Congestive Heart Failure Treatment

| Modified on Mar 07, 2024

What Is Congestive Heart Failure?

The most important muscle in the body, the heart is responsible for pumping blood around the body to all of the organs, muscles, and other parts of the body. As such, the heart is constantly active maintaining the proper functioning of the body. Several factors work against the heart, causing added stress to this major muscle. When those factors become too great complications may arise. Congestive heart failure occurs when the heart does not pump blood throughout the body as effectively as it should.

Heart failure may be chronic, long-term, or acute, a sudden attack. Either way, the basic symptoms of heart failure are the same. Symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling in the extremities, irregular heartbeat, reduced ability to exercise, persistent cough, white or pink tinged phlegm when coughing, increased urination, and swelling of the abdomen. Additionally, sudden weight gain from fluid retention, lack of appetite, nausea, difficulty concentrating, elevated pressure, and chest pain are all signs of heart failure.

Heart failure typically occurs after other conditions have damaged or weakened the heart. Factors that contribute to heart failure include coronary artery disease and heart attack, high blood pressure, faulty heart valves, damage to the heart muscle, congenital heart defects, abnormal heart rhythms, and other diseases.

Natural Congestive Heart Failure Treatment

While treatment of any heart condition requires extensive doctor supervision, many homeopathic treatments support heart health and treat the condition and symptoms associated with heart failure. Effective congestive heart failure treatment supplements include co-enzyme Q-10, iodine, thiamin, selenium, magnesium, and potassium. Lifestyle changes including eating a more balanced diet, exercising, and drinking more water are also helpful treatment supports. Losing weight also reduces the strain placed on the heart and may be advisable in some cases.

Co-Enzyme Q10

This link explains that CoQ10 can enhance the action of blood pressure medications, allowing the patient to reduce their dose.

I think that CHF can be accompanied by high/low cholesterol, high/low blood pressure.

In my case, everything was low. I found a supplement that really seems to work: cardiotrophin by standard process. I also used taurine, etc. Cardiotrophin was like a miracle. I took 5 a day. Hope this helps!

If you have high cholesterol and blood pressure, standard process has a different supplement for that.

I can second that. I started my dog, who was diagnosed with CHF, on Standard Process Cardio-Plus, which also has bovine cardiac pmg in it. I chose that over the CardioTrophin because it had so many other ingredients.

PMG is a special Standard Process ingredient (for different organs) in which the organ DNA is extracted from organs of cows and used to misdirect or distract the patient's immune cells from attacking the cells of their own diseased organ. The theory is that, in chronic organ failure, the body attacks the necrotic tissue of the failing organ, also harming the healthy tissue and causing the disease to progress, faster. The DNA of the type of organ in question in the digestive tract (having been taken as the pmg supplement) attracts the immune cells so that they miss the endogenous organ tissue.

Within a couple of days, I noticed Aphrodite's wet cough becoming less wet and less frequent (She had already been taking Lasix for 2 weeks before we started the Cardio-Plus, which also helps). Over the past few weeks, maybe month, her cough has become overall less frequent and much less wet, for the most part.

D-Ribose for heart disease/congestive heart failure:

Numerous scientific and clinical studies have shown that D-ribose can help to restore energy and function to the heart.

D-Ribose is especially helpful to those with Congestive heart failure (CHF) and Ischemic cardiovascular disease - a lack of blood flow and oxygen to the heart muscle.

D-ribose supplementation:

  • Helps the heart and muscles maximize energy recovery.
  • Shortens the time needed by heart and muscle tissue to replace energy that is lost through stress, exercise, and overwork.
  • Increases the rate of ATP and energy recovery.
  • Increases stamina and endurance, and reduces fatigue.

"Congestive heart failure is one of the most common reasons people 65 and older go into the hospital."

It can take years for heart failure to develop. So even if you don't yet have it but are at risk for it, adding D-ribose to your health regimen would be an excellent start to improve your health.

D-Ribose Dosage: 7 to 10 grams daily, split into 2 half doses, morning and evening. for most patients with heart disease or peripheral vascular disease, for patients recovering from heart surgery or heart attack, and for athletes who work out frequently in high-intensity activities.

A weak, tired heart unable to pump blood efficiently is sometimes caused as a side effect of taking cholesterol lowering statin drugs. Congestive heart failure usually does not set in until your body's stores of co enzyme q 10 are very low. Statin drugs block key enzymes in the liver where cholesterol is produced. In the process, they greatly diminish production of co enzyme q 10, the very key element needed by the heart, brain, immune system and all the organs and muscle cells in the body. If all the co q 10 were to be extracted from your body, you would not live more than a few seconds, it's that important.

Your brain requires high amounts like 50% of the co q , your heart requires 25% and everything else gets the remaining 25% of your bodies production. People who have chronic low energy levels always have low co enzyme q 10 levels and people who have high energy have high levels of co q 10.

The immune system operates on co q 10 as its energy source. A poorly functioning immune system occurs in people low on this essential enzyme. On the other hand, if you boost your co q 10 levels you boost your immune system function. This translates to better health as risk of heart attack and cancer risk is dramatically reduced by high co q 10 levels.

Now as good as co enzyme q 10 is, there is another much needed molecule that assists energy production at a cellular level. It is called pqq. Consider co q 10 and pqq to be like brother and sister. Co q increases the energy output of the mitochondria while pqq does a different job, it helps create more mitochondria with which to produce energy.

A very very common thing is energy robbing virus and mycoplasma affecting the cells depleting energy reserves by harming the mitochondria inside the cells .when you are infected with these several types of virus you feel run down all the time. You play an eternal catch up game by taking co enzyme q 10 alone always trying to increase energy output. Taking pqq with your co enzyme q 10 lets you get ahead of the game.

Alongside CoQ10, the nutrient Carnitine is very much needed for energy in the heart. Carnitine is commonly deficient in vegetarians. Red Meat is the highest source of Carnitine. I take 1 500mg supplement daily.

To maximize CoQ10 and therefore energy levels, also supplement Selenium and Broad spectrum Vit-E.

To help rebuild the heart tissue aka muscle, also supplement Raw Bovine Heart Substance.

I thought I should add a few things to my comment. Your heart is a muscle, and if you are deficient in protein, it's becomes weak. My EF was 21, and came back to normal. I found out there are 3 big deficiencies associated with CHF: carnitine, selenium and thiamine.

I'm sure the other things mentioned here are important too. I had to pressure my doctor to test my blood for these deficiencies. Most doctors do not test for these deficiencies because they feel that Americans have good nutrition (!!! ). The important thing is to keep looking, research and READ your own blood work. You'll be shocked at what you find out. I certainly was. It's easy to look up things you don't understand. I thought I was a very healthy eater......but really I needed more protein and carnitine (red meat) which I never ate. Good luck to everyone dealing with CHF. It is very scary, but your body is telling you something very big. In my case, it was one thing......but for you it might be different.

Bruce Wests protocol was helpful too.....the standard process natural diuretic part was great when I needed it. I really couldn't stand the LASIK, etc.

One website had this to say about CHF:

http://www.doctoryourself.com/congestive.html

(snip!)

"Thiamin
Some congestive heart failure is actually caused by thiamin (vitamin B-1) deficiency. 25 to 50 mg with each meal might be worth a therapeutic trial. I think a thiamin-containing 50 mg "balanced B-complex" tablet each meal would be even better.

Selenium
Selenium deficiency can cause a congestive heart disease called Keshan disease. 100 to 300 micrograms (mcg) of selenium daily would insure against this. In addition, selenium works to help your body recharge and efficiently reuse its vitamin E.

Magnesium
The role of magnesium in normal heart function is tremendous. Profound magnesium deficiency causes muscles to underfunction, malfunction or not function at all. Several hundred of your body's most important biochemical reactions depend on this mineral....

Potassium
Potassium deficiency is associated with congestive heart failure, and is connected with magnesium deficiency, mentioned above. Low potassium can cause erratic heartbeat (heart arrhythmia)...

Co-Enzyme Q10. This is very important.
One of the best things about Co-Enzyme Q 10 is that it is harmless, having no negative side effects or contraindications of any kind." Jullian Whitaker, M.D. (Health & Healing, December 1997. http://www.drwhitaker.com )

Amino Acids
As a rule, I am in favor of getting amino acids from protein foods in ones diet. With really sick people, a case can be made for amino acid supplementation. In Werbach's Textbook of Nutritional Medicine, the case is indeed well made."

(end snip!)

Also, I was just sitting here feeling like I had so much pressure in my chest and head, and mild chest discomfort. Unusual for me, until these past few months. Probably from drinking so much coffee/tea and not balancing it with calcium and decent leafy greens. I drank a glass of milk and some Epsom salt in water and it went away almost instantly. One lady I know who does not drink milk has CHF and severe swelling in her legs. The other lady has some swelling and a cough. The daughter of the first lady also does not drink milk and has CHF as well. I never noticed symptoms of it until I quit drinking milk because of the congestion it causes. If you're in a pinch, try a glass of milk. Probably whole milk.

* Quit caffeine/coffee/soda.
* Balance his PH.
* Put him on a high *fresh* fruit and vegetables diet. (Buy a juicer and make carrot/apple/celery juice, yum!)
* Minimize his processed/refined sugar and processed fat intake. If it needs additional sugar or salt you probably don't want to eat it anyway, it's dead. Try making a smoothie with organic bananas, raw unrefined organic coconut milk and organic non-irradiated cinnamon.
* Try vitamin C (sodium ascorbate or ascorbic acid) maybe up to 10,000mg/day, 1 every hour or so for a while. If you buy the powder at a health food store it won't have mystery ingredients, but you may miss out on bioflavinoids that help assimilate it.), B vitamins, vitamin E...
* Try scrambling a couple organic raw egg yolks in a glass, add a little pure/non-tap drinking water, and drink that each morning on an empty stomach for a while. Egg yolk is rich in essential oils and B vitamins.
* Have him take a 20 minute walk or swim every day or so.

Greetings, Dana, from Wales, UK.

My husband, Rob, who is 74yrs of age has congestive heart failure with an ejection fraction of just 15%. From initially barely being able to tie his own shoe laces he has increased his physical energy output to the point where some 15 months after his original diagnosis he is able to readily walk some three miles or so a day. Early on he eschewed the use of most of the prescribed drugs other than a very small dose of a beta-blocker (1.25mg)and 40 mg of the diuretic, Furosemide. His particular bete noire is statin therapy, although he happily admits that by so doing he might be ploughing a furrow to an early demise. He supplements daily with 200mg of CQ10 in it's more bio-available Ubiquinol form, 4 x 500mg of an Ayurvedic heart remedy, Arjuna (Terminalia Arjuna), 1 Taurine, 500mg, capsule, and 1 Magnesium Citrate 400mg tablet. In spite of a very lean frame he has always had an impressive appetite, eating at least three hearty meals each day with lots of fresh vegetables, meat and fish. Occasionally he will add to his vegetables some fermented soya beans, manufactured in Japan and called Natto. He doesn't subscribe to a low fat diet although he consumes no dairy products and avoids all oils other than Extra Virgin olive oil. He certainly wouldn't countenance the merest sliver of margarine even in it's supposedly heart-healthy form!

I relate the above, not as a recommendation or a path that others should follow, but merely to inform of the reaction of just one, possibly misguided, person amongst the countless tens of thousands of others when confronted with the consequences of CHF.

Best wishes to you and yours,

Pauline

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here, and my situation is going down fast. My latest injection fraction was 30-35, which is CHF. Switching to my integrative doctor to get better advice and direction. Oxygen is 95 until I bend over to tie my shoes or lay down to sleep and then it goes to below 92. Now use 3 or 4 pillows to keep my head and lungs raised while sleeping.

Used lots of complicated breathing techniques over the years, but found a simple one that is fail proof. Forget all the timing and holding of breathe..... I just quickly inhale through my nose and slowly release out my mouth. I keep a finger oximeter and watch the oxygen go up within minutes. Had my Tractor Driver do this and her start was 99 and then 100 within a few breathes. Naturally, that is the reason she drives my tractor. She is a tough hyde. Also reading that if I can massage my vagus nerve, it will help with my heart electrical problem. I have a CHF program on my PEMF device that I also use. It may just be time to go home, but ya'll would miss my stories.... so I'll drag this out .

Hi ORH –

Recently, Carolyn (another poster on Earth Clinic) mentioned the Sun Ancon chi machine for boosting circulation in response to someone who was suffering from pain and stiffness after sitting for a length of time.

Here is what Carolyn said:

Google "chi machine" or look up other devices that you put your feet on to increase the circulation in your legs. I personally LOVE my chi machine! Sun Ancon seems to be the best quality and most popular. It is expensive but will last a life time and worth every penny health wise. It can be used on the floor or on a firm mattress with a board under the machine so it doesn't over heat. It makes me feel amazing, gets rid of cellulite/toxins, increases immune system, circulation and oxygen throughout the entire body. I love the oxygen rush that goes through my body when it is done working its magic. I'm 68 years young.

Developed in Japan, the original Sun Ancon chi machine is an FDA Registered Class 1 Medical Device. It's a passive aerobic exerciser.

According to R. Neil Voss, a researcher:

The Chi Machine causes the body to shift from Sympathetic Nervous System to a Parasympathetic Nervous System.

When we accumulate too many stressors, the body may fail to terminate the physiological responses. This can lead to chronic stress (sympathetic activity burnout and adrenal fatigue). Medical conditions caused by too much Sympathetic stimulation of excessive stress are: anxiety, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, depression, congestive heart failure, sleep deprivation, severe chronic disease, panic disorder, and many more.

The heart can override and balance the brain through the Parasympathetic Nervous System. Evaluations shows that before and after getting on the Chi Machine show the stress levels are decreasing in the body, the body systems are relaxing, and the increasing ability to have deep sleep, and ease of sleep.

The Chi Machine scientifically activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System, which causes an Aerobic reaction, stimulating the same reactions in the body systems.

Anyway, it might be worth checking out.

Take care and hang in there ...

ORH,

I'm sorry to hear about your oxygen predicament. A while ago I also had problems with gunk in my lungs. I just followed Ted's advice of taking 1/2 tspn Sea Salt every day. Worked like a charm. No more gunk in my lungs. Nada. Taking sea salt reduces all mucus in the lungs, nose etc. And it gives your body many essential trace minerals as well. I'm also aware that many are afraid to take salt -- even the good sea salt -- because they insist that it's bad for the heart. You know where I stand there. I've been taking sea salt for over 10 years and my heart is always 70/110. So if you've got a healthy kidney and healthy intestines, sea salt should be OK as far as I'm concerned.

Some while ago I listened to a testimonial from Dr. Linus Pauling concerning just taking oral vitamin C and Lysine. A well known research scientist rang him up and asked Dr Pauling what he could do about the dangerous plaque build up in his arteries that was making him so breathless. The scientist also said that he had already had three heart bypass operations and so his options were rather limited. Pauling suggested that he just take 1 gram of vitamin C (as sodium ascorbate) together with 1 gram of Lysine (mixed together in a glass or half-glass of water) 6 times a day.

The scientist followed Pauling's suggestion and the change was quite remarkable -- after just a month on the oral dose he excitedly rang up Pauling again and said he was once again able to go for long walks and chop wood for hours without a problem. That Linus Pauling video testimonial is here:

https://youtu.be/PN8up1U6wNQ

To explain it simply, the vitamin C just removes the dangerous Lp(a) plaque arterial build up while the lysine prevents the Lp(a) forming on the artery walls. You have to take both vitamin C and lysine for rapid removal of arterial plaque.

You also mention that you have edema -- what are your edema symptoms? I ask because if you have edema in the heart then that means you might have congestive heart problems (swollen heart), which means that the heart pumps inefficiently leading to lack of oxygen in the blood. Certain things can cause heart edema -- such as low potassium or low Thiamine (see Dr Wallach's research) in the body. To confirm your problem perhaps it's best to get a hair analysis. Don't get a blood test, that just tells you what you ate that day. A hair analysis is more accurate over the long term.

Hearing a lot about Vit. C removal of the arterial plaque I should (finally) say that it is as helpful as a poultice to a dead body.

The first time I used it many years ago after my heart attack (LVEF-43%, and coronary artery in question 90% clogged), being enrolled in TACT study (which experimented intravenously with EDTA + large doses of Vit. C, and high doses orally of other vitamins and minerals, v. placebo.

After 5 years it was confirmed that I was on all active ingredients). Late into that study, I've got to ER for characteristic pain where an angiogram showed complete (100%) closure of (that) artery, which on the contrary, should be less than 90%.

About 8 years ago, I had severe pain in my right leg, which I took for muscle problems, did not go to a doctor, and treated it with all sorts of natural methods, and kept walking regardless of muscle pain.

Eventually, (over 2 years) pain subsided (and I even was able to start jogging). Then, all of a sudden, I got episode of severe pain in my left leg. This time I went to specialists and determined total occlusions in arteries in both legs. That was a second time of oral vit. C + lysine. (Of course, it lasted much more than a month, but it was useless). Should I add that at the same time I took other highly respectful remedies as well, like natto (serra) kinaze, etc. which similarly proved absolutely useless (but I still take them in hope that it won't be worse, and who knows...).

To make that short, the only thing that works - is atherectomy for plaque removal (which at best lasts for a year or two). With every next intervention that plague is getting harder and harder, so after an unsuccessful attempt in cath. lab they reschedule this procedure in a few weeks. (So much for the notion that plaque can simply be dissolved with C, EDTA, nattokinase, etc.).

Nonetheless, I witnessed benefits in my mother's condition with IV vit. C until her oncologist demanded to remove that treatment upon learning about it.

As to my heart, I can confirm that remedies mentioned in Tawanna's post really work, despite my ejection fraction fell - presently, only 25%. (all "miracle" drugs like Entresto I had to throw away, they literally killed me, let alone decreasing BP to dangerous range). It seems to me that single worst contributing thing in destruction of the heart (and its EF) is frequent episodes of arrhythmia.

Clinical studies show that 87 percent of patients with congestive heart failure and hypertensive cardiovascular disease improved after taking CoQ10 for six months, and for some, the gentle, natural boost to their energy-starved hearts brought dramatic improvement.

For congestive heart failure, start with 180 mg daily and increase to 360 mg over three weeks. Significant relief from symptoms may take a few weeks to months. If you are generally healthy and are interested in preventive health, take 30-60 mg daily.

Hawthorn Berry for Congestive Heart Failure

If your response to CoQ10 is insufficient, the next step is to add hawthorn berry (Crataegus spp.), a congestive heart failure treatment I've used extensively, particularly in patients sensitive to digoxin.

According to clinical research, hawthorn berry can increase the action of digoxin, making it possible to decrease the dose of digoxin, thereby avoiding or lessening digoxin-related side effects.

Hi ORH –

Sorry to hear about the fluid building up in your lungs. Has your doctor suggested thoracentesis to drain fluid from in and around the lungs? It's a relatively simple procedure but may have to be done repeatedly if the fluid keeps building up again.

However, it will give you time to check out other ideas from Earth Clinic folks.

The other thing I need to mention is N-acetyl cysteine (NAC). NAC is needed to make and replenish glutathione which is considered the body's most powerful antioxidant.

NAC is used for a variety of things but, lately, has been in the news (well, maybe not the mainstream news) regarding improving lung and respiratory tract conditions. Hospitalized Covid-19 patients given NAC had a much better outcome than those who didn't.

This is from Professor Roger Seheult, MD (MedCram – Medical Lectures Explained Clearly). All of MedCram's Covid-19 videos are free as a public service.

The last thing is making sure your Vitamin D level is optimal. Even though people think they have enough Vitamin D (through sunshine, food, supplements), it's always a good idea to test. According to Dr. Mercola, the correct test to order is 25(OH)D – also known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D – because it is the better marker of overall D status.

Optimal levels are 50 to 70 ng/ml but to treat cancer and heart disease, it should be 70-100 ng/ml.

Hope something works so you can keep us on the straight and narrow!

BILL,

ORH here, and not to blow smoke up your skirt, but I listen to your counsel more than any since Ted. I got a feeling you are right and after watching your video..... am convinced. I'll take anecdotal over double blind any day of the week. Since I take a water pill, I do take a potassium pill. My edema shows up in my lower legs and my two main doctors say I am in CHF. I have shifted to my integrative doctor for my heart advice . He is a Thoracic Surgeon, 74 and believes in both natural and Rx if needed. Am doing 2 EDTA Chelations per week and that procedure alone causes me to run out of oxygen. He thinks it is a blood volume problem because it goes away after a few hours. He says Chelation will build a stronger heart, but Vit C will increase blood oxygen. He says we will go with what helps and I will be the one to call that shot. He is right there because I only use doctors for counsel. I call all the shots. Bill, when you get bored, look into this KAATSU thing. It is about building muscle, but I am using it for my heart and now they are sorry they sold me the system. They do not want to get into the medical world. It is unreal how it straightens out my pore ole wore out heart, if only for a short while. I got a feeling it will do wonders over time. Wow, now that would shut down some hospitals.... huh?

CINDY,,,, ORH here, and I was a Tactical Officer in a Basic Officers Army Unit and I thought I was a bad ass and could hand out some trash. I could make them stutter, cry, shake, etc. But little darling you are toughern me. I am now drinking more water........ just don't hit me again. No, sweet thing, I needed that ass chewing and will heed your commands. As you know ...... I's searching. Lots of good people on EC and you can tell the ones that care. You care. ====ORH====

TESSA, ORH here, a couple of things...... our Anti-Aging doctor got us on massive doses of Vit D 3 many years ago and tests are 100 + or -. Both she and my integrative doctor do Glutathione added to IV's, especially for Alzheimers. At $100 a pop, I came up with compounding at 200 mg/ml Glutathione solution and using in a nebulizer. Anything that goes into your lungs goes into your blood stream. Cost about $ 150 for 3 months worth. I follow Dr Mercola, but had my doubts when he showed his garden. He is no Gardner. One thing that has surprised the KAATSU folks is how their blood restriction device effects my heart. When things really get out of control, I put on their leg straps and go through their lowest program 3X doing no exercise and my AFIB is gone, blood pressure below my norm and pulse acceptable. This device was developed to build muscle, not heal a failing heart. After my recent chewing on EC, I am drinking more water. All my life, I have studied to solve my health problems. This one is a bugger for me and appreciate you, Bill and others for their counsel. It is really spooky when you can't get oxygen into your lungs. I don't panic, but come close. Got to close with a story........ just put our '72 Terry Bass boat in the hospital. Bought new and cost was $2100 total, 48 years ago. Now, just the 50 hp motor costs $9800. Still have lots of my scout stuff from age 12. Left up to me, the economy would stay in the ditch because we thrifty. We supposed to spend, spend, spend. The Wall Street boys call it velocity. ====ORH====

Robert Henry, thank you for sharing your insights. Are you still doing the blood-flow restriction training (BFRT) using the KAATSU equipment, and, if so, could you please share an update about what you have experienced regarding it?

Sincerely,

J.

They can drain that off your lungs. Don't drink much liquids. Stay away from salt, my oxygen stays low. I hit 82 sometimes, I stay in the low 90s, you can breath in and hold as long as you can then blow out hard and fast as as you can.

You need to eat things with potassium, bananas. Dr's will make you worry about everything, I hope you get to feeling better! And God bless.

VIAD, ORH here, I's a Redneck and talk slow. You talking too fast for me. I have a heart problem, but it is not pluggage because EDTA Chelation solves that problem if you eat right. If you want a response then you must be specific. How many EDTA Chelations did you do? 30 is a minimum and once a month forever. Your post is gibberish. If you want help from these EC folks give them the details. You don't have to tell me about arrhythmia because that is also one of my problems. Let me suggest that you repost and in specific detail. Just state the facts. I can sense that you are in a panic mode. Slow down and you will get help from these good people. ====ORH====

Hello, ORH,

I simply described my (personal) experience with some remedies which may or may not work for other people. A person certainly must help his heart by any means, but he should also realize limitations of existing supplements - we are not yet at the point of magic bullet. I am not in panic (like my doctors observing walls movements or, rather non movements, of my heart on echo), but realistic of what kind of help is available today, so I better pay attention to more practical things, like walking, for instance, as any live being should move somehow. Some people in the same situation do pretty well with their will power management, breathing, which you mentioned, etc. You are asking how many EDTA Chelations I did? It was no less than 40, at least twice a week - pretty long study. After IV, I also tried oral EDTA capsules... but I am glad if EDTA works for you. Hawthorn and CoQ10 definitely helped me after MI. At that time nobody knew about ubiquinol but thanks god, I survived with regular ubiquinone. I tried many more but these two definitely helped. Wish you luck, ORH, be well.

ORH,

You are right, my post referring to heart, then to legs... may seem gibberish, but I mentioned that in course of EDTA trial my coronary (90%) artery got completely clogged (100%) while it supposed to be decreased. Since the arterial system may be clogged anywhere, whether in the heart, legs, or genitalia - EDTA, vit.C, etc. should take care of any plaque, (including in legs), but it did not. Hence, I cannot advise the above supplements to others (like people who never tried them).

HI U OLE PATOOTS,,,,,,,,,, went for fanny pellets and my Doc, said to forget that because I can see that you have bigger problems. You have to get rid of all that fluid and she changed my Rx. The diuretic she gave me was 40 X stronger than the one I was on. I now carry a pee jug full time and am slowly coming around. She was upset with the doctor looking after my heart situation and so am I. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Just pay on the way out. ====ORH====

Hi ORH -

Good to see that you are posting again!

It's too bad your doctors don't confer with each other before prescribing medications. Every health professional should be on the same page when it comes to the patient's well-being.

Oh well, it sounds like this doctor who changed your prescription knows what she is doing.

Slowly but surely is the way to go ... keep us in the loop.

Cheers,

Tessa

TINKERING WITH MY HEART MEDS

HI U OLD PATOOTS DOIN,,,,, ORH here, and I met my second scientist today and he was a cardio nurse practitioner. I met one some 20 years ago in chelation and he too said he was a scientist. Spent a year at Redstone Arsenal in the Perseshing Missle R&D. but no one referred to themselves as a scientist. It appears that most horn tooters go to cow colleges and need to toot their horn. The double blind test was invented to eliminate anyone but Big Pharma from succeeding. You think the Covid vaccine was double blind tested? Think again. My nurse guy was not interested in any heart supplement I was taking. A few I got from one of the top Cardiologist in the world. Both excellent in developing Nitric Oxide in your blood stream. Best sleep aid I've ever taken. What are all our medical folks gonna do when we start using tricks that the IT's have taught humans. Such things as curing cancer in two days and regrowing fingers and limbs. D has the perfect platform and receptive crowd to address. I can't even get folks to buy into ozone to avoid a new knee or hip and that is not space stuff. ATS ====ORH====

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here, and most have guessed that I may be feeling better as I am again full of piss and vinegar. I was in tough shape a while back. Could not breathe because my lungs were full of fluid. When you go into CHF, then you can't get rid of your lymph.

I have lost 28 # in two months by a few simple things. I have been on a water pill and blood thinner so that is not what happened. I bought a new mattress where I can sleep with my legs and head raised to get the benefit of gravity. I also vibrate my entire body every morning, following my lymph system flow. I weigh jay bird every morning and put that on my calendar. But that is not my message.

We have money, but money is not a deal with us. My truck is 21 years old and all our stuff has no new smell. We only spend money on our health and our survival. We tithe and think that is the reason we have money because we are doing what the Lord told us to do. I have our old diesel VW Jetta in storage because it get's 50 mpg and I have two years of fuel in storage. Gasoline will not store, diesel fuel will. I have worms so I am in the process of building a Solar system at our lake house and our farm to charge the new electric trucks coming. All know of our gardening and raising of chickens. Have rabbit pens if needed and know that trail. Can bait and reap fish and deer if necessary. In short, I was an Eagle Scout before the ner do well's took over. BE PREPARED was our motto. Worked then and works now. Out of spit and need to check on the chicks. Ya'll be good for a change.

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here and on a new Rx. It is a Diabetic Rx except it also does wonders for CHF. It is Jardiance. I just started it and must do my blood work. High glucose is bad, but low can kill you PDQ. Thus I have to drop off my old stuff with testing. The vandal sulfate I learned of on EC got my glucose right on the money. Diabetes is one thing, but CHF is another. We'll see. ====ORH====

NO HEART SPELLS IN 8 DAYS

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here and I am some better. Last Sunday I reaffirmed that Christ is my Savior and ask for prayer and the laying on of hands at our little country church. Sad, but most churches are only attended by old folks these days, unless they are into recreation and not religion. Think I have found a couple to reside at our farm in hopes of keeping that source of nutritious veggies coming. They are destitute and living in one room in a barracks and share bath and kitchen with six others. They need us and we need them. I have investigated his past and he spent time in prison in his youth. I have worked him for awhile and am going to take a chance on him. He is a big buy, but understands that at 5' 7", I AM THE MAN. In my youth the average height of a man was 5' 9" and I was so proud when I got there. Now age and a crushed T 12 has cost me 2". Stuff happens. Church friend with pancreatic cancer has not followed up with me after I reviewed 4 different ways she can address her problem. The Allopathics have already told her there is no treatment for her situation. She is now going to MD Anderson, where a number of our friends and relatives bit the dust. The Joe Tippens saga should cure anyone of that place. Cold, but got farm work to do and chickens to feed. ====ORH====

I DID NOT QUALIFY AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE HEART WATCHMAN

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here and the heart specialist told me today that I am better off using blood thinner to avoid a stroke than installing a filter in my heart to catch any clots that may form due to pooling of blood. This filter is called a Watchman. He knew my history, but he also had a questionnaire and came to this conclusion by my score. Just wish all medical folks were like these guys because they told me that my old Cardiologist was the best in these parts to keep me above ground... so they lost a patient. I am wild and strange as most know and got a theory that I can make my heart stronger by using a system called, Kaatsu, which a Japanese Doctor perfected to build muscle with a minimum of exercise. You restrict the blood flow in your legs and arms with a band and exercise. Called the folks that make the system and they went bonkers and told me to do very little exercise as the restriction alone will make your heart muscle work harder. Now wouldn't that be sumpin if this simple apparatus could reverse my CHF at age 85. I will discuss this with my old guy. He already knows that I ain't RIGHT. You old timers heard that term in your youth when someone was referred to...... " HE AIN'T RIGHT". I have 3 heart doctors, one is a plumber, the other is an electrician and third just installs the Watchman filters. What happened to the family doctor that came to your house? ====ORH====

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here and just left my cardiologist's office and learned that I only need the Lord and ORH to handle my health problems. He had nothing to add to the conversation. He just told me where I was.

I have no clue what has changed but I was close to meeting the Lord about a year ago. I do so many things to solve a problem that I never know what did the trick. Some of it is Rx, some of it is getting control of my edema, some of it is getting Nitrous Oxide into my system, some of it is my KAATSU system, going back on testosterone, my PEMF device and taking dog dewormer which will take care of any parasites in my heart. Getting my gut biome back in sync. One of these or all, have given me back my life. No damn MD was involved. I use them for tests. I know that 7 is more than 4 so I just need to know the tests numbers and where it should be. You don't need 24 years of schooling to know that. An AI would do better, and that is the next move. These out of work doctors can come to my farm and share corp. They will live longer.

Taurine

Posted by Kathy (Dubois, Pa) on 09/08/2009

Another thing you might want to check out is the amino acid Taurine. I remember reading somewhere that CHF can be caused by a Taurine deficiency (sorry I cannot remember where I read it). Try putting "taurine congestive heart failure" into a search engine.

As a point of reference, I have had two very large male cats die of heart failure and I strongly suspect that there wasn't enough taurine in the cat food for cats of their size. As another point of reference, the best food source for Taurine is...heart muscle!

UBI, EDTA, Vitamin C

Posted by Orh (Ten Mile, Tn) on 10/13/2020

HI U OLE PATOOTS, ORH here, and time is neigh. Went to my Anti-aging doctor today and went over my blood work and talked about my ails. Told her that I think I am in congestive heart failure and she agreed. I think I know what to do to drag this thing out another 5 years. My goal has been 92 and 5 years will get me to 89.

Tomorrow we start our UBI [Ultraviolet blood irradiation] every month until spring.

We will also start weekly EDTA chelations and Vit C IV's. We will do those until spring and re-access. Found a retired veteran to help us at the farm so maybe we can keep that going. Life get interesting when you get frail and have little strength. You know what to do, you just can't do it. Hey, don't rule me out. My mind is still good and I can start some stuff, if D allows me to.
