Acidophilus dissolved in pure water (emptying two capsules of acidophilus in an ounce of water and mix thoroughly) introduce into the vagina with a syringe without needle, do it twice a day for three days. It is an excellent remedy for vaginal itching..for daily hygiene use water with a little vinegar, avoid using soaps. Thanks
Greetings, I have read all your postings under vaginal treatments for itching, inflammation and rawness. However none seem to fit my exact issue.
The skin that is raw and inflamed doesn't itch or have pain yet it gives off a foul odor of infectionous smell. When I look at the area which is the crease below my belly and the beginning of my vaginal area where hair is before you get to the uretha where urine comes out is the area that is infected.
maybe someone could address this area. I have considered ACV and Honey. Maybe you can help me I been dealing with this for about a month. Trying not to take pills. Thank you in advance for your assistance and help in this matter.

Better But With Side Effects
I have had very bad vaginal itching with no odor and no discharge for 3 days now. I got some yeast treatment to rule that out but it made no difference. This morning I thought I would go insane because the itching was so bad! I read on this site about Apple Cider Vinegar and how it can lower your ph levels. When I read that it occured to me that I probably have a super acidic level right now because I've been eating a LOT of Indian tomato soup for my cold and drinking orange juice. So, on an empty stomach this morning a drank 4 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with warm water and some cinnamon for taste. After 1 hour my itching has completley gone away! I'm just burning from all the clawing I had been doing but I'm soo excited to have relief and to know about ph levels affecting that area!
I have been tested and have a high vaginal ph level and signs of bacteria. I have no oder or discharge but feel irritation and symtons similiar to an UTI. This has been going on for 2 months. Went to another doctor and she prescibed boric acid inserted twice a week. I have read on this site people using it daily. Anyone heard a twice a week dosage?

MENOPAUSE ITCH RELIEF / VULVA ISSUES
I was having ELECTRICAL CURRENTS there that kept me from sleeping. Went on a vulva info website (http://www.mydr.com.au/womens-health/vulval-problems-a-self-help-guide) n learned it has to do w staying off my female parts as I work at a desk. So by adjusting my seated position n taking breakes those shocking currents disappeared right away!
Applying Vaseline for coating protection really helped as well! ACV stings too much n I believe I've tried just about everything out there!
NOW WHAT I FOUND FOR THE ITCH!
Out of PURE DESPERATION AFTER YEARS OF SUFFERING this week I took double daily dose of CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM/ZINC and it cut the itching completely, like I never ever had it n I've had it for many years now! Nothing has relieved it like this but next day I ate late n felt very acidic n the C/M/Z didn't help as much so am figuring it has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ACIDITY.
Itching as someone wrote is a form of PAIN, that was BRILLIANT n makes perfect sense! So I also took a pain reliever + 2 C/M/Z (3 being a daily dose according to bottle/Nature Made) - every 3 hours. Replaced one dose of Ibuprofen with an aspirin once a day. So this is what has alleviated the itch almost completely. Staying less acidic by not eating heavy at night plus the C/M/Z + pain reliever! Now I am finally able to get some much needed sleep n I haven't slept soundly in months!
Hope this helps someone!
I have had intense vaginal itching for the past week or so and not to mention some sleepless nights, its been driving me insane! I found three things that have really helped me:
Cold water treatment : I use a jug to pour cold water onto my vagina over the bath, gives quick reliefe and abled me to sleep!
Salt bath : Just fill normal bath and then add salt! Not to much but not to little, I would say around half a cup, sit in the bath and open the lips of your vagina and aloe the water to pass inside you- relax! This gives instant reliefe and compleatley reduced my itching by 90% for a full day!
Drink water : Simply drink lots of water, but not tons as your body won't be able to cope with it
I hope I helped! I'm still waiting for my itching to go and I cant wait until it does because its horrible!
Hi, I want to thank you all for your input. Was tremendously helpful for me. My itching with swelling of vulva was driving me insane and sleepless nights were unavoidable.
I had cured this problem before but this time, it came back so quickly. First of all, I was at a loss at the cause of it: bacterial, viral, fungal or yeast or parasites. I went to a gynecologist some 3 weeks ago to get tested. As usual she could only make out I had had an infection which was almost gone. Nothing detected.
I even took a round of anti-biotics as I felt so tortured and I didn't trust the test results of my doctor whom I don't trust very much. I wished I had read your page before that.
I am now pretty sure to know it's a fungal infection. I use to wear sanitary napkins all the time. No air is coming in. I live in the tropics. Now I will just wear cotton underwear. I tried different remedies which were offered here: Honey helped for a while, I drank ACV, 4 tablespoons with Cinnamon, was great for my digestion and will continue that.
I used Turmeric in the past, Neem Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, yogurt with some tea tree. It had all helped in the past, but not now. But what did help and what I didn't see anywhere here is this: Ice cold water on a wash cloth and to sleep with that!!!! Reliiiieeeef had come and sleep.
I am all for the cure of causes, but when one lives in the tropic like I do, sometimes a fungal infection or other topical infection occurs and the symptoms have to be dealt with. Especially if they drive you nuts.
So, I applied ice cold water treatment several times till the swelling got back. Finally, I just left the last application and went to sleep soundly in the same position all night. The swelling needs to be dealt with and only ice cold water achieved this: nothing else did. Now, I will go without my sanitary napkins so that air can get to that area. Will make sure to use some ACV also for keeping a good PH and honey to heal the irritation. But the most important relief came from the Ice Cold Water treatment.
I also took a sitzbath in iodine (iodine which is used on wounds, about 3 tablespoons on a gallon of water) with very warm water. Wonderful relief from that, too.
I could in no way have tried garlic on my very irritated area. I suggest one uses gentle remedies as to not irritate even further. I am all for garlic otherwise.
Over the past 6 years, I've had almost constant problems with vaginal redness/irritation/burning and herpes outbreaks. For the past few weeks I've used a combination of natural treatments and I finally feel normal. I've experimented over the years with remedies people have shared but nothing has worked this well for me, not even close. I also have been pretty good about not eating things with a lot of arginine (eating foods with a higher lysine ratio) and I think this helps too. SO... The remedy is a few dabs of tea tree oil applied directly to the area, a few sprays of colloidal silver, and I recently added St. John's Wort oil (supposed to be anti-viral) and Aloe Gel (soothing/cooling/repairing) to the mix. In the beginning, I repeated the process every few hours but now I do it once in the morning and once before bed and I still feel great. Now that it's working so well, I'm afraid to take out one of the remedies because I want this feeling to last forever! I hope this works for you because I know how frustrating it is when you think nothing is ever going to work.
I had severe itching down there until 5 days ago. I got viral gastroenteritis and could not really eat anything for 3 days. I still can't eat much yet but...the itching went away. I believe there is a histamine reaction happening, which, after going through menopause, we are more sensitive to. Google low histamine foods and also alkaline diet. I didn't want to be that sick but the itching went away with no food. I am going to be eating low histamine and alkalizing foods and no wheat or dairy from here on out. I hope this helps someone with their severe itching. It's enough to drive you mad!
Hey folks, I just wanted to put my sense in the mix.. I have experienced the same itching and tingling... Reading this makes me feel better that I am not alone.. But I have seen lots of results from douching once with baking soda.. About 2-3 tablesoops and then douching with peroxide.. I was scared to do the peroxide but I will try it again since soo many comment on it.. Also.. I tried to drink a little peroxide in water and then some baking soda water.. Not sure if this helped.. But mentally it made me feel cleaner.. I'm not a doctor... I also eat moslty natural and organic foods, including natural soda.. Thank you Virgils' root beer! I'm not fat or anything but having the itch made me really feel like trash... Thank you everyone.. I will comment if anything changes.. This is day one.. But the best day I've had in two years!
One clove, slightly crushed, burned at first and got rid of itch within an hour. Thank you
I found this remedy for the external itching of the vagina from a yeast infection on the internet somewhere. I didn't have any garlic cloves at the time. I can't lie to you. If your vagina is irritated from the itching, it will burn like hell to begin with. However, it only burned for a minute or less. I had run out of options when I tried this remedy and didn't have many ingredients at home. So I tried this and it did help alot. Afterwards, all of the discomfort and itching subsided very quickly. Mix garlic powder and warm water together to make a thick paste. Make sure that it isn't too soupy or too thick. Apply it to the affected external area of the vagina. I know it stinks and it may burn for a little bit, but it's better to have the garlic odor and a little bit of burning than to continuously itch, burn, be in pain and have inflammation. This remedy is well worth the effort if you need immediate relief. It sure helped me and I am thankful.

I suddenly had very bad itching and discomfort in the vaginal area. My GYN gave me Estriadol Suppositories.
I am 69 and way past Menopause. There was no discharge, and my GYN couldn't really get in due to dryness, but she said come back after daily doses for 3 months. They didn't help, and matters got worse.
So I turned to EC. Tried the Coconut Oil which gave immediate relief, but temporary.
This morning I tried the Honey and it seemed to make it worse, but I waited it out.. After about 15 minutes, I felt fine. Hope this lasts!!!
Thanks to all for your help.
I tried virgin coconut oil and got some relief at first. Then I tried honey. It worked much better and the itch is almost completely gone after 2 days of use. I applied it once a day in the morning after a shower. I also used a pantiliner to protect my underwear.

Recently I have had problems with vaginal itching. I have not been tested yet so I'm not sure exactly what it is but I was on Earth Clinic looking for something to relieve the itching until I get diagnosed. The itching was so bad two nights ago that I could not sleep and was desperate to find something that would take the itch away. That night I tried Lidocaine cream which kind of worked but only very short term and only lessened the itch some.
Then yesterday I tried unpasteurised honey. I use locally produced unpasteurized honey as a cure for my allergies to cats and is worked wonders so I though I would try it out on this. I know that honey has a strong antibacterial as well as healing qualities so it just made sense to try it. At first it stung because I am quite sore down there but it wasn't as bad as the Lidocaine cream and after about 5 or so min of discomfort it stopped stinging and the itch started going away!!! I applied honey to a tampon and inserted it. I also applied honey all over where ever it was itchy. I left the tampon in for several hours and then reapplied a generous amount of honey after removing the tampon and just before going to bed. I had no itching while I was trying to sleep last night and today is much improved!! I will reapply honey again today and probably continue in the hopes of killing or at the very least relieving the itching of whatever is going on down there. Hope this is helpful!
(If anyone is interested I eat a Tablespoon or two of this honey every day and it completely got rid of my allergies to cats. I live with 7 cats and used to take reactin every day to control my allergies but I found that I was getting headaches from it. After using the honey for about a week I didn't need the reactin anymore. It's amazing!! And my allergies are quite severe. I am the kind that my eyes run and swell up and I sneeze uncontrollably etc.)
