EDTA Chelation Therapy: an Effective Alternative Remedy

| Modified on Aug 15, 2023

EDTA Chelation Therapy is new to many of us, but it has been studied and used successfully for many years.  EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) – say that fast 10 times! – is administered intravenously (IV) to remove toxic heavy metals and excess minerals that damage the body.  EDTA is able to bind heavy metals and other toxins because of its claw-like molecular structure.

What is Chelation Therapy?

Chelation refers to the use of a chemical substance which binds the ‘bad' TM molecules to itself, allowing them to be removed from the body.  During World War II, scientists were searching for an antidote to poison gas.  Earlier treatments were able to remove the poison gas, but those treatments were toxic.  EDTA, however, proved to be a highly effective treatment for heavy metal toxicity (such as lead poisoning) and for excess minerals (such as calcium), with no side effects.  EDTA Chelation allowed the heavy metals or minerals to be removed before they could further damage the body.  During the 1940s, the Navy used Chelation Therapy to treat servicemen for lead poisoning.

What Ailments are Treated by EDTA Chelation Therapy?

Chelation Therapy is approved by the FDA for lead and heavy metal poisoning.  This is also a recognized emergency treatment for removing excess calcium (hypercalcemia) which is linked to a number of serious and even life-threatening conditions.  EDTA Chelation Therapy is also used to treat ventricular arrhythmias in certain circumstances.

In 2013, the NIH published the results of The NIH Trial of EDTA Chelation Therapy for Coronary Heart Disease.  They reported that there was some reduction in the risks of heart attack or stroke.  The reduction in risk ranged from 18% overall to as much as 39% for diabetics and 37% for those who had previously had a certain type of heart attack (anterior myocardial infarction).  They concluded that, “Since this is the first clinical trial to show a benefit, these results are not, by themselves, sufficient to support the routine use of chelation as post-heart attack therapy.”

Dr. Norman Clarke, Sr., one of the pioneers in treating chronic cardiovascular disease with EDTA, testified in 1976 before the California Medical Association's Advisory Board on Internal Medicine that he had personally “given at least 100,000 to 120,000 infusions of EDTA and seen nobody harmed”.  He recommended EDTA Chelation as a successful treatment for chronic cardiovascular disease as well as for gangrene and cerebrovascular senility.  He also believed EDTA Chelation Therapy to be the best treatment possible for occlusive vascular disease.

EDTA Chelation is used as an alternative medical remedy to improve circulation and remove plaques and calcium deposits from arteries.  There have been some unexpected benefits:

  • It has been reported that this therapy has reduced the amount of insulin needed by some diabetic patients.
  • Some New York studies on hyperactive children reported that they benefited from the removal of lead accumulations, observed in many hyperactive children.
  • There are well-documented studies which report that chelation therapy seems to offer a degree of protection against cancer.  Some feel that this therapy may also be useful to treat some types of cancer.

How is EDTA Chelation Therapy Administered?

Tests (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc.) are first done to ensure that the treatment can be given safely.  A needle is put into the patient's arm and connected to an IV drip which contains EDTA.  A session normally lasts for 3 hours and is scheduled for 1 to 3 times a week.  Usually, 20-30 sessions are necessary.

EDTA Chelation Therapy has a long safety record.  However, anyone contemplating this therapy should discuss it with an experienced practitioner to ensure that it is suitable for their particular condition.  If you have experience with EDTA Chelation Therapy, please let us know your results.

EDTA Chelation

Posted by Robert Henry (Ten Mile, Tn. ) on 09/18/2014

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , while doing my Alpha Lopic Acid IV yesterday , we had a great group in the room. I want you to get to know one fellow. I met him some years ago but have not seen him in three years. He owned 3 companies in China and has done well. His favorite food is Ball Park wieners and still is. He has not had EDTA Chelation in 3 years and is now 98 % plugged in 3 arteries. He tried a crash chelation program and it reduced his pluggage to 92 % but that was not fast enough for him.

He was there to get a H2O2 IV before his by pass operation which was this morning. Our doctor had prayer for him with the group. I think he will need it.

What our Chelation Doctor has told all is that you if you keep eating garbage , nothing will change and I know several in the group that have experienced this. Our body is like a computer........ Garbage in then garbage out.

I don't have good vibs for this fellow, but thought you might like an insight of what goes on behind closed doors.

This same fellow told us of a brain fungus he picked up in China. Our doctor cured it with his homeopathic treatments. A top manager for Mary Kay picked up a parasite overseas and Mayo nor any of the Top Dogs could solve her problem. A doctor in Ga told her to go to this Athens, Tn doctor now. She only had weeks to live. That was 6 months ago. I saw her yesterday and she looked great.

Won't get into the problems we saw in Atlanta from folks who just took a prescription drug. It was horrible and you would not believe it.

Parasites are our downfall and few people understand that. Hulda Clark did.

Sorry if I misspoke and you thought that chelation has any affect on parasites. Our doctor gets the parasites frequency from your DNA and installs that frequency into homeopathic herbs and water. He is very successful with this technique.

It has the same a similar effect as the Royal Rife Frequency Generator.

As far as I know parasites and chelation are in two different worlds, unless heavy metals contribute to parasites and that is above my pay grade.

As I told you , I go back to Atlanta in a week to get an Ozone shot in my back. That result should be a biggie for this audience if it works. There are few posts concerning Integrative MD's. I think I'm about the only one who does. I am not ashamed to use these folks. I listen to folks smarten me and most of these are.

HI U OLE PATOOTS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , just learned that a close relative's arteries are plugged up good. It's a no brainer if you have been down my trail. I wrote them and told then about EDTA Chelation. Do not expect to hear back because most folks think their allopathic doctor knows best.

Like the old saying goes, "YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM DRINK".

Did get an e-mail for an ole friend that has back problems and wants to know the Ozone folks I see in Atlanta. He's filthy rich and and has always listened to his allopathic doctors. So we're making progress.

HI U RON, , , , , , , , , , , me thinks you are a gamesman. If not then. post your name and phone # on a 3X5 at the Ten Mile Post Office, addressing it to ORH and leave your name and phone #. I will then contact you. Otherwise, don't try to sheet and old sheeter. You have to get up before daylight to get ahead of me.

If you are Ron the post master, then I apologize and will give you the information that you want. Just stick the 3X5 on the bulletin board.

Hi Robert Henry,

"unless heavy metals contribute to parasites"

I am to the understanding that pollutants (heavy metals being 1 type) and parasites go hand in hand when the body is diseased.

In the case of heavy metals, they congregate in the bodies organs over time, I think Dr Hulda Clark said that the parasites are extremely attracted to these metals in the body, upon a parasite finding the metal it causes the body to defend its self so will encase the metal and parasite into a growth (cyst) which is the bodies way to isolate the problem, I think that is all wot a cyst is.

So I dont think they are worlds apart, quote

"As far as I know parasites and chelation are in two different worlds, unless heavy metals contribute to parasites"

I have no idea to how bring these 2 worlds together though lol,

Cheers, Mark Speed

HI U MARK, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , I defer to your research because I did EDTA Chelation to avoid heart problems , except I did not count on Atrail Fibrillation.

My chelation doctor does do DNA tests that tell him if you have parasites or other problems not detectable by regular medical tests.

I have learned of some of some wild and strange stories that would astound you. I have told this story before, but it is worth repeating. My tractor dealer started on his December family and this youngster stayed in seizures and he took him to Vanderbilt and U T Medical and both said he had a brain problem which would require exploratory brain surgery and may leave him an invalid for life.

He had him DNA tested by my doctor and he found that he had a brain parasite. He treated him homeopathically and after a few months he was free of seizures. I saw my tractor guy a few months ago and asked about his son. He is a normal healthy kid and he praised God.

Mark, I have no clue about the tie between heavy metals and parasites. I am pretty smart as all know, but my claim to fame is telling stories and I hope you enjoyed this one because it's true.

HI U OLE PATOOTS DOIN, , , , , , , got a friend that is going to my doctor to see if EDTA chelation is the way to go for him. He is 67 and eats meat at least twice a day along with a side order of grease. Danny is wearing me out by wanting me to guarantee that this is the way he should go.

Today, I had finally had enough. I told him to go get his Carotid arteries checked and if they are close to 50% then he needs chelation. When the 30 chelation treatments are over, then have them checked again. He will then know if chelation works. If it cleans out your carotid arteries, then it has cleaned out the rest of your blood vessels.

I did this at age 70 and was over 50% plugged. When the 30 treatments were done, I was only 10% plugged. My tractor driver was 0 % plugged.

Good people, like I've told you before, there are other things you should consider instead of some magic foo, foo juice that is constantly posted.

Most insurance will cover the Carotid artery test.

EDTA CHELATION CAN SAVE YOUR LIMBS

TOLD YOU IN A POST THE RECENT STORY OF HOW A LADY IN OUR LITTLE COUNTRY CHURCH LOST HER LEFT ARM AND LEFT LEG. NOW THEY WILL BEGIN CUTTING OFF THE TOES OF HER RIGHT FOOT. I EXPLAINED HOW CHELATION WORKS TO HER AND HER HUSBAND, BUT THEY ARE BLINDLY FOLLOWING THEIR ALLOPATHIC DOCTORS RECOMMENDATIONS.

WHEN THIS WAS ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING I BEGAN TO CRY. WHY, DEAR LORD WHY? DID NOT INTEND THIS POST TO BE IN CAPS BUT THAT IS WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE. I AM CLOSE TO BEING IN A RAGE. I AM NOT A DOCTOR, BUT WHY IS IT THAT I KNOW MORE THAN THEY.

ONE GOOD THING HAS HAPPENED . WE ARE SO FINANCIALLY STRAPPED THAT WE CAN NO LONGER AFFORD OUR BREAD MINISTRY. THAT IS GOOD BECAUSE COMMERCIAL BREAD IS NOT FIT FOR DOGS. FOLKS WOULD BE BETTER OFF GOING HUNGRY THAN EAT THIS GARBAGE.

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN,,,,,,,,,, got to thinking about my attempts to help friends and kin with natural health suggestions. If you get a hit every third time you go to bat in baseball, then you are in the hall of fame. I have been at this for almost 15 years and I have only gotten two people to give it a try. One is my best friend and I spent 5 years trying to get him to get EDTA Chelation. After his second TIA when he fell off a ladder and looked like a Mack truck ran over him, he burned my phones lines down wanting me to help him get to my doctor immediately. My doctor would not take him unless he quit smoking. After 6 months of chelation he thinks our doctor hung the moon. He has not had another miney stroke and feels great.

The other friend is filthy rich with all joints aching. He went to all the high dollar doctors in the state with no help. He finally ask me which doctor he needed to see in Atlanta to get the Ozone shots that I had begged him to do for years. Now he is fit as a fiddle. That's two out of a hundred. Guess I won't make it into the hall of fame. The only people I'm now getting to listen are my doctors. I just took my Russian PhD book to my dermatologist, family MD and dentist and told them that we were out living all our dentists, MD's, barbers, etc. and I wanted them to read this book so we won't out live them. Probably wishful thinking.

If any of you regular folks figure this dilemma out, please let me know. I ain't doing worth a flip so far.

Robert, All I can say is > bless your heart! That you keep trying is a marvelous testament to you.

I too have had pretty much *zero* success in leading any to natural healing methods. I still try, but do not break my neck doing so. I don't have two initials behind my name so what do I know...

People have to be desperate before they'll even think about another way other than the med/pharm cartel, and even then, they mainly will not.

You know this old saying > I adopted it for my situation: you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him THINK.

I keep taking care of ME, with the thought that my (good) condition in itself will influence who it needs to influence. I learn new stuff almost daily (I'm hungry to learn) and my latest add is humic minerals. I think those bad boys are my 'missing link'. But I haven't told anyone yet! Haha

Cheers to you, Sir

Please keep up the good word! The truth is, you may never know all the good you have done. There is only one Hall of Fame that truly means anything, and I believe you are in it.

Many of us are grateful and have tried some of your cures, but did not say so, because sometimes we are thankful in our heart, speechless in our joy.

You may very well have your three hits every time you go to bat, because the people who took your advice are now spreading the good news too.

Dear ORH,

I think the few that have listened to you, you could say, have entered through the narrow gate..."For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matt. 7:13 & 14. I try to apply Biblical principles to everyday life. We have to accept those who choose not to and let the Lord work on them. You can lead a horse to water...

Many years ago I heard a preacher say there is only one interpretation for the Word of God but there can be many applications and I thought this was appropriate. I am sorry if it offended anyone.

To Earth Clinic and all...its a day about love. I am sending love to each of the contributors to my trek to life.

If it was not for this site and the people here I would be in a nursing home. Or possibly gone from this earth. Some days it was remedies other days it was the sense that I was not alone...the possibility the hope. I certainly was at rock bottom. I am healthy now and have a tool box of solutions to solve things when I am not.

Yet the greatest gift was the patience and kindness exibited here.

Mine and my families lives changed here. You all did not see it play out as I never wrote or responded here. Was I too sick? Was I too busy? I do not think so. I spent the years getting well waiting for the other shoe to drop. A lifetime of allopathic care and bad medicine trained me. The scenario always the same. dr visit, hope, specialist, hope, new script or therapy, hope, to be dashed after that brief honeymoon of symptoms being alieviated.

The other shoe never dropped. Sure, some things I tried were not ideal. Certainly I benefited from the failures and the successes.

You taught me patience. Not a gift I was born with. The patience of repetition. How can you write the same thing and answer the same question over and over, often from the same person. I find this miraculous.

Deirdre thank you for this place.

Janet

EC: Thank you for your lovely Valentine's Day post, Janet. We're so glad to hear EC has helped you and your family.

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, ORH here and I have another story to tell. Does that surprise you? Sex is like over-time work, you don't need any, after you just had some. At 84, it is like the OLD WILD ROOT hair oil commercial.... "a little dab will do you". Things are getting interesting at our household, so I started researching. We back into EDTA Chelation which cleans out your blood vessels, so I started there.

I stopped 4 years ago before my electrical problems, but prior to that I had done over 100 chelations. I had been with some 200 folks with by-passes, stints, etc and their last resort to survive was EDTA Chelation. Some no longer needed glasses after the blood could get to their eyes. My research showed me that EDTA Chelation would not solve my ED thing. What I did learn is that after the long drawn out double blind test proving that EDTA Chelation works for your heart. All the medical folks, -----, are like our Fake Media, we really don't know it if really works although proven with their test. That is the reason I call them, the Medical Mafia. A Chelation IV will cost you $125 and it will take 30 to clean your vessels out. That is roughly $3800. But your stents or by-pass will cost $100,000, at the least and that is jus the first go round. You got more coming. So what is my point? If you have a sex problem, forget EDTA Chelation, but it you have a blood vessel pluggage problem, then think EDTA Chelation. Take that to the bank. Forgot...... chelation also cleans out your heavy metals. Out of spit.

ANON, ORH here, suggest you hold your water and listen a tad. My first 30 chelations reduced the pluggage in my Carotid Arteries at age 70 from over half plugged to less than 10%. My arterial gram at age 77 showed that I had zero pluggage around my heart. I do not have a blood vessel pluggage problem as a result of my doing Chelations. No by-passes, no stents at age 84. I do have an electrical problem and the two are not connected. I love to meet flip novices like you. You just smart enough to be dangerous. I had a message for all to consider based on my experience. They can take it or not. You are not from Canada, but I bet you a dollar to a donut that you are north of the Mason Dixon line. Your charm reveals this.

EDTA Chelation

17 intravenous EDTA 4 hour drips, lymph-draining massage, saved my life in 2001 after lethal mycotoxins exposures & massive organ failure. I was given whole blood transfusions & diagnosed with terminal cancer then given 5-7 days to live. I also used NAET kinesiology treatments which helped. Most ppl & physicians dont have any curiosity or interest in learning or asking questions. My cholesterol count was down 100 points after 5-treatments.

Adverse side effects were few: shy veins & scar tissue hampers blood being drawn..otherwise, my health was greatly improved & I am still enjoying beneficial side effects. Ppl & physicians consider this illegal, unapproved by FDA & do not research because they unfortunately believe this therapy is dangerous, bogus nonsense.. My administering MD lost his TN license to practice medicine in TN.

CEAN, I feel your pain. EDTA Chelation has passed the FDA double blind test since your doctor was disbarred. They fought it tooth and nail, but we won out. As told before there were two types of folks that got EDTA Chelation from my Integrative doctor...... rich folks and Rednecks. This was before my time but I have heard the story a jullion times.

They brought my Doctor before the Tn Medical Board and were going to take his license because he did EDTA Chelation. About two dozen of my doctors patients went to that hearing. After listening to the smart ass cardiologist say what they were going to do to our doctor, one Redneck in overalls stood up and told him that if anything bad happens to his doctor, then something bad was going to happen to him. Case dismissed.

Our nation is in this situation right now. Folks need to stand up and put the fear of God into these rioting parasites. Won't say any more least the Boss cut me off.
