26 days agoGenerally, if it's bitter, it's medicine - not food. And in powder form, any amount of medicinal vegetation that will fill a capsule is WAY too much, leaving the body no choice but to treat it as a toxin.
Medicinal vegetation isn't like things like cayenne. Cayenne is food. A couple of capsules of cayenne may equal a half dozen peppers but cayenne peppers are food, which is a whole different classification of "herb".
A lot of the knowledge of healers is lost because it wasn't handed down by "teaching". It was handed down to those with a true interest in the subject through apprenticeship. Healers already had a vocation - and it wasn't "teaching".
Re: Fenben
26 days agoI too take Fenbendazole as a preventive measure. My husband and I take it 3 months on and 3 months off for 3 days on and 4 days off each week. We like the powder form. It's less expensive than the capsules and easy to mix with any food, preferably food that has some fat content as it is better absorbed that way. It doesn't dissolve in water but it is odorless and tasteless so I mix in with my morning yogurt. I buy mine from Fenben Lab out of Lithuania.

28 days agoRe: Art's Topical Melatonin Lotion
28 days agoHi Mary P,
So the one quarter teaspoon is all melatonin and it equals approximately 750 mg of melatonin. You have to consider that melatonin capsules contain a significant amount of fillers so it will take much more than a 1/4 teaspoon of these capsules to get to 750 mg of actual melatonin. It will take the amount of capsules that it takes to equal 750 mg of melatonin. So if you have 10 mg capsules, it will take approximately 75 of these 10 mg capsules to get to that 750 mg area and you can see that 75 capsules is going to be way more than a quarter teaspoon.
There will also be a problem with the solubility of the fillers which may not dissolve in gin and will make the lotion feel gritty. Another potential problem is that some of the fillers may dissolve in the gin, but that may preclude the melatonin from fully dissolving in the gin in which case you will essentially have a diluted mix which may not be effective at all.
I recommended melatonin powder because that is what my friends used and found effective. Since those first three friends reported their results, many other friends and acquaintances have also reported significant benefits from using that same mix.
I highly recommend following what they did in order to make an effective melatonin lotion.
A few friends have reported that mixing all three ingredients together at once by mistake, produced a lotion that gave little to no pain relief. You have to thoroughly dissolve the melatonin in the gin first and then add the lotion to that mix, otherwise the lotion will offer little to no benefit.

Re: Alpha-Gal Syndrome
29 days agoWhy not try Ivermectin. You know the horse paste that was demonized during 2020. Did you ever hear of Dirt road discussions on Telegram. There is a whole protocol for it, for the paste and liquid version, he has everything you need to know about it. Lymes disease, this has helped a lot of people. I don't know if it helps with alpha gal though, joint pain absolutely!

29 days agoI agree with Prioris' thoughtful supporting response. Particularly key, which can also be a dead-end or redirect you... Google's search engine. Prioris said, "Please be aware that when you are googling a search, google will limit what it finds by what it knows about you. It essentially compartmentalizes peoples thinking." Correct. Google and others are herding people-think through manipulated access to information, funneling them into a pen of mis and dis information. This is open knowledge. It cannot be overemphasized how important this is to freely accessing alternate information or views. Try Mojeek and Yandex search engines when seeking the uncensored. Search engines today are far from the SE's of the 90's. Whether you are using Google, Bing, DuckDuck, Yandex or Mojeek, these decisions will affect the search results you get for your queries, as well as the options you have when using them.

1 month agoDear mommyto9,
I am a fellow middle Tennessean, also with nine children, my last one born almost 13 years ago. I do not have T2D, but also deal with stubborn abdominal fat. I have lost weight everywhere else. I do not eat low carb or high protein. I eat mostly complex carbs, proteins, and good fats. I do think the diabetes thing has a genetic connection. My doctor recently tested my A1C (which turned out to be in the normal range) because I had a slightly elevated testosterone level. (I did a saliva hormone test.) It was also found that the difference between my estrogen and progesterone levels was greater than ideal. (I'm 57, post-menopause.) She thinks hormone imbalance may be related to the difficulty with the abdominal fat.
I have also had gallbladder issues, though I still have mine.
I wonder if castor oil packs would help you with the potential pancreas issue? Also, obviously you cannot do a gallbladder flush, but I know ladies who do coffee enemas to help with liver issues and stones. I don't know if that is something you can do if you do not have a gallbladder.
Yes, the loss of Shonda Parker was sad and significant.

Food With Melatonin
1 month agoPreviously I said that melatonin derived from foods was very likely of insignificant health value because compared to studies using supplemented melatonin in milligrams, the amount of melatonin gotten from foods is measured in nanograms. To give that some perspective, it takes one million nanograms to equal just one milligram.
That would suggest that orally received melatonin from foods in just hundreds of nanograms would not likely offer any health benefit at all, but this new study (April 2024) shows that elderly people consuming foods with melatonin available in just ng levels found significant benefits from eating such foods.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38613097/
Here is a relevant study quote :
' Multiple regression analysis showed that older adults with higher FMT consumption are more satisfied with life (FMTdinner: β = 0.107; ∆R2 = 0.011; p = 0.020), have a lower level of depression (FMTday: β = -0.124; ∆R2 = 0.015; p = 0.003), and higher scores in positive affect (FMTday: β = 0.169; ∆R2 = 0.016; p = 0.007; FMTdinner: β = 0.136; ∆R2 = 0.019; p = 0.003). Logistic regression analysis showed that older adults with higher FMT consumption are less likely to have depression (FMTday: OR, 0.614; 95% CI, 0.436-0.864; p = 0.005; FMTdinner: OR, 0.671; 95% CI, 0.476-0.945; p = 0.023), and they perform better on logical thinking tests (FMTday: OR, 2.066; 95% CI, 1.131-2.204; p = 0.013; FMTdinner: OR, 1.887; 95% CI, 1.183-2.138; p = 0.033). A greater life satisfaction as well as a decrease in the cognitive impairment and psychoemotional state of older adults is associated with a higher consumption of melatonin-containing foods. '
The above proves that I was wrong on this aspect of food-derived melatonin, and this is the first study I have seen showing that food-derived melatonin is definitely healthful for humans. I apologize to the Earth Clinic community for my misunderstanding of the value of melatonin derived from food. This study clearly illustrates that melatonin derived from food containing nanogram levels of melatonin is not only active, but it also has a very positive effect on our mental state without the side effects that some people report from the use of oral melatonin supplements. I stand corrected.
Here is a list of foods that have higher levels of melatonin in them :
1. Oily Fish such as salmon and sardines
2. Pistachios
3. Oranges and Orange Juice
4. Pineapple and Pineapple Juice
5. Tart Cherries
6. Walnuts
7. Goji Berries
8. Mushrooms
9. Corn
10. Grapes
11. Tomatoes
12. Strawberries
13. Cauliflower
14. Walnuts
15. Almonds
16. Bananas
17. Broccoli
18. Sweet Potatoes
19. Barley
20. Oats
21. Ginger
22. Cabbage
23. Blackberries
24. Rice
25. Sunflower Seeds
There are more than these, but the above are 25 common ones.
