Unlocking the Health Secrets of Turpentine: Natural Remedy Powerhouse

| Modified on Feb 16, 2024
Turpentine.

For generations, turpentine has been revered as a versatile natural remedy, transcending its common perception as just a paintbrush cleaner. This herbal marvel, distilled from pine resin, has a storied history in traditional medicine, offering a range of health benefits.

Health Conditions Treated with Turpentine

Combating Parasites

Turpentine has long been a folk remedy for parasites. Its effectiveness against pinworms is notable, with a simple application method involving turpentine drops on a sugar cube, making it palatable and easy to administer.

Fighting Fungus and Candida

Utilized in various anti-candida protocols, turpentine serves as a cost-effective solution for nail fungus. Regular application of a drop on affected nails demonstrates its remedial potency.

Supporting Autism Treatments

The inclusion of turpentine in protocols for autistic children highlights its potential in addressing heavy metals and candida issues, though professional guidance is paramount.

Turpentine overdose in children may be rare, but it has occurred. 1

Eradicating Head Lice

Head lice are a common issue in schools. While there are many over-the-counter and prescription treatments, they can be harmful, especially with repeated use. Additionally, lice are increasingly becoming resistant to these treatments. A safer and more effective alternative is a mixture of turpentine and coconut oil.How to Prepare and Apply the Treatment:

  1. Mixing Ratio: Combine turpentine and coconut oil in a ratio of 1:10. You can also use olive oil or mayonnaise instead of coconut oil.
  2. Application: Gently massage the mixture into the scalp and evenly distribute it through the hair.
  3. Covering: After applying the mixture, cover the hair with plastic wrap. Then, wrap a towel over the plastic for an hour.
  4. Rinsing: After one hour, remove the towel and plastic wrap. Thoroughly wash the hair to remove all oils.
  5. Repeating the Treatment: Repeat this entire process one week later. In the meantime, use a nit comb to remove any remaining nits (lice eggs).

This natural method offers a safer alternative to traditional lice treatments, reducing the risks associated with chemical-based products.

Soothing Arthritis and Gout

Massage oil can be made with turpentine to massage into pained joints. Because castor oil is also suitable for arthritis, it is an excellent medium to be mixed with turpentine. Use 1 part turpentine and 3 parts castor oil, olive oil, or coconut oil. Do not use this oil on sensitive skin, broken skin, or mucous membranes.

Alleviating Cold and Flu Symptoms

Turpentine can be used in various ways to alleviate symptoms of colds and flu.

1. Sore Throat Relief:

  • Method: Gently swab the back of the throat with turpentine.
  • Optional: Follow up with honey to improve taste.

2. Sinus Congestion Treatment:

  • Preparation: Mix 5 drops of turpentine with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Application: Place a few drops of this mixture into each nostril to ease congestion and combat infection.

3. Cough Remedy:

  • Use: Apply the same turpentine and olive oil mixture used for sinuses. Massage it into the back and chest areas to help alleviate coughing.
  • Alternative Method: For internal use, place 1-3 drops of turpentine on a sugar cube and consume.

4. Inhalation for Cold Viruses:

  • Method: Simply inhale turpentine vapors.
  • Effect: This method delivers turpentine directly into the lungs, throat, and nasal passages, offering relief from cold symptoms.

Treating Urinary Tract Infections

Turpentine is sometimes used to treat bladder infections. 1/4 teaspoon turpentine is added to a spoonful of sugar (or honey) and taken once.

Turpentine Dosages

The appropriate dosage of turpentine varies, ranging from a mere drop to a full teaspoon. It's important to start with a small amount, gradually increase it, and closely observe how your body reacts.

1. Simple Administration Method:

Turpentine on Sugar Cubes: Placing it on sugar cubes is a popular and easy way to ingest turpentine.

2. Recommended Dosage Protocol by Bill Thompson:

Initial Dosage:

  • Begin with a small dosage. This could be a few drops or start with ¼ teaspoon.
  • Gradually increase the amount, but do not exceed 1 teaspoon per dose.

Frequency of Dosage:

  • Initially, take turpentine twice a week.
  • Progress to a schedule of one day on turpentine, followed by one day off.

Consecutive Dosing Cycle:

  • For ongoing issues, Bill Thompson suggests taking turpentine for five consecutive days, followed by a two-day break.
  • Continue this cycle for about six weeks to effectively combat a wide range of pathogens, including parasites, candida, bacteria, and viruses.

Important Considerations:

  • Always take turpentine just before meals.
  • Ensure to have regular breaks in the dosage cycle to reduce stress on the body and adjust the dosage as needed.

This structured approach to turpentine dosing aims to maximize its effectiveness while minimizing potential stress on the body.

Dosage Information for Candida and Fungal Infections

When using turpentine to treat Candida and fungal infections, a specific dosage pattern is recommended to manage Herxheimer reactions (die-off reactions).

Dosage Schedule:

  • Alternating Days: The advised dosage is on an alternating day basis – one day on, followed by one day off. This schedule helps those experiencing intense initial Herxheimer reactions by providing a rest day after each turpentine dose. The aim is to offer a more tolerable experience during the initial phase of eliminating Candida.

Combining Turpentine with Castor Oil:

  • Purpose: Castor oil is recommended for use with turpentine, particularly when targeting pathogens and Candida in the intestinal tract.
  • Benefits: The castor oil serves two primary functions:
  1. Coating the Digestive Tract: It helps in evenly distributing the turpentine throughout the intestinal tract.
  2. Laxative Effect: Castor oil facilitates the elimination of pathogens that turpentine is working to eradicate.

This combination and dosage strategy are designed to enhance the effectiveness of turpentine in treating Candida and fungal infections while mitigating potential discomfort from die-off reactions.

Optimal Type of Turpentine for Medicinal Use

When selecting turpentine for medicinal purposes, choosing the right type for safety and efficacy is crucial. The best turpentine for health-related uses is:

Pure Gum Spirit Turpentine:

  • Derived from Pine Resin: This type of turpentine is distilled directly from pine tree resin, ensuring a natural and organic product.
  • No Additives: It should be free from any additives or synthetic chemicals.
  • Quality Assurance: Look for brands that guarantee purity and quality. Many users prefer products like the Diamond G Forest Products Brand, known for its organic and pure nature.

Important Note: Avoid turpentine made from petroleum products, as these are not suitable for medicinal use. Always read labels carefully to ensure that you're getting pure, resin-based turpentine.

Turpentine Side Effects

Turpentine can have side effects as with most natural and even not-so-natural remedies. You will find more information about turpentine side effects and how to avoid them here.

Considering Kerosene as a Natural Remedy

Kerosene and turpentine are distilled products, but there are significant differences, especially regarding their use as natural remedies.

Source and Composition:

  • Wood vs. Petroleum: Historically, kerosene could be distilled from wood, similar to turpentine. However, most kerosene available today is derived from petroleum.

Medicinal Use:

  • Not Recommended: Due to its petroleum origin, kerosene is generally not advised for medicinal use. This contrasts with turpentine, derived from pine resin and often used in traditional remedies.
  • Exception in Emergencies: The only circumstance where kerosene might be considered for medicinal purposes is in an emergency situation where no other remedies are available.

Turpentine for Stubborn Acid Reflux (GERD)

This is how I cured my acid reflux which I suffered from for 17 years (nothing else had helped):

1 teaspoon daily of purified gum turpentine. (I took it in my mouth and washed it down with a glass of water. do not swallow without water as it can get into the windpipe.)

I paused for 1-3 days when side effects like diarrhea were too much. Side effects subside the cleaner your body gets. Turpentine kills of biofilms which cause the acid reflux.

Bill, do you think it would be helpful to take Vitamin C for any Herx or die-off reaction? I've seen this in detox protocols to protect the liver. Not sure if applies here. Thanks!

Hi Jake...Vitamin C is useful and I also use it in my own protocols against candida. Ordinary Vitamin C -- ascorbic acid -- is also useful for detoxing but best used to bowel tolerance strength and that's because vitamin c is so poorly absorbed into the body from the gut. Only about 15% to 20% of oral vitamin c(in either ascorbate or ascorbic acid forms) is absorbed into the blood. So this is quite an inefficient and wasteful way to take vitamin c.

Other more efficient ways of supplementing vitamin are as follows:

* By IV as ascorbate
* Lyphosomal Vitamin C
* Vitamin C(as ascorbate) + DMSO used transdermaly
* Oral or transdermal dehydroascorbic acid(DHA)

Most people already know all about taking the the oral, IV and Lyphosomal forms of vitamin c. But taking it as DHA is interesting. The DHA form, when taken orally, is absorbed from the gut into the blood much more efficiently and quickly than with the ordinary oral form. DHA is also easily absorbed into the cells because it is a glucose mimic. It takes a different pathway from the gut into the blood and this is called the GLUT-1 pathway. The body thinks the DHA is glucose and will therefore absorb much larger amounts of DHA more easily into the blood and cells. And if you starve your body of glucose -- as in IPT therapy -- then this will sensitize the GLUT-1 receptors more which will then absorb even higher amounts of DHA into the cells. Another unique advantage of DHA is that it is easily absorbed across the blood/brain and blood/bone barriers whereas this is not the case for ordinary vitamin c. The only problem with the DHA form is that it seems to be more expensive than the ordinary oral vitamin c form.

If you want a cheap and cheerful way to orally supplement DHA then, as Ted from Bangkok recommends, all you need is lugols iodine, Baking Soda(Arm & Hammer is fine to use), Ascorbic acid and a glass of water. First add 1/4 tspn of ascorbic acid(1 gram) to the water. Then add 6 drops of LI. You will notice that the iodine in the water turns from brown to clear and that's because the ascorbic acid is oxidized and converted to DHA while the molecular iodine is reduced to clear iodide. The last thing you add is the baking soda -- add this until the fizzing stops. Now you have an oral solution of sodium ascorbate + iodide + DHA in ascorbate form. Cheaper, convenient and effective.

Another useful way to take vitamin c(as ascorbate) is transdermally using DMSO and water(70% DMSO + 30% water by volume). To this ascorbate/DMSO mixture just add 6 drops of iodine. This creates some DHA in the mix. Therefore, when you paint your skin with this mixture, the DMSO will efficiently carry about 80% of the Vit C + DHA + iodide directly into the blood. This simple transdermal method also has the other advantage of not causing any problems or ructions in the gut because you're not taking it orally.

Concerning candida and detox I would take something like Vitamin C, Sodium Thiosulfate or EDTA for detoxing the blood and organs but I would also make sure to take chlorella for purely intestinal detox. Dr William Kelly verified in his writings that chlorella contains large molecules called alginates. These large molecules, after they bind to heavy metals in the gut, cannot be absorbed or redistributed into the blood from the colon because alginate is such a huge molecule -- that's why alginates can only remove heavy metals in the gut. With the other forms -- Vitamin C, Sodium Thiosulfate etc that act in the blood -- their will always be some redistribution of heavy metals in the body. So that's one very good reason to use chlorella for gut detox -- especially when you have candida because candida biofilms in the gut contain such high amounts of heavy metals. So when you destroy alot of candida biofilms using turpentine then you must take the chlorella 1/2 hr to 1 hr after the turps to mop up and neutralize all the heavy metals released from biofilm destruction. if you don't mop up these heavy metals in the gut promptly and appropriately then they will just get absorbed into the blood via the colon to cause all manner of physical, mental and other symptoms and problems.

Dear Bill,

Thanks for taking time to post this fascinating information! I have a couple of questions if you do not mind.

The recipe to make DHA with lugol's, ascorbic acid and baking soda - would that be an appropriate way to get a more easily absorbed form of vitamin C for general immune boosting? (Like for when you are sick with a cold?)

Also, would this "count" towards your iodine and vitamin C needs for those using the Iodine protocol for thyroid?

Finally, is the Lugol's you use for this the 5% version?

I take the equivalent of 8 drops a day of 5% (still finishing up my 2% bottle) and am wondering if I made and took the DHA if I would still want to take more iodine, or if at that point, it would be overkill.

Thanks so much!

Hi Mama to Many...In answer to your questions:

The recipe to make DHA with lugol's, ascorbic acid and baking soda - would that be an appropriate way to get a more easily absorbed form of vitamin C for general immune boosting? (Like for when you are sick with a cold?)

If you require more absorbable vitamin c then, yes, taking it with LI will increase the absorption of vitamin c(as dehydroascorbic acid) into the body.

To begin to answer this question I've come to the belief that Vitamin C, Lugols Iodine and Sea Salt are all critical for the immune system because all these nutrients actually constitute the main ammunition to help the neutrophils engulf and destroy pathogens for the immune system. The phagocytes and neutrophils of the immune system actively destroy all pathogens -- viruses, bacteria, fungi etc -- by spraying out hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorous acid and hypoiodous acid over the engulfed pathogen which immediately destroys these pathogens who have no defence and cannot possibly adjust to these substances because their destructive action is so quick. Then they are engulfed and digested by the phagocytes for later excretion via the liver.

From my own research, vitamin c is indeed vital to the immune system and is stored onboard the phagocyte, later to be converted into hydrogen peroxide. Similarly, sea salt or chlorides are absorbed and stored by the phagocyte to later be converted by an enzyme(myeloperoxidase) together with the hydrogen peroxide(from vitamin c) to create the hypochlorous acid that is sprayed out over the pathogen to kill it. Exactly the same process happens when the iodide stored in the phagocyte is later converted and used as hypoiodous acid to kill all manner of pathogens. What's more, I've read research where they confirmed that the hypoiodous acid form was seven times stronger at killing pathogens than the hypochlorous acid form.

It should also be of interest, with everyone's somewhat one-sided fascination and praise of just anti-oxidants, that hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorous acid and hypoiodous acid are all oxidants that use their unique free-radical action to kill pathogens in the human body at the appropriate time. The fascinating thing that occurs to me is that the human body critically needs the correct balance of both oxidants(free-radicals) and anti-oxidants in the body to have a healthy and strong immune system. Another important outcome from this is that it appears to be the habit of the normal human body to store useful oxidants as anti-oxidants. And when these dangerous free-radical oxidants are sprayed outside the phagocyte to kill pathogens and, after completion of this task, then other enzymes in the blood such as catalase or SOD will act to safely mop up and remove these dangerous excess free-radicals from the blood which, if left to accumulate unchecked, would further act to cause host cell damage in the human body.

My conclusions are that both oxidants and antioxidants are essential and critical for the human body to be healthy with a strong immune system. I take sea salt, vitamin c and larger dose LI every day. This is also perhaps why I have caught no infectious disease like a cold or flu or anything within the last 9 years. And no autoimmune problems yet either even though I'm a fairly old geezer. All I'm doing here is simply keeping my immune system ammo up to scratch and this has worked quite well for me as a sort of ongoing preventative protocol.

Also, would this "count" towards your iodine and vitamin C needs for those using the Iodine protocol for those using the Iodine protocol for thyroid?

Taking the iodine with Vitamin C certainly will count towards more iodide storage in the thyroid and body. But, getting deeper into it, the body really needs the triiodide, iodide and molecular iodide forms. SSKI is useful as iodide for the thyroid but it does not have the molecular iodine or triiodide forms. Nascent Iodine(NI) is also useful because it contains just triiodide form. But triiodide will not detox heavy metals or halides(bromine and fluorine) out of the body. NI is touted as being the easiest iodine form for absorption in the body. Not true. For instance the female breast can only accept and store the molecular iodine form. This is why I prefer the LI form of iodine -- it's just the best and most complete form of iodine out there.

Finally, is the Lugol's you use for this the 5% version?

Yes I always use 5% LI for my own protocols. For all dosages that I give out you should be using 5% LI. This seems to confuse people. For instance if, say, you are using 2% LI and take 8 drops a day then that is not the dose I recommend -- too low because 8 drops of 5% LI is equivalent to 20 drops of 2% LI. Another way of looking at this is that 5% LI contains 50 mgs iodine/iodide whereas 8 drops of 2% LI contains only 20 mgs iodine/iodide. See the LI mgs to drop conversion chart here.

I take the equivalent of 8 drops a day of 5% (still finishing up my 2% bottle) and am wondering if I made and took the DHA if I would still want to take more iodine, or if at that point, it would be overkill.

Taking LI with just water or with vitamin c is really your choice depending on what problem you are addressing. I use the vitamin c with LI to increase the negative conductivity of the cells in my body which is so good for overall health. But when you take LI with vitamin c you are essentially taking ascorbic acid, DHA and just the iodide form. This is why I always take the LI form with water -- this ensures that I get the triiodide, iodide and molecular iodine forms that are all so beneficial for the body.

Some more information for you which will immeasurably help anybody's immune system. The nutrient is called bovine colostrum. In 1957 a French virologist name Albert Sabin invented the first oral polio vaccine which he synthesized and made from bovine colostrum. He also loudly proclaimed that all young children should take colostrum every day. Dairy farmers have known about the beneficial effects of colostrum for centuries.

I've recently been reading where colostrum will cure all forms of allergies as well as actively cure infectious and autoimmune diseases. See the evidence and read why here.

Benefits of Colostrum

I've also been reading where people have been cured of CFS, Fibro, MS, gut problems and there was one gent who had serious candida issues who only drank one gallon of the liquid colostrum straight from the cow which cured him completely of candida and all his allergies problems (including allergies to milk and wheat) within two weeks. All he did was to slowly drink one gallon of bovine colostrum until it was gone.

Some more research on the effects of Immune Milk(more pathogen-specific than colostrum) against a host of bacterial, fungal and viral diseases:

Immune Milk Facts

So it seems as if colostrum is a nutrient that acts as a completely safe multi-vaccine for kids and grown-ups alike. It seems to be a very fast way to reset, retrain and stregthen the immune system. Bovine Colostrum contains bovine anti-bodies against all the common diseases in our environment like Candida, Shigella, H Pylori, Staph, Strep, Epstein Barr, HSV, E. Coli etc. that get passed like blueprints from the mother cow directly to the child or adult to help strengthen the immune system by leaps and bounds. So if a child or adult is continually sick with a weak immune system with lots of allergies or gut problems then colostrum will definitely provide lasting benefit.

The best colostrum seems to come from New Zealand where all cows are grass fed without being force-fed antibiotics, steroids, unnatural feeds etc.

I only thought to mention colostrum because I am well aware that you worry about your own kids health and well being(especially in the winter season).

Just started taking the turpentine with castor oil last week for arthritis. Starting slowly with 2 doses a week. I'll be up to 10 drops this weekend. Noticing a difference with energy already. The side effects have been minor. The hardest day was day 1 with 3 drops of turpentine in 1 tsp of castor oil with nausea for hours - drank lots of water which, helped. 2nd day was much smoother - I was nauseous for only 15 min. and felt great the rest of the day - doses always make me thirsty so I drink LOTS of water on the day of and for the next day or two after a dose.

I have a question though, for Bill: would you please recommend a brand or two of organic, cold pressed castor oil?

I have searched for "organic cold pressed castor oil for internal use" on both Amazon and eBay and the only organic, cold pressed castor oil I can find is for skin, eyelashes and hair. Having a hard time finding castor oil on the internet for internal use that's organic and cold pressed. Some organic, cold pressed castor oils clearly state "for external use only" - the one's that don't, show no indication for internal use, leaving me guessing. Also, many organic, cold pressed castor oils on the internet do not show ingredients so, I could be getting a product that is not pure castor oil. I originally purchased the HUMCO castor oil at our local grocery store before starting the turpentine treatment - it is cold pressed, no hexanes but, not organic. However, it's the only castor oil I can find that clearly indicates on the bottle it is intended for internal use.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hello, after reading your site, I started taking turpentine for my arthritis. I've been taking it for a little over a week. (1tsp turpentine/1tsp honey) After only a few days the arthritis pain was completely gone as was the pain from two bone spurs on my foot.

My question is this; I'm having stomach pain (intestinal). I am not sure if it is related or coincidence, but I wanted to ask, should I take less, or do you have a recommendation? I've seen other sites relating "turpentine poisoning" to severe stomach pain.

Thank you!

You may want to try and drink 1 or 2 ounces of liquid bentonite clay to help with the gut pain from the turpentine. It is neutral, not active like turpentine, and will absorb toxins in the gut, from flu and food poisoning as well by smothering it and snuffing it out like a candle. You could have pain from raw gut exposed or just die off in the gut, the clay won't hurt you either way, but it will smother whatever is bothering you!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Like Softa, I too tried the turpentine for extreme arthritis but have seen results I was not expecting. I tried Dr Daniels protocol using the sugar cubes and 1 tsp. of turp. and have had 2 doses. The first on a Fri. and then the following up with the second dose on Tues. My back feels better (but wondering if that isn't due to the enemas). The unexpected result I experienced is that my left knee and right hip are in terrible pain, hurting more than ever. My knee seems to hurt the worst and oddly I didn't have pain in it before I started the protocol. I have also found that by drinking so much water my feet and legs swell up something awful so I did cut back on how much I drink. I keep a quart jar of distilled water with me at all times and drink from it throughout the day (refilling as I go) and my guess is that I am drinking about 3/4 of a gal., which I seem to be able to handle.I am also drinking juices that I make at home with my juicer. I will continue to try for a few more weeks to see if there are any improvements.

I first heard of turpentine being used as med. when I was very young from my grandparents and then again about 8-10 yrs ago from a gentleman in his mid 70's. My children had gotten head lice while in primary school and he told me I should give them a dose because it would get rid of anything. Of course I didn't because I thought it was poisonous. Seems his family used it as he was growing up.

If anyone knows why the pain in my knee and hip have gotten worse I would love to hear or any suggestions regarding the arthritis. I also have considered the oxygen therapy as well. The thought of drinking water that tastes like bleach doesn't appeal to me but if it helps the arthritis that would be worth it.

Mary: You are experiencing "detox reactions" from only two doses of turpentine. Chronic arthritis (pain & inflammation) isn't really a disease in itself, it is a symptom of disease caused by bad diet, toxicity, infection, etc.

Depending on the severity of your case (usually severity coincides w/ age) will determine how bad the "reactions" and how much time it takes to clear the bad stuff.

Here is a link to the detox page for more info https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/detoxification.html

For starters I highly recommend antioxidant nutrition (a deficiency of which causes many types of chronic and inflammatory conditions), Dr Christopher's "Red Clover Combination" herb caps, Epsom Salts/Baking Soda/Borax whole body hot baths, Iodine, and ACV. Detox Foot Spas & Patches are great for eliminating heavy metals and zenobiotics as well as parasites.

Mary, I believe your hurting in your knee and hip is due to your body getting rid of the arthritis. It takes a while for your body to rid itself of arthritis after you start taking the medicine like turpentine. I was checking out candida cleanse online and that protocol is taken for 6 weeks and it is understood that your body continues even after you are done with the program to rid your body of toxins. Usually, your body experiences effects of removing the toxins with nausea, aching, headaches, extreme fatigue, etc. Your body aching in parts where you have never experience pain is right there with the effects others have experienced. You will probably get worse before you get better but don't get discouraged. The way I feel about it is that the sicker I am while taking the stuff, the better I will feel when the body is finished releasing the toxins. If you do not get the results you hoped with taking turpentine, you might check out the book CANDIDA Killing So Sweetly by Bill Thompson. Also, be careful not to take too much of the turpentine at a time and don't take it too long. While it can be curing, it can also be deadly taking too much of it. Taking turpentine is suppose to be the last alternative in the Candida Cleanse like what you do when the regular cleanse does not get it all and the Candida returns again after you believe you have rid your body of all Candida. When you read the Candida book, you will see that Candida is the cause of your arthritis and when you get rid of the Candida, you will rid your body of the pain of arthritis. You will get rid of a myriad of other maladies also. You are obviously very smart because you are finding solutions for the problems your body is experiencing and not waiting on a doctor to help. There are many of us out here that are taking our help in our hands and looking for solutions. Don't stop searching and finding solutions....that is the true key. I believe this is one reason they say we are the generation to live to be 150 years old. We will not depend on traditional medicine to cure our ills.

Hi Bill Thompson- thank you for this fascinating site, and for the protocol information below for autism. My son has autism. After being diagnosed at age 2 at the severe end of the spectrum, he is now actually doing very well (aged 6) since we took him out of the national health care system and carefully selected a few treatments that felt right. His main difficulties are with understanding social interactions.

We don't have any particular reason to think that parasites or bacteria are the cause - unless that is always the cause of such conditions.

According to your responses so far, it seems that the protocol is different depending on the age of the child. What would it be for a 6-year old, and how long would it need to go on for (or is it ongoing)? Is there anything else we can do for him to support the process?

(would this also be a suitable protocol for an adult for general health and to possibly resolve un-diagnosed health niggles?)

Thank you again.

Best Wishes,
Guy

To get a better idea about her protocol, you can download her book -- Healing the Symptoms Known as Autism -- for free from her website. Her protocol involves a parasite cleanse, candida cleanse and heavy metals cleanse. These comprise daily oral therapies, enemas and a special diet for the child. So far, according to her website, 181 ASD kids have been completely cured according to their ATEC scores.

Keri's protocol fully accepts that candida and parasites as well as heavy metals(from vaccines) are the main cause of autism -- it is the waste toxins or poisons from these particular pathogens that acts on the delicate developing brain of a child that causes these serious ASD symptoms and strange behaviours. I believe this to be true because I've been working with a parents autism group for the last 2 years and I've seen all the images they post showing their kid's poop. Every single one of the kids in this large group has both candida and parasites(worms). Alot of the parents also have candida too.

I was asked to help this ASD parent's group with the protocol and that's when I introduced turpentine, iodine, alkalizing, borax etc into their protocols. This seems to have also helped to accelerate recovery. My own full protocol for getting rid of candida and parasites is shown here. Adult and kids dosages are shown in my protocols. If you want more information and the truth about systemic candida problems then I've also written a book called Candida: Killing So Sweetly which might help your own understanding about this fungus.

You would do well to steer clear and not take the allopathic approach to autism. Doctors will only ever recommend managing the symptoms of ASD with never any actual cure in sight. Very few doctors appreciate or understand ASD disorders -- but Dr William Shaw's Research seems to have a particularly good handle on it.

Hi Abdi...Since your son is 17 y o then he should take adult dosages. The Turpentine protocol is quite simple and involves combining the following:

Castor Oil -- Dose range 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon.

Turpentine -- 1 teaspoon of pure gum spirit turpentine.

Add for taste -- one teaspoon of Molasses or Honey.

Start with small dosages of turpentine -- best to start with drop dosages of your choice or start him with 1/4 tspn and slowly work up to the full 1 tspn dose. Take turpentine just before meals. Start you son taking turps just twice a week then work towards giving him turps on a one day on, one day off protocol. Take plenty of breaks from this protocol because this regimen kills a large range of pathogens including parasites, candida, bacteria, viruses, mycoplasma etc. So he will probably get significant die-off(Herx) and detox reactions. Adjust the dosage accordingly to reduce the stress.

You can buy pure gum spirit turpentine at Walmart or Home Depot and other sellers. Brands of turpentine that you can buy and use in the protocol:

Diamond G Forest Products -- Organic Turpentine

Klean Strip Turpentine 1 -- Walmart or Home Depot

KleanStrip 1-K Kerosene -- Walmart or Home Depot

Other nutrients that your son should take are Lugols Iodine, Borax Water and Alkalizing -- You can find all descriptions and dosages for these protocols on EC or in my book on candida. Other necessary and essential protocols are described in this document and, in greater detail, in my book:

Adjunct Nutrients to Help Minimize Detox and Herx Reactions and to Help Proper Brain Development and Healing (wrt Learning, Social and Behavioural Problems)

You can also add the Hulda Clark Parasite Protocol(Google it) to this regimen which would also benefit your son.

Lastly, it would also greatly help your son if he took enemas regularly at least two or three times a week. Parasites and pathogens can hide safely in the lower intestines because most nutrients that you take by mouth will be completely absorbed or expended by the time they reach the lower intestines(the intestines is 28 ft long). This is why you should incorporate enemas into his regimen.

Hi Abdi...I forgot to mention diet. Avoid the following foods: sugar, wheat, dairy products, yeast products and avoid medicines like anti-depressants, painkillers, steroids and all antibiotics. All these things feed or encourage the spread of pathogens in the body -- especially candida -- and avoiding them will also help to reduce allergies.

Terebinth Cyprus turpentine vs. Georgia Yellow Pine pure gum turpentine

Hello world!

We are all here talking about pure gum turpentine from pine tree sap ( please take with 1000mg chlorella 1 hour after drinking to bind to loose metals and forever chemicals) for amazing health and detox, but what about Dr. Daniel's comprehensive studies on the Pistacia Terebinthus or terebinth turpentine tree from the Middle east. Morocco to Spain to Turkey, even ancient Egyptians talk about the healing power of this lost information?

The two reasons I study this is I see purple spots on the elderly folks' arms and hands around me, and lately people complaining about breathing problems. I keep seeing info on this particular cyprus tree stems and leaf distilled oils helping with a whole host of benefits.

I see companies making oils from its fruit, a small pistachio nut ( all good info), but it is NOT the sap oil that the ancients refer to.

Organic Turpentine distilled from the slash pine is an essential oil. "100% Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine" Would be listed on the label. Normally it is packaged in glass like most essential oils.

The paint thinner turpentine is mixed with chemical solvents. Do not use this. It is toxic and the product conventional media will point to create hysteria and confusion.

My experience has been turpentine will cleanse the pineal/3rd eye and clear energetic densities and dark energies. Meditation and connection to energies will become more vibrant. The use of turpentine in spiritual clearing has been found useful.

Turpentine was traditionally used to treat sciatica and I found much improvement in my own sciatica.

I feel more research should be done in the use of turpentine in the treatment of covid.

Turpentine in its pure form is just essential oils of pine and should smell just like that. Look for small bottles like at a craft store (the best I have found). Painters use turpentine for thinning and I've read on several forums their frustration with quality and not being able to find the real thing anymore. You will be hard pressed to find anything in a can that is pure and can be taken internally, regardless if it says pure gum spirits on the outside. Be careful as I tried this in the beginning and just the smell caused me to get very ill. This works, that is why it is difficult to find and is considered taboo by dr's. If we can cure ourselves we don't spend hundreds of thousands on chemo.

Thanks for contacting us! We would be happy to ship our turpentine to you in France. Since the last time we corresponded, we have negotiated a shipping arrangement with FedEx. Allow me to explain.

Because turpentine is a flammable liquid, we must follow very strict guidelines when shipping it, especially internationally. We cannot ship our turpentine internationally in any container larger than a 1 oz. bottle without incurring a Dangerous Goods Surcharge by our carrier. For this reason, we have a developed an international package that maximizes the quantity we can ship for the international shipping rate charged by our carrier. The rate for shipping this international package to you is as follows:$59.99 ... 24 one-ounce bottles of 100% Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine$42.28 ... shipping via FedEx International Economy$102.27 ... TOTALAny duties, taxes, or fees imposed by your country's government are your responsibility as well.We can ship any of our other products (soap, salve, rosin, etc.) to you in any quantity at very reasonable rates. Only the turpentine is a flammable liquid.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us. If this price quote meets with your approval, simply contact us, and we will send you an electronic invoice that you can pay with either a Paypal account or a credit/debit card. Thanks again! Julie Griner

Greetings. I'm pleased to have found your site. I was introduced to using rectified turpentine many years ago by a homeopathic physician. I was told to only use Rectified turpentine as an impurer form can negatively affect the liver. His remedy was one drop (via an eyedropper) per 10 lbs of body weight. Repeat in 7 days to kill any eggs. I'm having difficulty finding turpentine in the rectified form here in the DR. Basically they have white & yellow. It sounds like you feel comfortable with most types of turpentine, rectified or not. Could those in-the-know expand on this? Especially concerning the liver. Thanks!

Hi Jere...Rectified turpentine has sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide solution added to it whereas pure gum spirits turpentine does not -- it should be made only from the sap oil of the pine tree. Also, whether the turpentine now comes from the bark or whether it comes from the wood or sap is also a bit of a grey area nowadays. For the most part, turpentine is now made as a by-product from the wood and pulp industries. My own preference is to use the distilled pure gum spirit turps without any additives(non-rectified).

Any product that is labelled "pure gum turpentine" should just contain the distilled oil from the tree bark or wood with no further additives. If you want pure gum turps that is collected only from the bark sap and that is organic -- then here is a good source:

http://www.diamondgforestproducts.com/Products.htm

Turpentine contains beneficial iso-pinenes, which act to help cleanse the intestines and purify the blood. Because of its blood purification capabilities. (I've been regularly taking turpentine, at one teaspoon dose, for over a year now. I don't take turps every day because my own current use of turpentine is as a preventative. Generally I take turpentine once or twice a week with castor oil and molasses (or honey).

I know this is an old post, but in case anyone else is looking for pet dosing, I found a protocol on trementina.org which I'm using on my cats with no noticeable side effects:

“It is very important to deworm pets, since they are the vehicle parasites use to get to us. It is especially essential in the home of a child with autism.

1 drop of turpentine is used for each kilogram of animal's weight.

Mix with the same amount of coconut or olive oil, and rub on the pet's belly.

You can also give it orally on a piece of bread or other food.

After a week of treatment, you will notice worms in the animal's feces. Continue with their dose once a week until the stools are clean.”

11/21/2017

Hi M Trying...Rectified just means to purify and doesn't really apply to the manufacture of gum turpentine. But it's quite normal to use gum turpentine internally that has been distilled and this is how it's normaly sold. Distilled just means that the thick pine sap from the tree has been boiled between certain temperatures to obtain a thinner distillate that is eventually sold as pure gum turpentine. Just make sure that it's pure gum turpentine -- without any extra additives like Xylene, Toluene etc and you should be fine.

As advised by Walter Last, there are also several ways to supplement gum turpentine. You can either take it with water or molasses or milk(emulsifier) or raw honey or sugar on an empty stomach, which will then be absorbed quickly into the blood and act to disinfect and purify the blood(i.e. clears the blood, tissues etc of pathogens). Or you can take gum turpentine together with a heavier oil like castor oil or coconut oil for a similar purifying effect throughout the intestines only (because combining it with a heavier oil helps to prevent turpentine absorption into the blood).

Hi Bill,

I had had a question regarding turpentine. After reading your posts and of many others regarding the health benefits of turpentine, I decided to add it to my daily routine. I bought gum spirits of turpentine made from slash pine trees. It is manufactured here in the US, from a company called Diamond G Forest Products, Georgia. On the bottle it says "solvent for removing paints and waxes. DANGER: Harmful or fatal if swallowed; irritant to skin and eyes."

Is this a statutory type of warning? Or did I get the wrong kind of turpentine? If so, I will return it. But I would be grateful if you could guide me to a brand that is safe to take internally and one which is available easily in the US. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

Hi Tina... I know Diamond V Georgia Turpentine and it is a very good organic product. Most turpentine products are the rectified form -- usually made from the distillation of stumps and wood from pine trees. But Diamond V is made in the older proper way -- by collecting the sap from pine trees and distilling this bark sap into pure gum turpentine.

When you begin supplementing with turpentine start either with drop dosages or just start with a 1/4 teaspoon and increase the dose slowly, over a week or more(with breaks), to 1 teaspoon.

The way I supplement turpentine, I take one teaspoon of either raw honey or molasses(your own preference) to coat the tongue and mouth. Then I take 1 one teaspoon of castor oil(or you can use VCO as an alternative if you like) and mix this all up in my mouth. Finally I add the turpentine dosage and mix it all up in the mouth and then chase this down with a glass of water.

Unfortunately, turpentine is not soluble or miscible in water -- which is why you need to take it with an oil of some sort. Other methods of taking turpentine: With sugar or with milk. If you have candida then take the dose before a meal. This ensures that the turps will be carried into the intestines to do its good work against candida there.

I take the turpentine dose only twice a week for preventative reasons. But if you have a problem like candida then you should slowly work up to one teaspoon every day if you can. You will, most likely, get significant die-of or Herx reactions. You are allowed to stop this protocol and have as many breaks as you like in order to make the healing crisis less severe. This is up to you.

Because turpentine is such a rapid pathogen and parasite killer, I take it twice a week as a general preventative. And if you do have a problem in your intestines then supplementing turpentine like this will give a healing reaction(die-off) that you will definitely notice. So I am also using this protocol not only as a preventative, but also as a gauge or indicator if anything is wrong with my intestines. As most know, my own way is to protect the liver, kidney, thyroid and intestines in my own protocols for health.

But there are even more ways of taking turpentine, depending on what outcomes you want. In the above, I have already described how to best take the turpentine to get rid of problems in the intestines against candida, bacteria, parasites etc. But turps is also a blood purifier -- in the blood, it kills many forms of pathogens, expels xenobiotics and also acts as a mild diuretic. That's what I mean by "purifying the blood". So how do we take turps to get rid of blood born diseases to help purify the blood?

The best method obviously involves getting the turps into the blood as fast as possible. Unfortunately, other than taking just the turpentine on an empty stomach outside mealtimes there are not many ways of doing this. But I am considering one way. I've also read that turps can be taken with wine(turps is also soluble in alcohol), so my own idea is to supplement the turps using a small amount of distilled alcohol with water. This would ensure very rapid absorption of the turps directly into the blood from the stomach. I haven't tried this yet(and I don't advise it), but will report back later on how this goes.

Maybe this is why Gin made from conifer is such a common drink among those living in the wilderness; it proly has many of the healing qualities as Turpentine. These may mix well for the body, but the mind will be no better off. Maybe once or twice per wk would be beneficial.

Speaking of methods of administration, Bill; what about Liposomal Turpentine w/ or without sonication? This would definitely promise to deliver the T systemically as opposed to mostly the gut. Am definately willing to give this a try.

Replied by Bill
(San Fernando, Philippines)
01/28/2014

Hi Timh...Liposomal turpentine certainly sounds interesting, but creating a liposomal nano-capsule relies on using lecithin oil to completely surround a droplet of the turpentine. Unfortunately, turpentine is very soluble in such oils so I don't think it would allow the oil to surround and encapsulate it -- but instead would just dissolve in it, thus preventing true liposomal delivery. That's only my opinion, mind you, so might be worth a try.

I also looked into DMSO as possible mechanism for turps delivery into the blood quickly in order to avoid the intestinal route but, unfortunately again, I found out that turpentine was completely insoluble in DMSO. So there are some drawbacks with turpentine, mainly due to its lipophillic nature.

I'm also trying an experiment right now with the turps. I mentioned in another post that I was going to try taking a small amount of alcohol distillate and turpentine mixed with water for faster direct absorption from the stomach into the blood -- for blood born diseases. I've had an annoying head cold and tickle in the throat for the last couple of days, so I thought I would try turps against this virus. I found an old bottle of whisky so I used that. Two teaspoons of jock whisky mixed with one teaspoon turpentine was the dose, then I added a third of a glass of water and drank it down (without ice...lol). Didn't taste that bad, to tell the truth.

That was over 2 hours ago. And yes, there were a few rumbles in the jungle from way down below, as well as some minor bloating effects but nothing too awkward, radical or painful. No nausea or anything like that. I have to admit that right now my head is not so fuzzy, blocked nose is gone, my vision is a lot clearer with apparently less coughing. It's evening now and early days yet, so will be able to judge the result more honestly tomorrow or in the next few days I think.

Hi Bill,

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Earth Clinic and it's readers are truly fortunate to be able to benefit from your knowledge.

i am going to start taking the turpentine, beginning with one-fourth tsp, twice a week using raw honey/coconut oil method you recommend. My aim is to use it as a parasitic cleanse. Will keep you posted on my progress!

I have been taking H2O2 first thing every morning since last summer. I am now on the maintenance dose of three drops. It's been very helpful and I am reluctant to stop it. My energy level has never been better and even with the terrible winter we've been having in the North East, my immune system remains strong. Could I continue taking it every morning even on the days that I take the turpentine? Or would that be too much? Thanks again for your help.

Hi Tina...Turpentine is mainly an anti-oxidant therapy but Hydrogen Peroxide is a pro-oxidant therapy. So if you take them at the same time they will react with each other to cancel out and neutralize each other's beneficial effects.

Luckily, hydrogen peroxide only lasts for about an hour in the body before it is used up. So just make sure that you take the turpentine dose at least an hour or two after you have taken the hydrogen peroxide.

It's not so bad for the turpentine because the reduced form(anti-oxidant) and the oxidized form of turpentine both have beneficial properties for the body. See this link. However, whenever HP is neutralized by an anti-oxidant it is usually just converted to oxygen and water and all its pathogen-killing and detox properties are lost as a consequence.
