Mad Cow Disease Remedies

| Modified on Mar 12, 2021

Treatment of mad cow disease is somewhat limited; however, some home remedies have been identified to slow the progression of the disease. Several supplements can be used to defer the effects of the disease and prevent further onset of the condition.

What is Mad Cow Disease?

A condition that began in bovine, mad cow disease has mutated and can now affect a human. The disease is considered rare and degenerative and typical affects the health of the brain. Generally characterized by rapidly progressing dementia, mad cow disease, also known as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or CJD, includes other symptoms such as poor muscle coordination, personality changes, impaired memory and judgment and limited vision.

Researcher suggests that the agent that causes the disease is an abnormal version or mutation of a protein normally found on cell surfaces. These abnormal proteins are called prions. The disease is spread by eating beef products contaminated with these prion or from cattle infected with the disease.

Home Remedies for Creutzfeld-Jakob Disease

While no cure for the disease has been identified as of yet, several home remedies and supplements show promising results. Taking DMSO as a supplement as well as apple cider vinegar and carpylic acid may prevent the onset of the disease and slow progression of symptoms. Effective treatment of beef, including treating beef with DMSO and avoiding mass-processed meats may also be helpful for avoiding the disease.

DMSO

Dimethyl sulfoxide is an organic compound that contains sulfur. Known for its tissue-healing property, DMSO is effective for bonding to the prions that cause mad cow disease and eliminating them. Additionally, the supplement speeds the healing of tissue further treating the conditions of the disease.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar may serve as an additional treatment option for CJD. A known detoxifying agent, apple cider vinegar bonds to toxins in the system and eliminates them.

Caprylic Acid

A fairly new treatment option, caprylic acid is the active ingredient in Axona, a medical food. The theory behind this treatment option lies in the body’s ability to break down caprylic acid into ketone bodies that likely serve as an alternative energy source for the brain. As such, brain processing continues even after the disease has caused deterioration of tissue.

While a very rare disease, mad cow is a relative concern in some parts of the world. Natural supplements can offer relief from the issue and may even reverse some of the damaging side effects.

How to avoid mad cow disease? Is it enough to just avoid eating red meat unless it's organic? Also I heard the prions can't be cleaned off of dental tools, is this really a concern and is there any way to go through life without needing dental cleanings? I was planning on getting my metal amalgams out so I'm worried. I have seen pics of some tribe men who had a good set of teeth. It was credited to not eating sweets and carbs. It's weird that it was in the news and then it diseappeared and now a little talk of it resurfacing. I really hope the Georgia Guidestones aren't really true that they want only 500 million to live to be in balance with earth.

Question for Ted-

I recently had a biofeedback scan done and it showed that I have been infected with the Mad Cow virus (seriously). I usually get scans done yearly and this is the first time this has shown up. I hardly NEVER eat red meat. I'm a turkey/chicken/fish and LOTS of green veggies person. I often feel symptoms associated with BSE (cloudiness of thoughts, forgetfulness and balance issues). I read the information you posted in 2009 regarding the use of DSMO and potassium thiocyanate and was wondering if you had any new information regarding the treatment or possible cure for this condition. Any additional information is greatly appreciated.

Nfrmera, Mad cow isn't the only illness with such symptoms - fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue are only diagnosed through symptoms - and, along with doctors, even biofeedback can be wrong. It might be a good idea to check again before trying treatment. Good luck.

Mae-

Thank you for your suggestion, I will have another scan done. As for fibro or fatigue, I am not symptomatic for them. I use frequency (Hulda Clark, Bob Beck) and control candida thru diet and supplements. I appreciate your reply and concern. Thankful for my Earthclinic family.

I was interested in the DSMO and Potassium Thiocyanate. How are they dosed is it done by weight?

General internal dose is 1 to 2 teaspoons a day for adults. I would dilute the DMSO 50/50 with water. Start with 1 teaspoon a day then work up to two. The best book on DMSO treatment is DMSO: Nature's Healer by Dr. Morton Walker.

Hi Ted did you hear about the sheep farmer back in the thirties who's whole flock went down with scrapies. He couldnt afford to loose them so he dosed them with Apple Cider Vinegar. They all quickly recovered. From the time of dosing he noticed the wool had a kink. But otherwise no more trouble.

Hi All. Just wanted to say hi and say that I was recently diagnosed with mad cow disease. YIKKES. Brain MRI scan showed 25% shrinkage, loss of balance, dry heaving, feeling out of it. Went to the ER, and wow. Now I have been a heavy drinker, but they said that wasn't the problem.
