Every spring and every fall my grandmother would line my brothers and cousins up and each of us got our twice yearly dose of worming ---- a tablespoon of milk with two drops of gum turpentine. And the next few days we kept tabs on our stool passings and sure enough, out came the worms. Hey, we lived on a farm will all kinds of critters and my gram was well versed on how to get rid of most of the nasty ones.

This will sound silly but where do you get the turpentine? We have been suffering from pin worms im at my witts end. I'm willing to try but it seems a bit scary. Can I give it to my kids ages8 -2?

HI U SPARROW, , , , , , , , , , ,

Not speaking as an authority, but when I started turpentine a year or so ago I researched awhile and bought my gum spirits from a professional Art Supplier on the internet. Artist use the highest quality Gum Spirits Turpentine there is. I would mention the name, but don't think that's allowed. It's not dirt cheap, but I had rather pay a little more than get tainted stuff.

Have not taken it in a while, but took it on on sugar cubes and it stayed with me for the rest of the day. Followed the directions of Dr Jennifer Daniels on the internet. She's one smart lady and was trying to help poor people until Big Pharma ran her off to Panama. I won't get into my Dante's Inferno routine.

Hi Sparrow from New York -- from Om

We used to get it in kindergarden in Europe. A few drops on sugar cube or molasses. Start with one drop and increase to, say, four. Up to one quarter tsp. or a little more. I found mine at a hardware store and phoned the company to make sure it was pure. It was pure. it is great stuff once you get used to it. Google "Experiences with Kerosene and Turpentine". Or read Walter Last on these. Namaste, Om

Mary, sorry for late reply: the nurses who ran the kindergarten would treat us with the stuff on sugar cube whenever they saw we were developing a cold.

Let me share with you good people my adventure with turp a coupe of days ago. It has a good outcome though. My mite problem in my face, scalp and eyes after tedious treatments would not abate but become worse. So, after much subduing my chicken out feelings I stripped and dipping my face cloth into the turp proceeded to cover myself from top to bottom as per a link on line somewhere suggested from european sources. Midway, the stuff started to spread by itself a good deal which reminded me of oil spills in the ocean with an ominous feeling that I was in for an unknown experience of an intimidating nature. By the time I had reached the top I stated burning with all my skin vibrating violently, the turp wandering into mouth and eyes so I could not see. The fumes were overwhelming, reaching lungs and brain. I was mortified, felt like swooning off and on, ran to open the window and showering with cold water without stopping the vibrating and burning effects which were very strong. I grabbed a blanket and finally thought it best to call the ambulance which arrived with two very helpful men who took some initial tesst which turned out o.k. I only told them I had inhaled turp from an open container, not more because I do not lie. At the hospital all tests turned fine except they wanted me to shower because of the smell but the nurses forgot to give me soap and towels but that is another story.

The ambulance men said I was sensitive to turp odour and it should not have any repercussions. After some useless hours freezing in a flimsy gown I got dressed not having got the promised soup as I was weak from not eating for hours, I took a taxi home.

About two days later please note the outcome: My skin is good, the mites not noted again except I have to use application in the nose with tee tree oil. No itchy head. A long standing fungal infection that resisted all attempts to clear it: Gone! My eyes are clear, so is my brain, in fact better, and my intermittent cough gone which makes me think if I ever had predators in my lungs, they are gone.

I had taken before oral turp w sugar without trouble and will do so again. I m having trouble with finding the right turp even though I questioned the manufacturer, their product saying"pure" and "bio option". May be I will end up finding it eventually.

Please take this account for your entertainment only. Regards, Om

Hi Om...I've also been experimenting with gum turpentine. I'm still using turp drops daily for oral hygiene. I tend to always mix a few drops of gum turps with other oils such as coconut oil or castor oil if I use it on externally on the skin. And I'm still supplementing the turpentine(1 tspn) + CO(1 tspn) + honey/molasses(1 tspn) once or twice a week. It's definitely powerful stuff.

I was also thinking that a much easier way to take a turpentine bath would be to have a pine bubble bath and simply add one or two whisky shot glasses of gum turpentine to the water as well. The pleasant pine oil soap in the water would make the turps smell unnoticeable and would also function to more efficiently emulsify the turps into tiny droplets for better distribution in the bath water. Then all you need to do is clean yourself and just relax in the hot bath for about 20 mins in order to allow the turpentine to act and do its magic on the body.

Bill,

Thanks for your remarks. Trouble is when I bought this house, I had no idea how useless a "water saving" bath tub is. It is just good for showers. I will use your information and hope to get somewhere with the mite problem. I am now going to use neem to improve the immune system as well as alkalizing. Those buggers are in my eye sockets and ears/nose. I thought also of using a mister with colloidal silver for the face. If you have comment or suggestions I would appreciate those. Namaste Om

Hi Om...I'm in the same situation as you -- no-one takes baths in the Philippines, its always showers. Some more suggestions for you.

If you regard your mite problem as just topical and not internal, then you can try the following remedies:

* Use the topical remedy that Ted uses for Lyme/Morgellon's Disease shown here on EC. His remedy is also geared to kill a wide range of pathogens including insects, worms, fungus, bacteria, viruses, parasites etc. I would simply use this hydrogen peroxide/borax remedy topically after showering, applying it to all your mite infected areas(including hair and scalp) and leave it to dry and soak in properly without washing it off. Later, after an hour or two, you can wash it off. It might also be advised to hydrate the skin afterwards using aloe vera oil or coconut oil.

Ted has also used a stronger modified form of this remedy in the past to get rid of his more serious Morgellon's problem(also a tick problem) when he was working in America -- using 2% - 3% DMSO(Dimethylsulfoxide), 5% borax in a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution as a topical remedy. He also suggested using neem. See this link. This creates sodium perborate in solution which is carried into the sub-epidermal regions by DMSO to more effectively kill all the mites and pathogens lurking deep inside the skin. This remedy is very efficient and doesn't just act on top of the skin but works its magic deeper in the sub-epidermal layers to kill the mites and larva there as well.

My own favourite all-round topical remedy, which might also help you, is to simply apply DMSO mixed with a few drops of lugols iodine to the offending areas. Works on the same principals as Ted's Morgellon's remedy(iodine is carried deep into the skin by the DMSO). I now use a 50-50 mix of DMSO with lugols iodine but I would not advise other people to try this because some people might get a reaction in the thyroid caused by lack of certain anti-oxidants in their diet. For more on this aspect see here and here.

* For your nasal problems which are most likely a fungal/bacterial problem, I would recommend the product shown here. I know this product works well because my daughter-in-law uses it for her rhinitis, allergy and blocked nose problems and it works like magic. It is an all herbal nasal product made in an organic way without the use of chemicals, steroids, anti-histamines etc. Another option is just to regularly rinse your nose using a neti pot, water and sea salt. Or you can use a dilute solution of lugols iodine with a dropper which will also help to kill pathogens and clear the nose.

If none of the above remedies work for you or you get some improvement but you cannot fully cure your own mite problem with topical remedies alone then, logically, there must be an internal problem in association with the mite problem.

* Take Ted's borax water remedy as shown on EC. Borax acts to dry up and kill the mites from the inside. Add 1/8 tspn borax to a liter of water and drink a liter a day using this remedy on a five days on, two days off cycle like that.

* One of the better remedies against Lyme(and mites) is Dr Lee Cowden's internal all-herbal remedy which is fully described here with all nutrients, dosages and sourcing of ingredients used in his protocol:

Dr Cowden's Lyme Cure

Also remember that you will have to disinfect bedding, furniture and clothes to be absolutely sure of mite riddance. Wash all you clothes with borax. Spray a mite disinfectant on bedding and furniture or you can simply sprinkle and use diatomacious earth just as well to kill them in the house.

Hi Bill, again many thanks for your kindness in providing valuable info. It may well be that I may have them internally, too, do you think that turpentine w. BSM three times a week would deal with that?

I had planned to use neem caps. with basil caps for my sugar which may deal with the problem. But after three months' usage I would have to use something else as neem is very astringent and causes weight loss. I will look into all your suggestions. I was familiar with Ted's info. Actually I can't wait for the time when there will be public confessions - it is going to happen in the near future.

Meanwhile thanks again - where can I buy Lugol's ? All the best, Om

Om from Hope Bc Canada: Hey thanks for the reply Om! I use turpentine as well.

I have the mites too and also did the turpentine thing even my hair. I didn't get rid of them however. Glsd you had such a positive experience. besides the nasty hospital stay I mean. But you lowered the mites load on your body.

I took turpentine, this am and am going to start MMS in a few hours to keep them separate. I am now coated in neem mineral oil and borax mix, with an undercoat of 90 % alcohol including flushing my nose and filling each ear for 15 minutes. Never done so much laundry in my life. I think the neem is going to be the one that tips the tide as it stops them from reproducing.

Did you read the post of the woman who sprayed and left on Kerosene and had wonderful results? Keep you posts going I like to read your thoughts! Mary

Mary from Saskatchewan -- hi Mary! This is also a follow up on my experimentation. Quite frankly, it made no difference in the end. However, it is better to experiment than to be experimented on. My next course of action is to drink 1/8 tsp borax in 1 l water daily, spread over the day.

MMS had worked very well, using it three times in succession in one session. But as with Borax the skin takes a beating. Around the eyes like thin paper! I did always the moisturizing but still, if I did not use the urine therapy, my skin would be almost ruined, having a very fair complexion.

Next I will use neem inside and out as it raises the immune system and has a considerable fame in Ayurveda. With it I will alkalize. That will be for about 12 weeks. If that does not do , there is Bill's suggestion to use Ted's remedy for morgellons.

Originally I contracted this by using someone else's pillow ten years back. I was more than busy with animal rescue and I observed the effects were creeping up eventually. If it can be remedied, time will tell. After using MMS with very good results, they did indeed come back! At any time I use my own saliver which has been very successful for some people. This is why I think urine therapy, the blue print of your body, will be a workable option. I am using it daily on a wash cloth, fresh, and it has a wonderful effect on the skin. Because I am vegan, it is quite pleasant. Those buggers had caused a red passage way on my cheekbone, that is why I thought it was time to try turpentine. It was not worth it.

I did not read of the lady who used kerosene - can you fill me in on this? I could not find it here. I wish you well in your endeavours. Actually, one night I stayed up and copied all the success posts for my perusal. Regards, Om

Hello Everyone,

I have been seeing links to these Artist Turpentine. I don't know if I would use that stuff as the bottle doesn't say 100% pure gum spirits. According to Dr. Jennifer Daniels you want to use 100% pure Gum Spirits which is different then the Synthetic Turpentine. I ordered mine from a company in Georgia who sells 100% Pure Gum Spirits. I have been using the Soap too which is pretty cool but haven't actually tried the Turpentine just yet as I had picked up a slight head cold yesterday. It's gone now but I am wondering since I couldn't smell too much I decided to smell the Turpentine that I ordered knowing it's somewhat similar to Aromatherapy that the things we breath in has an effect on us somehow. Anyways I was sniffing it a bit and I think it might have stirred some stuff up inside me possibly. Anyone know of smelling Turpentine and it basically doing anything for you internally etc? I know that I have Candida from all the Symptoms etc and will be knocking it out here real soon with this Turpentine. I also don't have the sugar on hand to start it either. But as Dr. Daniels states you must be well hydrated when doing this.

Thanks and I welcome your comments.

HI U SCOTT, , , , , , , when Dr Daniels first wrote about the benefits of Turpentine, I too had no clue where to buy it. No way was I going to buy stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's. This is low grade stuff so I did as you reported, I bought Artist turpentine.

Since then, the firm down in South Georgia has become known. I think that is the way to go. South Georgia and North Fla. was where the naval stores were concentrated way back when. Folks cut the pine trees such that they bled sap and it was collected and made into many products. Soon folks would not do this hard work so it went away. I worked for Brunswick Pulp in the early '60's and these cat faces would not cook up to make paper pulp. They were full of pine resin . They had to be cut out of the pine logs prior to cooking the chips.

Wow, why go around the watermelon as I do? That's because I've been around the watermelon. Do you want to hear from a snot nose KID that has not done sheet in their life, but talk the walk?

When I buy more turpentine , it will be from these folks in South Georgia that walk the talk .

I get mine from Diamond G Forrest Products directly. The owners are terrific. I contracted a worm from sushi that caused a host of ailments. Naturopath ordered an in-depth blood test that found a type of trichonomis spiriruls. She ordered a different blood test to verify if it was dead or alive. By this time I had been taking turpentine for 3 months and knew it was dead (was feeling alive again). So yes, it kills it! Natoropath had never heard of turpentine for deworming but was impressed after reading about it. Start slow and use amount for your weight.

I'm new to this conversation, but I have ordered 4oz of turpentine from G Forest as well and it smells so so so good. I just absolutely love it. I used to take it with sugar but now lately I haven't been taking it internally. I made a cream of just virgin coconut oil and some turp in it, and have been applying it religiously to my finger. I burnt it on my mower at least 2 months ago and it has been real wrinkly looking and then I ended up getting a blister there and it made it worse.

Well after applying that coconut/terp to it it is finally starting to heal very nicely.

Also I have been using the terp in an enema and have been getting out lots of trash, some looks like flukes. They are light green in color and looks like dried grape skins or tomato skins. I only use about 5 drops at a time, but it seems to work well. Although I haven't been able to find much info on this subject, so I tried it with success.

HI U GOOD PEOPLE DOIN, , , , , , ,

Spent several days on the computer searching for kerosene that can be ingested. Found the 100 % Gum Sperit Turpentine for my Candida treatment and while on that trek, I ran across lots of articles about kerosene to cure cancer. Can anyone shed any light on that kind of kerosene. I have keorsene lanterns, heaters and always have industrial kerosene on hand. Our early ancestors used both to stay healthy. I remember my Granddad used Coal Oil for a poisonous snake bite. He lived to be 88. Appreciate any input you may have on both oils. =======RH=========

Robert Henry: Took my first dose (2 sugar cubes saturated) of 100% Turpentine Dec 29. Got a little heavy aftertaste in the gut fallowing, so I air-popped some corn w/ added sunflower oil & sea salt, fallowed by lemon water (increase the bile flow) and woke up latter in the night feeling unusually light. What improvement I noticed that night has seemed to carry on until now. After only one dose I have been telling myself, albeit w/ some reserve, "I've found a new and powerful ally. "

I am planning another dose tomorrow. Maybe to early to draw any conclusions but compared to the effect of other natural anti-pathogens like Grapefruitseed, Olive Leaf, Neem, Oregano, the Turpentine appears waaay more powerful. I guess it all comes down to potency and Turpentine is a highly distilled pure grade. I experienced no herx or die-off to speak of, although I do use lots of fiber and take peroxide cleansing enemas daily. I also found the taste not at all unpleasant, as-a-matter-of-fact, one might add a dropper to a citrus drink enjoyable.

Hi Robert Henry, I noticed a man from the LDN Yahoo Group who is taking kerosene along with Lufenuron (aka dimilin, apparently) to rid himself of candida. (which worked very well) He said he bought it at Lowe's home center, 1K grade, mostly free of sulfur for about $10/gal and takes it (1 T, I believe, but not 100% certain) three times a week. I have no knowledge about the safety of this. He also has cancer and has written interesting protocols he has developed for it, most recently using HCL and water. You might like to join this group and type in the search word kerosene and you will be able to talk to him directly and privately through his email if you hit reply. Best wishes!

It's the absolute fastest & best way to get rid of candida & its bio-films. The turpentine just needs to be taken at appropriate doses.

There's going to be detox from this stuff. It's a given! I've been on it myself but I get worse detox symptoms from iodine than I do from turpentine. Turpentine is absolutely safe! This stuff can cure a lot of diseases! I totally trust Bill & his research!

Robert Henry from Ten Mile ---it' me, Om

I actually agree with the oil/sulphur treatment in YOUR times. Henry, but now the oil is carcinogenic and destroys tissue, causing severe health problems.

I remember a post where a woman tried to heal her dog of mange by seeing the vet. As often, nothing brought on a cure. Then someone reported her when they saw the dog's condition which brought her to court and the result was she was forced to buy the useless vet treatments. It got up my heckles. As a rescue person I have had a few times to answer for ignorasmusses who would rather kill an animal than bring it back on the road to health. So, I think in your times this was a successful cure and I am glad.

I have purchased pure turpentine but cannot come up with where to buy sulphur powder. So meanwhile I will buy NEWSTOCK from feed store which guarantees freedom from mite.

I strongly go along with some old time remedies which are practised even now in Europe. As a next thing I want to mention re your treatment of "intruders" and what to do to them: The Lord gave us free will to do as we please, with ONE condition : face up to the consequences! The key word is KARMA. Namaste, Om And all the bet.

Just an FYI in ref. to your comment about finding sulphur powder. I have been using the MSM (crystals) from local farm/feed store. (can't name brands/stoes on this site) Same type can be ordered on line manyonline pet or feed type websites. I researched this in the last year and it is as close to organic sulphur as you can get with out paying high priced of regular organic sulphur. This product is the crystal type product that looks very similar to like Epsom salts. I usually dissolve in water and use as a topical or consume depending on what the illness/wound treatment. The brand I get is 99% with no other fillers. In the past I was buying drug store capsules and breaking/empty to dissolve in water but it can have many fillers and sulphur can be picky and may be less effective if mixed with some chemicals. I think I paid about $12 for 2lbs just to give you and idea. Other organic sulphurs on the net sold for human consumption can cost you $50 and up. Works great and there are several brands/mfg so just look at the labels to make sure you get purest with out all the fillers. I think the crystals could be hand ground if you need powder.

Just some more information on Turpentine. In a recent email to me, Mr Prakash, whose son has severe parasite, candida and bacterial infections, describes the progress his son has made while using turpentine.

The newer research confirms that it is the toxins from the parasites and candida that interfers with a child's brain development which causes various autism spectrum disorders. So it therefore becomes paramount to rid Mr Prakash's son of these parasites and candida in order for his autism problems to improve. Mr Prakash has only been using the turpentine protocol for just over a month. Here is how he describes turpentine's effects against parasites, candida and biofilms in a recent email:

"My son has been making a steady progress [on MMS] with 1-2 worms/biofim per week. But after using Turp, has expelled almost twice as often. His behavioral gains were also very drastic. Another parent who has not seen any biofilm/worm for 3 months has started seeing worms and biofilm after a week on Turpentine

...Turp is Turpentine. It's made from pure gum spirits of pine trees. It's very effective against Biofilm/Candida which is the missing link in our [Autism] recovery protocols. It was used as a home remedy in olden days."

I also know that many people seem to have unfounded fears about turpentine that seem to me to be unjustified. And here's why:

If you look up the MSDS for gum turpentine they will never have any toxicity research available on the LD50 levels for rats or rabbits. However, if you can find an MSDS for turpentine that occurs before 1999 (when turpentine was suddenly banned as a poison for no good reason) then you will see that it has an LD50 (median kill) level on rats and rabbits of over 5000 mgs/kg. Now compare this LD50 value against the LD50 for ordinary table salt (2600 mgs/kg) and you will see that turpentine is almost two times safer (as a poison) than ordinary table salt.

Furthermore, the LD50 for turpentine is 5000 mgs/kg which means that a man weighing 100 kgs would need to drink 500 mls -- or two glass fulls -- of turpentine to cause death.

I'm only recommending one teaspoon of turpentine a day for adults.

Hi Healthseeker...MMS is Miracle Mineral Solution or Chlorine Dioxide that was discovered by Jim Hubble. It is a pro-oxidant (rather than anti-oxidant) method of destroying pathogens. This means that it uses its free radical properties to kill pathogens. MMS is very similar to hydrogen peroxide in this respect. Unfortunately, if you are using any form of pro-oxidant protocol like MMS or hydrogen peroxide, this will always tend to deplete the anti-oxidants in your body. Generally, MMS reduces the body's anti-oxidants because pro-oxidants will always tend to react with any anti-oxidants which would tend to cancel out each other's beneficial effects.

This is why, when supplementing MMS and hydrogen peroxide, you must never take any anti-oxidants at the same time. And this is one of the reasons why MMS only tends to be effective in the body for less than an hour -- because the body naturally tends to get rid of free radicals quickly.

Turpentine is an anti-oxidant protocol that tends to kill many forms of pathogens. Turpentine therefore does not tend to deplete anti-oxidants and therefore lasts for a much longer amount of time in the body. In Mr Prakash's usage of turpentine/MMS for his young son, I also strongly advised that he should alternate the MMS and turpentine protocols on a week on, week off basis -- you should never use MMS and turpentine at he same time.

There seems to be little or no difference between kerosene and turpentine in terms of its content or healing qualities. I also believe that turpentine is the stronger verson of the two(higher iso-pinene content). I also tend to recommend turpentine because its easy -- just look for pure gum spirit of turpentine. There are many equivalents to kerosene -- mineral oils, paraffin, white spirit etc. This tends to be confusing. But turpentine is turpentine -- just look for turpentine made from the pure sap of pine trees with no additives.

Work up to the one teaspoon dose over a week or more. Start with a 1/4 teaspoon of turps. After you have been on this protocol for a month then take a rest for about a week from the protocol. And if you have serious candida issues then you will probably get Herx or die-off. If this happens then just take a day off from the protocol and do it like that.

Due to my difficult experience with trying to help Asians and Africans as well as people from India and Pakistan with candida problems who cannot afford these nutrients, I have had to go herbal to help them which creates other difficulties. In the Philippines, the average wage is about 150 pesos per day or $3.60 per day. So, for a Filipino who has systemic candida to spend perhaps $16.00 or more on a small bottle of lugols iodine -- this is just not reasonable or possible. Similarly, for an average Filipino to be able to afford organic food is simply not possible or realistic because of the cost. As you can imagine, this has frustrated me somewhat in my efforts to help these people.

As a result of all these problems, I've been trying for some time to find another candida remedy that is easy to take, that kills candida quickly and is relatively cheap and easy to obtain.

And I think that I've found a cheaper nutrient (historically and widely used in the past) that does indeed kill candida rapidly in the intestines, blood and organs plus it does so much more. This substance is known by various synonyms: spirit oil of pines, spirit of gum turpentine or kerosene are some of the names.

There is not alot of research on these fractionated oils as supplemented oils but in the 1899 version of the Merck Manual the following has been recorded as oil of pine's supplemented benefits and are of interest:

gonorrhea

meningitis

lung disease

arthritis

abdominal problems

This list goes on and on.

Odd therefore, that in the 1990 Merck Manual and after more than 100 years of wide successful use, the above description for turpentine was radically changed to describe turpentine as very poisonous.

I guess that turpentine spirit, very much like the broadband pathogen-killing abilities of lugols iodine and hydrgogen peroxide, scared the medical research establishment with its apparently unassailable healing qualities.

Some of the constituents of turpentine:

Benefits of alpha-pinenes:

Lipophilic
Bactericidal
Fungicidal
Insecticidal
Pesticidal
Anticarcinogenic (cytotoxic on cancer cells)
Diuretic
Antioxidant
Immunostimulant
Anti-inflammatory
Anti-convulsive
Sedative
Anti-stress
Hypoglycaemic
Capable of expelling xenobiotics
Anticholinesterase activity

Benefits of beta-pinenes:

Lipophilic
Bactericidal
Fungicidal
Insecticidal
Acting against osteoclasts
Anticarcinogenic (cytotoxic on cancer cells)
Pesticidal
Antioxidant
Sedative

Oil of pines or turpentine also contains significant amounts d-limonene, cavicol, terpenes, acetic acid and butyric acid. I am not going to descrbe the benefits of these, not enough space, but -- from all the evidence and testimonials that I've read, it appears that turpentine or kerosene kills candida very rapidly in the intestines and in the blood/organs. Other effects -- it cures arthritis because oil of pines also kills mycoplasma and is also anti-cancer. It is a wonderful anti-inflammatory and a safe pain killer. In short, spirit of gum turpentine appears to be strongly anti-candida, anti-cancer, anti-mycoplasma, antibacterial, antifungal, antivirus and anti-parasitic. With the possible exceptions of iodine and hydrogen peroxide I really don't know of any other single nutrient that has these broadband anti-pathogen killing effects. It simply doesn't get better than that. No wonder then that the 1990 Merck Manual decided to trash it -- how could their drugs compete with that!!

You can read all about the evidence and testimonials here:

http://www.health-science-spirit.com/ultimatecleanse.html

http://www.rethinkingcancer.org/resources/magazine-articles/7_9-10/kerosene.php

I must admit that I haven't tried distilled oil of pines yet, due to the difficulties of getting the properly distilled oil, but I fully intend to take it for about four weeks or so (as recommended by Dr Daniels as the ultimate cleanse and blood purifier ) to see and understand its effects. For this reason, I hesitate to actually recommend it here as a cure for candida or anything else yet.

In respect of all the above on the health properties of turpentine or kerosene, I therefore have a request to everyone reading this.

Could you please ask your grandparents -- grandfathers or grandmothers -- whether their parents or granparents ever used oil of pines, turpentine or kerosene as a regular body cleanser or healer of diseases etc.? And could you report anything you find out back here on EC? Turpentine/Kerosene was supplemented widely in America and Europe before the 1900s. I'm really wanting to know dosages and effects on people who have regularly used turpentine or kerosene for healing specific diseases.

I will also be obtaining some turpentine or spirits of gum turpentine(hopefully with a low boiling point of 100 - 150 degrees C) to test out internally on myself soon and will report back its effects, good or bad, when I can.

Many thanks.

Hi Bill, I just want to thank you for your posts. This one is amazing! I am always learning from what you have to pass on. It's also always interesting to see the information which is withheld from the masses to prevent self-help in our healthcare. This is why it is so important to have a forum such as Earth Clinic to get the information out there so we, the people, can make an educated decision regarding our path we would like to pursue for ourselves.

Again, thank you always for your very informative and educational posts! May you be blessed always, Lisa

Bill--- you asked about turpentine. My Great - Grandmother once described in her memoir that her mother (Norwegian Immigrant) used it to treat them for head lice. Nits were removed. The hair was combed with a comb dipped in turpentine scrapung the scalp a bit then braided.

She also discussed a mixture of pitch and turpentine that was always kept near the stove (to stay soft) This was used for cuts and scrapes.

My great grandmother's younger sister was struck in the face with a double bladed axe and her nose was hanging by skin. My great grandmother claimed her mother put the nose back in place and covered the affected area liberally with the pitch mixture. I doubted this story as a child. Once when my great great aunt was visiting I asked to see her nose... I this was over 80 years later... My great great aunt bore only a tiny white line all around her nose!

Some more of my own thoughts on supplementing turpentine or kerosene.

Bye the way, paraffin is also a similar form or synonym for kerosene but I have avoided using it because of the pink and blue parrafin forms used in UK and Australia respectively. These coloured forms are definitely not healthy to ingest due to the additives which are used to colour them. There is also paraffin oil which is used medicinally for constipation in UK but this form does not have the same notable chemical benefits of supplementing turpentine.

Whenever a plant is damaged by an act of God or by animals, fungus, bacteria etc, the plant has its own immune system which produces a group of substances that both defend the injury against pathogen invasion and heal the damaged area. This group of chemicals that are secreted by plants has been given a name -- salvestrols. Resveratrol is a typical example of a salvestrol. If you like, salvestrols are equivalent to our own antibodies.

Production of pine resin is also a response to injury for a pine tree and this resin contains a whole host of salvestrols to defend the plant against further damaging pathogen attack and to help seal the injury.

There appears to be two significant areas of beneficial activity in how turpentine actually works in our bodies. The first area is the intestines -- where gum of turpentine's strongly anti-pathogenic actvities come into play. Secondly is the major and unparalleled blood purifying activity that these oils seem to have once they get into the blood. Therefore and concerning this, Walter Last advises that small amounts of the thinner oil forms -- the ones with lower boiling points of between 100 and 150 degrees C -- will be absorbed easily through the stomach with their main area of action being in the blood. As such, we have the thicker turpentine distilled oil forms -- those which have their boiling points up to 200 degrees C, which have more action in the intestines because these are not so easily absorbed into the blood from the stomach. So what would be most advantageous is to take a turpentine form that is equally beneficial to the intestines and blood. To this end and to get the thinner turpentine forms(with a lower B P) of turpentine into the intestines, Walter Last suggests adding a second thicker oil -- say oil of paraffin or castor oil -- to ensure that the turpentine is carried directly into the intestines from the stomach. Dr Jennifer Daniels advises taking the lower boiling point or thinner form with sugar in order to ensure that at least some of the turpentine gets into the intestines. The low boilling point forms seem to be the best ones to supplement because many of the aromatics, such as aldehydes, which are not good for the body, have already been removed by distilled separation.

RE: KEROSENE CURE To begin with I was born (1948) in a remote little town in the Philippines where tap water and electricity was too expensive. At night we used kerosene lamp, the simplest method we used by using a pepsi bottle with the holed cap for the cotton wick, the used kerosene and mom's home made coconut oil mix was used whenever we kids got cold/cough. Before bedtime, she rubbed on our throat, chest and back, then covered our body with flannel, throat wrapped with hankerchief to keep warm and off to bed.. The next morning or after a couple of mornings.. Cold/cough gone. Until my mom was in her eighties.. she was using this mixture to cure her cold/cough. She never take OTC cough syrups.

Their life style was very simple/close to nature.. Whole life drinking spring water, cooking in clay pots using wood for fire, never used stainless or aluminum pans/ pots, for frying they used an iron wok which is seldom used since cooking oil is expensive. Anothe habit was weekly swim in the sea, planted their own veggies. My parents did not know what is processed/fast food. The different life style between my mom and her sister(she lived in manila most of her life) resulted to breast cancer death while my mom died of traffic accident at the age of 80 with no illness while my father who drunk local coconut wine in his youth died of kidney failure at the age of 84.

I wish I could have a life like my parents which is impossible now that I am living in dubai a place where almost nothing is natural.

keep up the good work Bill.. God Bless Us.

First, thanks to Louwrence from Rustenburg for your reply to my post (i almost overlooked it) w/ the Walter Last link to this seemingly great anti-pathogen cure-all. Now thanks to Bill for his interest in the possibilities of these substances as medicine.

My recent results from using other natural anti-pathogens like Colloidal Silver and MMS have been mixed, but I never really sustained any kind of therapeutic level or doses. One big reason for my lack of commitment is the fact that both these agents are known reducing agents of not only bad pathogens but also good endogenous Glutathione enzymes. With an already damaged Glutathione production problem just kinda leaves me more than a little discouraged on these.

So, the Turpentine or Kerosene agents seem very promising except the administration. Question: have not any other routes of administration been tried as it first seems somewhat disgusting drinking these compounds, and also absorption problems?

Hi Bill, I read your comment about kerosine and remembered the cab driver who picked us from the airport last week on our return from India. Noticing our cold and coughs, he related a story of his grandmother, who had come to the US from East Europe: she once cured him of a severe bout of cough by making him drink milk with a few drops of kerosine in it. I listened to this story in disbelief, although I didn't let on, since he was such a dear, polite man. Kerosine, when I was growing in India, was used as a fuel for stoves in the kitchen. In fact, those tragic 'dowry deaths' where North Indian brides are burnt by being set on fire use kerosine! The cab driver, who said he was in his seventies, says he never suffered from such severe cough again. Reading your information now, I am beginning to revise my opinion. Thanks!

Hi Suzy... Much thanks and God Bless you for your speedy response to my request. It seems that there is no end to the benefits of turps and kerosene oils.

Some more info on my meditations on the usefulness of Turps and Kerosene distillates. I'm sure many here would be horrified at me saying or even admitting that these oils are also used as paint thinners and varnish removers.

But that's the whole point isn't it? -- That is one of the biggest benefits of these oils. To illustrate this I'll just tell a true story. I read a magazine article, a long time ago, where a very famous gastro-intestinal surgeon was being interviewed. The interviewer asked all the usual questions -- but I really became interested when the surgeon said outright that, in all his 35 years as a gastro surgeon -- and during all this time -- he admitted that he had never ever seen what he would describe as a healthy pink inner intestines. Instead, he described most of the inner surface of the intestines he had seen "as having a smooth dark grey appearance, as if the villi surfaces had been varnished...". When asked what had caused this dark grey varnished look by the interviewer, the emminent gastro shot back without any hestation at all -- "Unquestionably it was due to excess vegetable oils in the diet."

I've aleady said that Turpentine and Kerosene are used as capable solvents to get rid of and dissolve varnish -- so the benefits of these oils wrt removing the intestine's inner varnish (caused by these chemically processed, oxidized vegetable oils) should be more than clear now. As well, the health benefits for both your intestines and your nutritional pathways arising from this should also be fairly obvious.

Hi CityGirl32... The right forms of Turpentine or Kerosene for supplementation are described in an article by Walter Last shown here:

http://www.health-science-spirit.com/kero.htm

You should also easily be able to buy some of these forms of turps or kerosene -- if not all of them -- quite easily within the US or from the internet.

I would also not advise that your friend brings turpentine back to the US from the Philippines in their luggage because this might cause her some considerable trouble -- turpentine is a flammable solvent and is definitely not allowed on planes now and the airport checks on people coming into America are also fairly rigorous now. So perhaps better and less trouble all round just to order this off the internet or buy within America itself if you can.

Also my warm thanks to Lucena, Suzy, Trina -- and any others that I've missed out-- for posting some wonderful info on the use of Turpentine as a healer.

Among the top culprits of "bad" vegetable oils is: Trans Fatty Acids, Hydrogenated Veg. Oil like margarine, and V. Oils that have gone rancid. I use very little V. Oil and hardly ever cook with it, but I do add one cap 250mg BHT, one 8,000 iu Vit-A, and one 400 iu mixed natural tocopherols to 1 bottle mixed Veg oil. I supplement Fish Oil softgels as well as Flax Seed Oil softgels and sometimes either Borage or Evening Primrose Oil.

And of course we now have the GMO's to contend with.

Hey Bill,

Thanks for your great research, it's really helped me a lot. I managed to find the right Turpentine with a boiling point of 165 degrees C. Does this mean it will be absorbed into the blood from the stomach; As Turpentine with lower boiling points do (i.e., between 100?C and 150?C) or will it have more action the intestines as you mentioned about Turpentine with boiling points up to 200?C ? Have you found a Turpentine with a boiling point in the lower range? Sorry. I know I'm showing up late to the party.

Hi Kevin... There are several ways to supplement turpentine. I either supplement a teaspoon of turpentine with a teaspoon of either molasses or raw honey, mix them in my mouth, then down it with some water. You can also take the turpentine with sugar. Or I just take the teaspoon of turpentine with just some water.

If you have candida or intestinal problems then perhaps it is better to take the turpentine with sugar, molasses or honey just before meals. Then less turpentine gets absorbed directly into the blood from the stomach and most of the turps gets carried by the food into the intestines where it is most needed to get rid of the candida.

Taking the turpentine or kerosene with water or milk on an empty stomach, where it is more directly absorbed into the blood, is mainly the way that people in eastern Europe take this remedy. This method -- which acts to purify the blood -- seems to be very effective against disease outside the intestines like many and varous cancers, tuberculosis, leukemia, diabetes, sepsis etc. See this link.

As to your question, I've been using pine oil(essential oil) derived from Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) for the last six months. I have not been able to find any respectable turpentine or kerosene in the Philippines yet. However, Walter Last recommends several types and brands of turpentine or kerosene that can be used here in this article.

Hi Christine... Turpentine or distilled pine oil contains many terpenes -- of which limonene is just one. Pine oil usually contains about 0. 5% - 2% limonene content. The major constituents of pine oil are alpha- and beta-pinenes(also terpenes). The many health characteristics and benefits of the pinene content of pine oil are defined in this link.

The most interesting aspect of its healing properties is that turpentine is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-mycolasma, anti-viral and anti-parasitic. As well, these pinenes remove candida and bacterial biofilms quickly due to its solvent properties as a paint stripper. Pinenes can also expel xenobiotics -- they act to remove poisons and foreign drugs from the body.

I also must relate an interesting story and side-effect concerning my own use of pine oil. About six or seven months ago, just before starting to use and road-test the pine oil, I had a tooth capped because my gums had receded and the tooth roots were exposed. After I had this done, about a week later, the tooth roots became well infected and started to ache and it just got worse and worse. This tooth also became very loose and wobbly and I thought that I would eventually have to have the tooth pulled. I certainly did not want to loose this back tooth.

Then I started my experiment with supplementing about 8 - 12 drops of pine oil every day with a teaspoon of molasses or raw honey or with a glass of water.

After about a month into this protocol I noticed that the tooth pain or infection had gone away completely. The tooth and roots had also firmed up considerably.

So, as a result of this discovery and every night before bed, I would just put two drops of turpentine on my finger, wipe it on my tongue and spread it around my mouth with my tongue. I would not drink any water -- I would just leave the drops of pine oil in my mouth overnight. This was the last thing I did before my head hit the pillow.

First thing in the morning when I woke up, I noticed that my saliva or spit was thin and not sour, thick and mucusy. Also and amazingly -- no bad breath. This was all evidence to me that pine oil was successful and useful at killing bad bacteria in the mouth.

By putting just two drops on the tongue before sleep and keeping it in the mouth overnight, this will also have other minor benefits. During the night, the saliva and pine oil will naturally travel down the esophagus to the stomach -- effectively and gently disinfecting these regions overnight. As well and as you sleep, the pine oil vapour would also travel to the nose and lungs -- also helping to kill pathogens in these regions.

I can now crunch hard seeds and nuts with my once-infected back tooth. I also believe that taking two drops of pine oil every night helps to remove biofilms on the teeth, kills plaque bacteria and prevents gingivitis, thus improving and healing both the gums and teeth. I was also quite surprised but particularly pleased that pine oil successfully and completely cured both the infected tooth and the pain.

For myself, I will continue to use pine oil in this simple manner as a regular nightly protocol to help keep my teeth and gums healthy.

The Recochem manufacturer provides a few turpentines and the one that is the best is the Pure Turpentine Bio Option one. It has a boiling point of 150-180C. This is the one most used. Turpentine effects on me--it's doing so Something!

I am doing the castor oil, with 1 tsp turpentine now. This is will be my first FULL 4 day cleanse. I tried previously, and just got to 2 days.

During round 1, terminated at around two, days, I had various effects:

*heart pain, as if something was moving through my arteries

* many small red hives appeared on my inner lower leg, and ankle

* on my chin and face a small blister opened up, just one

In each area.

I did did not feel I was successful I completing the cleanse, so, I wanted to continue..

During round 2, start four days in a row, and then twice a week, I had various effects:

*for 1 day, I had mouth blisters and sores

*i could feel it moving things in my heart though not as sharp

*early rising now, I could not get out of bed early all year until two weeks ago-- when I started the cleanse

*i have been sleepy on this drive that I do, once per week-- was so tired I had to pull over... and today, I got sleepy again

*renewed focus, my ability to learn, read and study had increase (could have been the eclipse energy too?)

* I am able to think what I want to do and easily do it, whereas in past 9 or so years, I reluctantly am doing responsible things and am cluttered -- now I am in goal setting, cleaning, and no more feet dragging mode

*renewed enthusiasm, I found myself expressive and just elated that I could hug someone, was I getting back to my old self like when I was in college?

* I could feel it in my brain, chest, and uterus? It was definitely there doing something

*i feel lighter

* I have a pain in my left ovary, but I am not sure what that is about

also, I have infertility now, so am wondering how this can help?

Thanks for for this wonderful forum-- so happy to learn more from you!

I was told of an old concoction used for muscle and joint pain many years ago. It is made by combining two ounces of turpentine, two ounces of apple cider vinegar and one egg in a blender. Simply blend until it is creamy looking and use as a topical liniment. It does not need to be refrigerated, keeps for months when stored in a glass jar with lid and is very effective.

Be careful turpentine sold at the supermarket isnt real turpentine, its slightly more volatile than kerosene made by the oil industry. Real turpentine comes from pine trees and is a bit of a mission to make.

You are right, Gavin.

I have found gum turpentine in NZ and we make our own emulsions for turpentine bath.

You make your own emulsions? Is there a formula and recipe for that?

Yes, we make and sell them worldwide. I cannot place the link to our website but if you will Google - turpentine bath tonic you will find it first in search results. We almost finished the video about the procedure which will be on Youtube and just need to put titers in English language version.

It is quite difficult to make yellow tonic but more easy to make the white one.

Ingredients of yellow tonic - vegetable turpentine -750ml, castor oil-300ml, oleic acid-200ml, caustic soda-20g and water -200ml. But you cannot just mix it, it a special technology to make the tonic.

Ingredients of white tonic - vegetable turpentine -500ml, water -550ml, baby soap -30g, salicylic acid -3g, camphor spirith -20g. Again, it a special technology to make this tonic.

Is there a pronounced or slight odor w/this concoction, do I hve to stay home after using this solution?

My family has used turpentine topically and internally and we have not noticed there being an odor issue. High quality turpentine smells really good anyway.

I am careful about using garlic and then going out among others but do not worry about it with turpentine.

I remember turpentine from my childhood. My grandparents used it. My grandfather took care of his own garden until he was 90 and he passed on at 93. My grandmother was 86 when she passed on. I remember them using it on a ringworm that I had.

I received my bottle from Diamond G turpentine last Friday. I soaked my feet in a basin of warm water for 20 minutes. I soaked in it for 20 - 30 minutes using 3 capfuls, I felt the tingling burning and got out, I pat myself dry, I don't rub. I soaked in 2-1/2 caps today, way less tingling.

No side effects that can't be controlled!

I noticed that I have not panicked about a pain pill (hydrocodone) since Saturday morning, nor have I taken one. That had been a problem for many years. I was afraid to go anywhere without that hydrocodone because of terrible pain in my low back, both hips, both heels.

I have not taken it orally as of yet, I don't like things that taste bad....lol.

However make sure you increase your water intake

Thank you Dr Jennifer Daniels for reminding me of a TRUTH!

Read that you ordered from diamond G did you have any issues at all? I tried emailing them asking if their bottles contain droppers at the top and asked how much shipping would be for an 8oz bottle but didn't get any response back from them. Did you consume the turpentine oil too? The bottle with droppers are very convenient as you don't have to worry about spilling any.

I would not expect them to answer. Turpentine has a warning not to be ingested, so naturally they could not say that.

I was wondering if you are still using turpentine or has the condition cleared up. What were the other side effects? Did you need to stay inside while you were actively using it in the beginning of treatment? Any snswers would be appreciated.

My girlfriend is desperately battling with parasites she acquired in Guatemala, she's tried all kinds of things the past 2 months, and she's going to do a turpentine cleanse, but will this kill the eggs of the parasites as well?

I also did the four-day turpentine Castrol oil regimen. I was tired, tummy cramps, but by day four I no longer had fuzzy poop, a sign of Candida. I identified seven different kinds of parasites that I expel, yuck!

After many years of pleading with doctors about ongoing dysentery, I looked on youtube for intestinal parasite remedies. The first video referenced turpentine. In my research for a cure, I ask many old timers and immigrants what they used to cure parasites. Coal tar was the response from the Old Folks. I thought they actually meant "coal" tar or oil. I did not know they were referring to turpentine.

I reviewed the video and then proceeded to research further. I headed off to Walmart and bought a can in the paint department, came home, poured 1 teaspoon in some honey and drank it. Not bad tasting. Like a cough drop. The next day massive amount of parasites came out with nasty looking pus sacks around them. The second dose brought out very few and the third dose was clean. This was after 8 weeks of 1 dose of pyrantel pamoate and 1 dose of ivermectin daily. I suffered for years and all I needed was good old fashion turpentine.

I have a colorectal doctors appointment tomorrow, I am taking the can with me along with a water bottle full of the parasites. This will be my 11 visit to this doctor for dysentery.

John: Congrats on the cleanse. Backing up a bit, all those doses of Ascaris meds apparently not doing any good, admits that it was likely fluke or tapeworm you're dealing with. So when you go to Dr., don't go radical with your can of Turpentine as this product is warned by the federal authorities as a "dangerous, hazardous chemical" and is warned against human consumption.

Don't consider yourself out of the woods just yet, your visible samples are likely only a myriad of stages or juveniles and the adult is still alive. The worst case would be an adult tapeworm. I am not certain a colon endoscopy would revel an adult T.W. as they usually lodge in the upper intestine, but something you need to consider.

Let us know of your progress.

HOW TO USE TURPENTINE WITH A BLOCKED SIGMOID COLON

I have been using Oregano Oil for intestinal worms, pretty sure one is the Rope worm with fair results. I have Turpentine from the Diamond Co and feel safe there but my big problem is that my Sigmoid colon is blocked. It takes days for the Oregano Oil plus prescribed laxative to make its way pass the stricture. I'm concerned about Turp staying that long in the upper intestines and possibly getting in my lungs. Also, with this blockage what dosage would Bill recommend and any other advise. Thank God I have a surgeon who is working a little with me in case I perforate but knows zero about worms/parasites. My PC, I fired him, so don't a doctor so its all up to me and the expertise from someone like Bill or someone who has had the similar problem and I hope with good results. I'm open for any help. It takes so long for anything to pass through my intestines and I'm always very weak/fatigued and sick and think it might be the "die-off" and the toxins staying too long in the upper intestines. I have expelled a few worms but feel that possibly due to the length of time it takes for them to pass through many of them have died and disintegrated causing my weakness and feeling bad all the time.

I also have the beasts in my sinus and the Oregano Oil has seemed to help there and wonder if the Turp would kill them also? I don't intend to take both of the Oil and Turp together so need dosage what Bill would recommend for each. Thank You

I am 89, White female, prior to my parasite problems I weighed 139, my oncologist took note in a annual exam that I had lost 20 lbs and before things settled, had heart attack and stint within 2 wks when he saw my weight loss; have lost down to 92 lbs but have been able to keep 104lbs for the past 6 months but still have all the parasite problems with intestines and sinus.

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT IF BILL FROM THE HOME TEAM WOULD PLEASE GIVE ME HIS SUGGESTIONS. i'M A FORMER NURSE AND KNOW THAT YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT MD'S BUT SEEM TO BE VERY GOOD RESEARCHERS.

Can you take turpentine, castor oil and sugar for a parasite cleanse? Sugar as bait, turpentine to kill them, and castor oil to promote an easy exit for the parasites.

Hello, I was wondering if turpentine can be good for me too? I have blasto and I have read numerous positive comments from people who were relieved after taking turpentine against their candida but NONE for blasto. I wonder if this will work for me too I already read the candida cleaner report from Dr.jennifer daniels and ive seen numerous videos from sun fruit dan about this subject and im think this is the only way for me to get rid of these parasites. but one of my biggest concerns is that I am constipated, and according to the protocol you need 3 BMs a day? cant I just use the turp and follow the protocol and maybe use the active charcoal if I get the die off symptoms even if I am constipated? I also heard the turp is a laxative on it self? please let me know your thought about this. Thanks.

Hi Eve, I have the same issues as you and I have whipple's disease. I was a respiratory therapist for 10yrs. I too have lost a ton of weight, strength, and muscle mass because of this infection. I've been taking black seed oil and just started the turpentine a few days ago. I'm hoping this can kill the t. whipplei bacteria that's causing all of my issues.

I'm taking Klean Strip 100% Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine, boiling point between 315 and 350 degrees Fahrenheit (157 to 177 degrees Celsius). I purchased it at Home Depot, but I believe Walmart also carries it.
