Ok, I have been reading about HBP, which I have and decided to go get some ACV. I went to the grocery store. I mixed 2tbls. with water and drank about half. It hurt my stomach at first. I think I needed more water. After about 30 minutes I noticed that my anxiety was gone. For the last week I have been panicking about my HBP, Just found out last week. I went to the emergency room 2 nights ago for it. And they told me it could be anxiety. This stuff stopped it. I didn't know that it could do that. I did a search on it and sure enough, it can end anxiety. Praise God. Now I waiting for my blood pressure to go down. I am already impressed. I feel happy. I never feel happy. I have been depressed for along time.

I started taking ACV to lower my blood pressure. Not only did it lower my pressure (My doctor was shocked at how low it went) It also cured my anxiety and a wart on my hand that i had for over a year. I tried everythin except going to the doctor to have it froze off. ACV made me a New person. Everyone at work said that i have more patience and am more relaxed. It is the Greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. I put a teaspoon full in a glass of water.

I suffer from anxiety tied to my stressful job. I was looking for natural cures for anxiety on the web last weekend and found the cold shower cure on Earth Clinic. I started the next morning before work by ending a hot shower with a few minutes of cold water. I made sure the cold water hit my head and spine and armpits. I felt so much better. The next morning I decided to forgo the hot shower and took a 3 minute cold shower. Man that was brutal but it was incredible afterwards. I felt great all day. I plan to keep this remedy up because it is also helping my energy levels. My head also feels clearer. Cheap and easy to do.

Acetyl L-Carnitine

Having been suffering from bipolar, bulimia, anxiety disorder and depression for 5 years. Tried ACETYL L-CARNITINE. Have one thing to say, it's freaking amazing! I'm surprised you don't hear about it much. It helps my anxiety better than cold showers, antidepressants, and even Xanax! I'm so happy that that i found out about it. It's like the hell I've been living in for years is over. This supplement has the strength of a prescription drug. I advise everyone who has anxiety problem to give a try. Though I need like 50 mg a day instead of 5000 the way they recommend. 5000 is too much for me to tolerate. Find your dosage. And never give up. Try every supplement for depression and anxiety out there, one by one. Some will do nothing, some will make you feel worse, but there'll be one, two, or even more that will help you and make your life a beautiful and joyful thing to have. Good luck everyone.

Update - My usual store didn't have 5HTP 50mg in stock so I decided to try 5HTP100mg instead. What a mistake! After taking one 100mg tablet I became very anxious. I then put the balance of the tablets through a pill splitter so that they were just 50mg and the anxiety disappeared.

Now I am very careful to make sure I am buying only the 50mg strength. I even admonished the store a few times that the recommended dose was 50mg and that 100mg can actually increase anxiety and they have finally caught on.

5HTP doesn't mimic serotonin. it acts as a precursor for serotonin and melatonin which means it helps your body to naturally produce more of each. The end result is you feel better (serotonin) and sleep better (melatonin). The recommended dosage is 50mg. per day. Exceeding 50mg may cause anxiety so best to stick to 50mg.

Well, I found your site from a link on paxilprogress.org and I suggested this "crazy idea" to my husband who's been dealing with panic attacks and anxiety. He hopped in, screamed for a few minutes, and came out looking a lot better than he had in a long time. I figured I'd "take the plunge" as well, just to try it out. As a FORMER hot-shower addict, I have to say that cold showers are IT!! I feel amazing, my face isn't dry, my hair is silky, etc. Plus, my husband happened to jump back in and...well, let's just say that "taking a cold shower" has a whole new meaning for us!

B3

Vitamin B3 - 450mg twice a day.

After reading a report that cited over 30 studies showing success reducing anxiety with 1,000mg and up to 5,000mg of Vitamin B3 per day. I decided to take a more conservative approach. I took B3-450mg once in the morning upon waking and once at night before sleeping and my anxiety disappeared within 24 hr.

Regarding 5HTP, you can't blame the store for taking 100mg instead of 50mg. Common sense is if your taking 50mg and they are out, then buy 100mg and cut in half, sorry but that was your fault! One must learn to Google things they take and or change MG (milligrams) what foods don't mix with medications, usually Grapefruit and licorice.

B12

If you are having anxiety, get your Vitamin B12 level checked by your doctor.

I was having horrible anxiety and was seeing a therapist who kept trying to give me anti-anxiety medicine. When I had some blood work done it was discovered that I was very low on B12.

Apparently, B12 deficiency causes anxiety, depression and insomnia, in addition to numerous other dangerous health problems.

After I started loading doses of B12 shots, my anxiety DISAPPEARED COMPLETELY. Just like magic.

If you think your B12 level must be OK because you are taking an oral supplement you might be wrong. B12 is the only vitamin that requires a cofactor (intrinsic factor) in order for your body to be able to use it. There are many reasons why your body may not be able to absorb B12 properly, including use of PPIs. So, if you can't absorb B12 the normal way, get a B12 shot. You'll be so glad you did.

GABA

Anxiety attack--- a symptom of gaba deficency.

Have you ever wondered why some people always feel great while others always feel depressed or anxious? Scientific researchers have discovered that we are far more dependent on our gut flora that previously thought.

Gaba is an amino acid the body uses as a neurotransmitter to promote a calm sense of well being.gaba is the tranquility in the midst of life's storms. Gaba is what helps us relax and gaba also increases our tolerance to pain. In a deficency of gaba we feel anxiety, fearful, stressed out all the time and unable to relax. In a gaba deficency our pain levels rise.

So how do we make gaba in our bodies? The answer is we dont make it, it is made for us by a certain strain of gut bacteria called lactobacilli rhamnoses. In an absence of this intestinal bacteria our neurological health suffers. We develop anxiety attack and depression. sometimes people slip into such a state of depression they think suicidal thoughts as a result of a gaba deficency.dRug and alcohol cravings are often linked to a gaba deficency

So how do we overcome a gaba deficency? First we can take additional gaba as a supplement. It is available at any health food store for cheap.

Next we need to limit the amount of things harmful to our intestinal bacteria such as crops sprayed with roundup, antibiotics, too much colloidal silver, food preservatives like cancer causing bha and bht. Even coffee has a very negative impact on the intestinal microbiome. We then need to replenish benefical bacteria such as lactobacilli rhamnoses and others . Proper gut microflora is just now being recognized in psychology as having a direct cause-effect relationship on mental health.

I just want to say that cold showers are great for major depression and anxiety disorder, but they don't help much if you don't shower your head. First, I was doing cold showers but was avoiding showering my head. It helped but I still had a lot of anxiety and depression going on. Then, after trying to SHOWER NOT ONLY MY BODY BUT MY HEAD too with cold water (I was told it's good for hair loss), I felt like I was born again. Plus, my hair doesn't seem to fall out much any more.

Flax Seed Oil

I read a thread here a few weeks ago from Teena about flaxseed oil for anxiety. I bought cold-pressed, high lignin flax oil from the health food store to try it out. Very inexpensive compared to other omega oils, btw. I took a tablespoon and OMG, my anxiety disappeared within an hour. I can't believe it. I have a lot of stress and anxiety, which plagues me at night especially. I have tried other remedies for anxiety over the years including magnesium oil (helpful as well), but flax has been the VERY BEST of all I have tried. Oh I hope others will try it out. The only side effect is that it makes me need to use the bathroom more often than usual. So I take a break every few days. Going to try cutting back to a teaspoon and see if that is equally effective. Gratitude -- Thank you Teena for recommending this remedy!!!!

Holy Basil
Posted by Wydo (Ca) on 05/04/2016

I was looking at my post from years ago and I thought I would update it. I still take holy basil but I have discovered the root of the anxiety problem. Sometime after I made that post I decided to take Ted's advice and get a digital PH meter. I found that my urine was very low in PH so I started to take Ted's alkaline remedies and that just helped a little. I knew there was some kind of problem going on but I wasn't sure what it was until recently I got a prostrate biopsy followed by a real bad UTI. The doctor checked my urine and said it wasn't from an infection causing it. As more and more symptoms popped up it became apparent that this was a candida flair up.

I bought Bill Thompson's book on candida and started reading up on this. What happens when candida, has gone fungal in your system, is that the candida produces acids. These are acids that enter the system in addition to the acids that your body and produces acidosis in the body. The acids that candida produces will cause anxiety and an overly acid body will eventually will interrupt many process that go on in the body including the production of the elements we need to go to sleep.

I began Bill's anti-candida protocol and for the first time in many years I can sleep the night through. The anxiety that I was having during the flair up is gone as well. If you are having sleep problems and anxiety from nothing or exaggerated feelings of anxiety over small things there is a simple solution to this. If you are wondering if you have my problem then you can always start with the digital PH meter like I did but I think Bill's book is wonderful and is a must have. Not only did I get the paper version but I got the kindle version as well and I am thinking of getting another to give friends and family.

Another great book that I got to go along with this is PH-Balance for Life. It think that these 2 books could be helpful to you if you are reading these post. Thank you for reading my post.

EC: Wydo, thank you very much for giving us such a thorough update after 7 years.

Cold Showers

I woke up early this morning and went right into one of the worst panic attacks of my life. Nausea, dizziness, heart rate going at about twice what it normally does... I found this site after looking for quick ways to lower my hart rate because I was having trouble breathing. I decided to give the cold shower treatment a try and, while I regretted it for the first five minutes or so, I am now feeling totally back to normal. I'll be sure to use this method in the future as it works so much faster than any medication I have tried.

5-HTP

Serotonin is a vital neurotransmitter for all types of things... From mental to physical health. I had severe anxiety and tried different things from Velirium Root to different aroma therapies... The one thing that works amazingly was 5-HTP. It helps one get serotonin and serotonin helps with anxiety, depression, sleep problems (converts to melatonin), and muscle health (let's you get delta sleep so that your body can release growth hormone and repair muscle tissue). In the book "Pain Cure" there's a great recap of all the benefits of serotonin.

I HIGHLY recommend it for anxiety/depression. It helped change my life... Along with Yoga, MSM (joint pain), etc.

Thanks EC!

Oh God...this is the most greatest thing in the world. I embrace the Eastern philosophy of medicine which talks about natural and organic treatments to the ailments that we all suffer. Unlike Western medicine that gives you toxic pills to swallow only to treat the symptoms and not to cure you. I feel great. I've never been so happy and energetic in my life and I feel like I'm high all day long...of course with out the impairment of psychotropic drugs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...yeah, there is the hesitation associated with jumping into a swimming pool, but please, just "bite the bullet" and do it.....every day.

THANK YOU EARTHCLINIC.COM!
