Another use of borax:

I have been sprinkling the borax powder on the blanket my dog sleeps on. The borax will kill the mites. I wash it once a week. I also use the borax, peroxide bath.

Borax Effect on Gray Water

I live in a modern apt. complex which collects used water in a grey water system on our gardens. They're particular about not using poisons. I get that. I used to use borax for dish cleaning chores but stopped when I moved in due to "rules". I researched online and it said not good for grey water. However, I will use occasionally in bath soak. Can my landlord detect borox in my water?

They will easily be able to tell someone is putting borax in their wash water, because the plants in the garden will die in short order. It does not take a lot of borax even to kill grass. a teaspoon spread over a square foot of grass will kill it. Then the landlord will have to painstakingly interview the tenants to see who is dumping unapproved detergents in the grey water.

Boron accumulation is toxic to most plants. Bonus for a weed killer though. Works better than any other non toxic weed killer.
