To lessen and remove most, if not all, inflammation, including osteoarthritic symptoms AND gout, I've been been drinking 2-3 times per week the coconut milk/turmeric/cayenne pepper remedy. It really does work!! I found the recipe here on EC (just search for it). Here is how I make it:

1 can coconut milk - I believe the whole-fat is preferred but it's 400 cals/can! So I've opted for the low-fat. I pour the whole can (14 oz) into my blender, add 2 teaspoons turmeric (get it in bulk cheap at the Indian store), add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (also in bulk at the Indian store), and about 1/4 cup of organic apple juice to sweeten the recipe and lessen the intensity of the cayenne! Sometimes I add a small banana and some protein powder.

What I've read is the cayenne increases the benefits of the turmeric by 400%.

Well, I'm amazed that after 1-2 weeks of drinking this 2-3 times per week, the osteoarthritic symptoms are all but gone! And, knock on wood, I haven't had ANY gout attacks in awhile. Note also that I try to avoid any/all sugar, as well as avoiding the "white" foods (flour, rice, etc. ), and avoid processed foods.
