract, and urinary. (Particularly the root). Elderflower, used in cold and cough mixtures, you can make your own syrups/teas/tinctures. This activity is good for the mind, body and soul. Not to mention it's free, but so uplifting. Recently I identified poison hemlock after reading so much about it. Yes it's poison, but I was just so happy to have a positive identification of another plant, and found in the wild.

Kt is right about the D, I've written it often, it is toxic. The type the body makes from sunlight, and can use, is D3 cholecalciferol.

I so relate with my sister, and no, I don't want to have that happen to others trying to talk to me if I can avoid it. My tinnitus was so loud day before yesterday it did actually obstruct me from hearing a guy talking to me, then he began to speak up which did help. I'm going to try the turmeric when I am ready to take a chance on trying something again:)

Looking at the big picture here, and what I think is happening has to do with the enormous amount of bread I am consuming. I did not have these things between meals, or after meals (w/a huge piece of sourdough or any bread in large amount) and I may have it pin-pointed for at least one cause of this horrible feeling.

no more bread for a time and see how I feel. Anyone think I should do some sort of detox?? I'll google detox drinks and see, but like to get your feedback.

I used to eat, up until about well, 2 months ago, one slice of whole wheat bread with breakfast if I had eggs. If I did that, I would eat something else I didn't want bread with the rest of the day. This was mainly because I wasn't sure I might have a gluten intolerance. I had no issues like I'm having now with that little bit of bread.

If anyone has seen a loaf of Seattle Baking co. sourdough, its smaller cuts on the ends and big ones in the middle. I am figuring I am addicted because I go for the biggest ones first. Lord, I wonder if this could be what's going on. I'll find out by not eating it at all, and most important, not buying it. I won't eat what I don't buy and it's not in my home.

Anyway, I feel cruddy enough I'm going to lie back down. Just got up at 7:30 but most of this happened after breakfast, interesting hey. I really care so much for all of you here, so very grateful to have this place and the folks here, Denise

PS- I'm not setting aside any other info though, I am just thinking to start by trying this new possibility

I got off of cigarettes with the nicotene gum, now I'm still addicted to nicotene and still chew the gum. Will this work to get off of them? Or is there a better way to kick this habit?

One thing I need to open up about if I hope for anyone to really know me, and possibly help me, is this..I have been on 1 mg of Clonazapam since 1988 given to me for something called Spasmodic Torticolus. I got into the health thing enough 3 years ago to want to be done with that crud, so I got myself down to .5 mg only one a day. I have even only taken a .25 but can't seem to get completely off them.

People that take more things drug-wise are astounded I only take that much, and still never just got off them. I am addicted though because if I try a day without any, I feel sick. It is the only script I have though, and was hoping I could get off that as well. I am guilty of never mentioning it to anyone on here, but it's time to be 100% honest. Denise

Hello Kt and Wendy, (and anyone else wanting to chime in), so I don't get so scattered, I'll try and hit on the things you gals replied to me. What I'll do Wendy, is list a typical day of foods. And Kt, I think you are dead-on about the Theanine. I didn't do anything but Magnesium malate & 1 Mag citrate yesterday and have felt better. I still have all my issues, but at least I wasn't maybe taking something that made them worse.

I walked again yesterday and it felt good this time, not dragged down like the previous day. Just a 2 mile walk, and probably a bit slower speed. My muscles felt back to normal which is what told me something was wrong the previous day when I walked. I'm copying your post Kt because I think, just for one thing, certain nuts (and nut milks) give me hives. So I will do as you say on the searches for oxalates, and read about them. Thank you for the Turmeric thread location.

Wendy, I can't thank you enough for sharing as well. I think I eat pretty good, but the list will probably help folks get a better picture. I should tell you a list of things that I have going on, healthwise too.

So not to bombard you both, or anyone, with TMI, too much info, let me just make a couple of lists on what I am eating. No supps except a B Complex, maybe best not do the Mag for now either.

Typical foods: cage-free eggs, sour dough bread (Seattle Baking Co.) Eggs are whatever I can find that sound the healthiest. Water consumption is at about 3 of the 16 oz, from tap w/PUR filter. I am feeling light-headed right this minute typing. Lunch is either home-made soup with only 1/8 tsp of seasalt, or, I eat a lot of Albacore Tuna sandwiches. Lots of veggies, the best I can find, and I do fruit every day, usually papaya or kiwi. Sometimes Apples when I can find the Jazz which I like best. Dinners are usually a meat/fish and a vegetable only. I am, by the way, just starting to at least sip a bit of water with meals. A glass a bit earlier, and tea made of Ginger Root grated w/BSM. No snacks unless it's toast. The tea helps me curb the urge to eat between meals.

Extra supp type foods: Blackstrap Molasses (2 Tbsp a day) Nutritional Yeast on my eggs, no salt on those. Not doing anything but Ginger right now, but was doing Cayenne, Garlic and Turmeric. Was taking Magnesium, B Complex, A, C, D3, B12, Zinc.

To be honest, I am afraid to eat anything right now, or take any supps but the Magnesium seems ok, and the B complex. It's so hard to know, and hard not to worry a bit. Issues below:

Enlarged spleen (no pain, just discomfort)

Essential Tremors mostly head and left hand

Tinnitus and something I have eaten or taken makes it very loud to where I can't stand silence at all.

3rd Degree AV Node block have pacemakers since 1997

Depression and may be a bit bipolar

Acid Reflux/silent reflux a lot better due to times of eating, and what I eat/don't eat

esophogeal spasms almost completely gone haven't had one in a month or so
