Histamine itself is worth a separate topic. The intolerance of this amino acid can have very wide health repercussions and, as far as I am concerned, concerns a lot of people. Because of this I am already after 3 anaphylactic shocks. I can eat less and less.

Thanks all for your replies. I was diagnosed with COPD about 3 yrs ago. I quit smoking then and have avoided any type of chemical or being around anyone smoking ever since. I haven't been sick at all in those 3 yrs, either. The only problem I had was coughing and after I stopped smoking, so did the coughing. The Dr didn't run any tests, she only mentioned I had that, I suppose for one of her money making schemes to keep me coming back. Anywho, it was one day out of the clear blue sky, I got to the top of the stairs and I thought I was suffocating, never had that happen before. It's been that way since. It started getting worse and I started H202. In the last week or so, I have been extremely sick at my stomach and ACV was one of my guesses. I didn't drink it one day and the pain came back full blast. I got back on it, but only 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar and 1/4 tsp bs 3xday. Last night I think the H202 got a little deeper. About 30 minutes later, I coughed up some phlegm, (white and yellow) I felt and slept better, but this morning back to like before. Now, if I take a deep breath through my mouth, it's painful to my throat and makes me have a dry cough. It's like you feel when you go out and smoke 2 packs of cigs in about 4 hours lol.

I had to move from one house because of mold several years ago, arthritis got better for a while but in the last year it's made me almost immobile. Dr won't do anything, says take tylenol, blah blah blah. I have a neighbor to check around for any mold. After Janet mentioned that, I remembered what I had learned before and that's what I'll look into first. Thanks again. I'm still open for more advice and/or opinions.

I had the same itching a few years ago. Not intra-vaginal (inside the vagina), but perianal (between the vaginal opening & the anal opening). Horrible itching. Gynecologist didn't have a clue. Only thing that finally stopped it was regularly drinking water with organic ACV and Baking Soda, AND removing all sugar & bad carbs from my diet, and no more itching.

Ginger Tea for Mucus Condition

I give Ginger root grated, the real deal, a 5 star because it has almost cured my mucous in throat which I believe is from Silent Reflux. I grate 1/5 tsps of ginger I keep in the freezer and add boiling water, and blackstrap molasses (my choice of sweetner). Both ginger and Blackstrap Molasses have so many benefits for me.

I had severe itching down there until 5 days ago. I got viral gastroenteritis and could not really eat anything for 3 days. I still can't eat much yet but...the itching went away. I believe there is a histamine reaction happening, which, after going through menopause, we are more sensitive to. Google low histamine foods and also alkaline diet. I didn't want to be that sick but the itching went away with no food. I am going to be eating low histamine and alkalizing foods and no wheat or dairy from here on out. I hope this helps someone with their severe itching. It's enough to drive you mad!

Multiple Remedies Not Helping Eczema

I'm a 55 year old caucasian female that has been struggling for the past year with severe skin issues, which I believe is a type of eczema. It started on the legs, back, and arms. I believed that I had become sensitive to shea butter, which at the time was the only product I used to moisturize with. I ceased using shea, and at that point, the eczema condition disappeared in those areas. Almost immediately, I began to have severe issues on my neck, face, and in the scalp near the temple area. This eczema acted differently. My face felt and looked burnt, and was weeping severely.

At this point, I began to use filtered water with baking soda to moisturize, then sealed the skin with an herbal cortisone salve, and applied an organic herbal moisturizer cream. The skin responded by healing itself of the burnt feeling/look. However, the main symptom of peeling has not gone away. The skin in those areas is similar to onion skin, and peels off. Sometimes, it extremely hard to remove, especially around the temple areas. It requires many hours of exfoliation every day, morning and night. If I leave it, it continues to build up, making the skin on my face, tighter and tighter.

I am taking ACV and a variety of supplements including zinc, vitamin b complex, magnesium, vitamin d, vitamin e, fish oil, etc. I have no other symptoms, although I do have other health issues, including Chronic Venous Insufficiency. Does anyone have advice for me?

I am thinking you have mold. Mold illness.

Arthritis and breathing issues, worsening of symptoms. I would consider that mold at least contributes to the issues.

The easiest way to check is Petrie dishes. They are opened near, pipes drains or windows. Then allowed to grow. You can have them analyzed or check online there are pictures to compare the results to. Or you can have a mold test done professionally with a meter. This takes some research. You want experienced and a reputable company.

In the short term. You might experiment with Ted's mold remedy from page 6 under mold heading. It is my go to page for any mold issues.

I use h2o2 remedy for virus or colds it works. For mold issues it is limited.

Teds borax remedies are helpful to make the borax saturated solution. Bath soaks.

Things that help with stairs. Teds ammonia spray.

Co q10

Topical magnesium oil on chest and back

A eucalyptus rub. 2 drops of essential oil in a small container of lotion. Mixed well. Applied to chest.

Deirdre's video for colloidal silver in cold mist vaporizer.

1000 mg of beta glucan reduced in water, 3x a day

3 or 7 mushroom blend.

Minerals deplete, or seem to when you encounter mold. It is nearly instantly. The worst, selenium yeast (selenium), sodium molybdate (molybdenum). once those two are low then recovery becomes 2x as hard.

These are my observations, with using Ted's remedies as a solve. I think many of us are diagnosed without any thought to cause.

Carolyn, my DH has copd & has been on oxygen for some time now. When he inhales the H2O2 from the mist bottle it makes his shortness of breath worse. He takes blackstrap molasses daily along with vit D3 & C and also uses NAC. He always feels better after taking these (we get powders that he can put in water or juice, so easy to take). This is a progressive disease, but careful management can help you live longer and avoid complications.

Do what you must to manage this. Have you looked into pulmonary rehab? It's covered by most insurance and they teach you various exercises to keep you strong, ways to perform various activities to minimize shortness of breath, a lot about various medications and strategies for taking them, when to call the dr and when to deal with it yourself.

A good support system is really important. Try to have someone with you for all appointments, it takes 2 sets of ears to hear and remember. Good Luck.

CAROYLN, first...... chill out, and take a deep breath. I cannot help you, but there are good folks on EC that can. You have not totally explained your situation. Who told you that you have COPD? Explain your problem in detail and folks from every county in the world will come to your aid. Someone has had your problem and got well. They just need to know the details. How old are you? Did you smoke, etc.

Hey, no one has a magic bullet. A solution is probably time consuming and a pain in the ___. Start over from the beginning. Someone will get you started to good health.

If countries worked together like folks on EC do, then conflicts would be in our back mirror.

You from Mo and we used to go to the Roaring River State Park and eat locally caught fresh trout at a cafe there. My mouth is watering just thinking about that.

Like I said, explain your problem in detail and EC folks will help you.

Had a boil that wouldn't go away (in the groin area, no less) and, having read about remedies on here, just smeared some turmeric and coconut together on a bandaid. Changed it out a few days later, and it is almost completely healed. Amazing!!!!

I hope someone sees this as it's quite a few years old. I am not sure Bill is still here on EC, but I am hoping so.

I'm really concerned about this business of drinking water with my meals. I have not done that for some years now because I had heard it got in the way of digesting food properly. Now I ran across Bill's post and want to get all the input I can.

Hoping to hear from anyone who drinks liquids/water with their meals, Denise

Deirdre, et. al.,

Thank you SO MUCH for the awesome work you all at EC are doing on the site! I have a question: Will there eventually be an expanded search feature, e.g., to allow one to search for their own posts (maybe search by that person's EC UserName)? I can't remember if your original notification re the upgrade included all the benefits of the upgraded site. Would you, or someone at EC, be able to list the benefits of the upgrade?

Many thanks again!

I get that brand of seasalt too Kt, just lucky I guess, that it's carried here in our HFStore. I can't get the better BSM yet, but it will be the Plantation organic in a glass bottle. That's what I can afford. I am fortunate that I don't have anyone to feed except myself. I struggle a little to get the good stuff, so I can't imagine feeding more than one mouth. So wrong people can't get the best foods, like our Salmon, which I love, from Alaska.

I do feel better off the 5htp. It was giving me headaches, and some strange pains I had once in awhile may have been that too. I'm just on my Magnesium, Magtein, BComplex, A, D3, L-theanine, zinc. Also, I have tried GABA the last 2 days, and don't feel much different except it may have something to do with my tinnitus being less. And interesting you mentioned taking only 2 Ts of Blackstrap Molasses because that's what I take. I use it in my 2 cups (actually its a cup a bit larger than a measured 8 oz) Ginger Root Tea.

I did my cayenne and ginger this a.m. too and feel it might be giving me a bit of a boost. Not hurting me that's for sure. I've sure increased my vegies and fruits which is an almost total change in my life. Right now I can get Papaya (large type) and Kiwis so I eat them after breakfast each day, and get more if I can when I run out. I really have learned to budget/save and am so much happier too, since I am eating better balanced meals.

I'm so sorry to hear you have so very much to deal with. You are a very strong lady with all your health issues, and caring for your husband too.

I do read every day, all I can learn about nutrition/possible deficiencies I am not taking care of yet. I think I say this a lot, but it is a journey that will keep my busy the rest of my life I'm sure.

Jsmom, to get rid of a chronic cough, try mullein tincture in a little water. Use this two to three times per day. Also, try Rumex Crispus homeopathic pellets at night before bed, 15 minutes away from food or toothpaste. Good luck!
